Talking about the environment is only lip service if you're not actively boycotting the animal industry by going vegan because they are one of the greatest reasons of Deforestation, Land Overusage, Water Overusage and Wastage, Methane and other Gas Emmitions, Biodiversity Destruction and most importantly, the suffering and murder of our fellows from the animal kingdom.
EAT VEGETABLES, FRUITS, LENTILS, LEGUMES, GRAINS, NUTS AND SEEDS AND BOYCOTT THE ENSLAVEMENT AND MURDER OF ANIMALS.
We will end up saving so many resources automatically if this industry ends and the world will heal when it moves away from hurting animals. Go vegan. Seriously. If you give a damn about the world, go vegan and spread the word.
We must protect her at all costs
I just started this book about the climate crisis. It compiles work from a diverse group of women, and I’m so excited to read it. I’ll let you guys know how i like it when I’m done! 🌍
This week’s #SupportBrooklyn highlights UPROSE, an intergenerational, multi-racial, nationally-recognized, women of color led, grassroots organization that promotes sustainability and resiliency through community organizing, education, leadership development and cultural/artistic expression in Brooklyn, NY.
“Sunset Park is a frontline BIPOC community of over 130,000 residents with overwhelming sources of pollution from 3 power plants in a ten-block radius, two solid waste transfer stations, the Gowanus Expressway (>200,000 cars and >25,000 diesel trucks daily), cement plants, brownfields, etc. For decades, UPROSE has been part of local, statewide, and national climate justice leadership - successfully creating community-led solutions and models for Just Transition. Our goal is to strengthen social cohesion and create a regenerative feminist economy grounded in racial justice and equity. A favorite Brooklyn memory of ours was after a seven-year fight against the multi-billion dollar private developer rezoning, UPROSE and the Sunset Park community celebrated the withdrawal of their rezoning application that would have rezoned 3.3 million square feet in NYC's largest Significant Maritime Industrial Area (SMIA) for luxury commercial, hotel, and entertainment uses.UPROSE's community-led alternative proposal- the Green Resilient Industrial District, is a comprehensive plan to bring mandated public investment for the green re-industrialization of Sunset Park and create thousands of local, well-paid, and accessible climate jobs in the community.”

#SupportBrooklyn is a moment every other week where we highlight one of our favorite Brooklyn businesses and organizations. This series gives a voice to places that enrich the Brooklyn experience through their mission, spirit, and service. We’re in a moment of great uncertainty and the last year has been a difficult one for all—especially small businesses. So what a better way to spread some love than to give some love to our favorite Brooklyn spots!?
so much bad climate news I’ve been seeing this week
pls I beg for the new gen Z trend to be we find the exact names and addresses of fuel, electric, etc companies ceos and literally hog tie them and drag them out of their houses, and burn them alive on a cross and live broadcast it
I honestly think that would be pretty fucking sick and would cause a mass shift into happiness
Failure is not an option. Collage by me, 2021. Do not repost without credit.
Meteorologists pointed out that February 2021 was the month of temperature contrasts worldwide In February 2021, the temperature below average prevailed over most parts of the USA. The states of Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, & Oklahoma ranked February 2021 as the 10th coldest February in the history of observation. In 2021, North America had the 20th smallest temperature for February since 1909 and the coldest February in 27 years. Scientists determined that the temperature in most parts of Scandinavia, North America, & North Asia was 5.4°F below average for February. The Pacific Ocean, parts of the southern oceans, and Australia had notably cool temperatures for February as well. Oceania didn’t stay behind and had its coldest February in 9 years. Snow cover varied from country to country. North America had its 4th largest snow cover in February ever, Eurasia had the 14th largest snow cover in February. February 2021 was also a month of contrasts. Thus the temperature in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres was 1.51°F and 0.81°F respectively above average for February. The average worldwide surface temperature in February was 1.17°F above the XX century average, making it the 16th highest for February since 1879. In Eastern Canada, most of Europe, and southern & northeastern Asia the temperature was 3.6°F above average. #allatraunites #creativesociety #weather #climatecrisis #synchronization #cataclysms #climateapocalypse #globalclimatechange #climatechange #climatecontrol #climateemergancy #severeweather #forceofnature #naturaldisaster #climatedisaster #climatetruth #interestingfacts #climatenews #climatefacts #cold #newrecord #usa #weatherusa #weathernews #coldestweather #coldweather https://www.instagram.com/p/CNHbPe0AgGb/?igshid=1xymlplbrbzv4
