Two against a purple worm -- By Fangorn, aka Chris Baker, originally drawn for the UK publication of Holmes’ Basic D&D (Games Workshop, 1977) then reprinted in White Dwarf 6, April/May 1978. Like all of Fangorn's interior illustrations for Holmes, it was a reinterpretation of one of David Sutherland's images in the original US printings.
And since i was gone for a while (courtesy of Tumblr not wanting to let me post) WORMM

Would you still love me if I were a worm?
Like an earthworm?
Haha... no...
Artist credit because they don't have Tumblr
So when I was a kid, my dad was going to community college and while he was in class I was allowed access to the computer labs which had just updated to Mac’s at the time. And I became familiar with GarageBand. Intimately familiar with GarageBand. I mostly played with strings and guitars.
This being said, MBMBaM has that adventure zone series and I’ve listened to most of it. It’s very good. But even so one song - purple worm - triggers my is this GarageBand sense.
Like it’s one of the better songs on the album but like, I can’t shake the feeling that this song specifically was made in garage band.
Dream Journal 1/23/25
Had a dream about the new DnD 2024 Monster Manual.
Ther was a purple worm variant for the surface with little wings near the head. It could burst up out of the ground in its attack, then "hover". half submerged and vertical, then use it's Reaction to pivot and dive back down on anything it detected.
Basically "listening" for anything outsideitusual tremorsense to give itself away with an attack or movement.
