Python VS Ruby is a question that has been asked over the years, Read here for the full comparison of Python and Ruby on Rails.
In this blog we compare PHP vs Python vs Ruby and try to choose a programming language that is best suited for developers.
Fuck Ruby
Ok, so I've made my decision without a doubt. And if you can't tell from the title I'm sticking with Python.
I don't care what anyone says, Ruby's fucked. I got as far as trying to figure out there oh so special "being able to code on one line" and I was done. That .each loop or do or what ever messed up so called loops they have in Ruby are fucked.
I found Python way easier to learn and I find it way easier to figure out what other peoples code is trying to say. Now obviously I still have a hard time with that, but considering I've only mean learning how to read and writer code for a couple months I think I'm doing pretty good.
Now as for people comparing Ruby to Python they must be blind. As far as I've gotten learning Ruby, I don't see it, other than you can do a lot with a small amount of code.
One more thing then I'm done ranting, Ruby is not easy to learn! Maybe it's because I started learning Python and JavaScript first, but I found Ruby very complicated and hard to understand.
Now people are probably going to say that I didn't give Ruby a long enough chance but ruby didn't let me. I didn't find learning it very pleasant and most of the time I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be doing or how I was supposed to be doing it
So that's it, I just wanted to rant a little about my short experience with Ruby. Maybe someday I'll try it again but for now I'm sticking with Python and JavaScript. Now my next dilemma is which JavaScript engine to use lol
