As Christmas time draws closer and the holiday season comes to an end, my heart goes out to my fellow Australians living in NSW, QLD and SA.

This is one of the biggest fires in Australian history. The states of New South Wales and Queensland have been on fire since early November, and have lost 3.1 MILLION HECTARES OF LAND!

Nobody seems to be talking about it, nobody seems to be doing anything about it. HALF OF THE COUNTRY IS ON FIRE!!

I hope that all those affected by the fires receive some help. Many people have been lost, it will be many people’s first Christmas without a special loved one. Whether that be wives, husbands, parents, children, extended family or even pets. Many people have lost houses and valuable possessions. 

So please, PLEASE, can those still in fire-affected areas stay safe. I am so sorry for all of your losses, especially around this special time of year.

My country is burning and the prime minister isn’t doing anything about it

This is what it looks like for me, and I’m not even near the fires.

Scott Morrison isn’t doing ANYTHING to help with the fires, instead spending his money on expensive vacations or refurbishing the pms plane.
