DRAGONS OF THE MESOZOIC
I got commissioned to design a pterosaur back tattoo, and decided to use the opportunity to redraw my original dragons of the Mesozoic design.
Pterodaustro guinazui
A small, bizarre pterosaur from early Cretaceous South America. A member of Ctenochasmatidae, a pterosaur group characterized by their filter feeding dentition. Using modified teeth on the bottom jaw and crushing teeth on the upper jaw, Pterodaustros sifted shallow waters feeding on small creatures. A feeding style similar to flamingos may have resulted in pink coloration.
gourghh... wrinkly pterodaustro....
adopted a character on toyhouse i saw that was just a headshot so i went ahead and drew the rest of him for a reference...
this also made me realize that I could be selling sketchy artwork so i made linework finish and color finish a separate thing on my vGen so now you can probably get art from me pretty cheap since sketches aren't ever a hassle to do
flocking 5/15/2025 — Vasuki, Masura, Pterodaustro, Labrador Duck
P is for...?
All of the P names in my Paleo Party! Are there any I'm missing?
Notes:
Not pictured - Pomatrum and Paradoxides. I ran out of space ;u;
The Paddlefish as a general family are still alive today. I intended to make the Chinese Paddlefish specifically, but turns out I drew a different species! They're still technically a living fossil so they count lol
