i actually did i quick google search for "lush misogyny" and what turned up was about some "performance art" so to speak about animal cruelty that were very physically taxing and were done by females, not really sure where i stand on it tbh

oooh ok that’s what i remember.

i think the main criticisms of it were;

there are other ways to promote your product than pulling a PEETA-esque ad campaign

just because women are the main people who buy your products doesn’t mean they are the only people you need to use in a performance art that’s this violent

plus (my own input) you’re much more likely to find cruelty free products targeted at women. like i get what you’re doing, Lush, but i think there was a better way to do it.

i've never seen or heard anything of the sort tbh? and ive been shopping at lush for years

i mean i’ve just ~heard~ things and like tbh the one bath bomb i’ll buy for my friend isn’t going to make or break them. but i just want to at least try to support companies that aren’t that shitty

so idk i just want to see if anyone knows anything or if it’s all completely unfounded (which is totally possible)
