http://boormanlawyers.com.au/qld/traffic-law/ Today #BoormanLawyers appeared at #Southport #Courthouse on a serious matter involving a repeat High Range #DUI offender who was facing 4 separate charges including: 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 1️⃣High Range DUI 0.165 (3rd DUI Offence) 2️⃣Unlicensed Driving Offence 3️⃣Drive a Vehicle without required Interlock Device 4️⃣Speeding 30km/hr over the limit 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 With a prior Low Range DUI in 2010 & a High Range DUI in 2015 our client was facing his 3rd DUI & 3 other serious traffic offence leaving him in a position where a term of imprisonment was a very real possibility. 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 We were able to show the Court that our client had taken some life changing & positive steps to not only admitting to the fact that he has a problem with alcohol but further to obtain professional treatment from his Clinical Psychologist. 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 Our client also completed the approved #TrafficOffendersProgram & learnt some major lessons surrounding driver safety. 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 We were able to show the Court that one of the Police charges (Unlicensed Driving) should be reduced to an Unlicensed Driving Simpliciter charge as opposed to the charge of driving under a disqualified licence.
