Try to think of what purrl's specialty would be in yogscast minecraftia. (Magic? Plants? Animals? Potions?) maybe giving Purrl an accessory regarding their interests could help. Then also think about what their backstory is. Have they always been partially cat/winged creature? How does Purrl have the ability to morph into the cat persona? Is there an item which could allow them to do it? What could the item be and where did they get it? I like your design as it is, but maybe this'll help! :)

I have thought a lot about this, I just couldn't figure out a way to mix all the conflicting interests together into a solid theme that made sense.

I've actually written lots of concepts and ideas out on my tumblr page about minecraft purrl specifically, and even my deviantart a couple times, and I think recently a concept has arisen that just helps to link everything together. 

With the addition/discovery of the wither cats, the pieces are falling into place better than they ever have. 

Excuse me for a moment while I go off on a bit of a tangent, and feel free follow me if you're curious... ;3

So, Purrl. The cat, the simplicity of her design is that she's small, has wings, and wears a necklace with a pearl, shaped like a star on it. 

A while ago, withers were added to minecraft. what do they drop? the only star-shaped thing in the entire game, which just so happens to be the same color as the one pictured on purrl's necklace. 

well, lets try and see if this coincidence has some solidity to it, what do I like? 

I like outer-space, I'm also pretty in love with the creepy/dark side of life. Stars? yes. Withers? double yes. 

I consider myself unhealthy, sickly, and I am. I'm underweight and going through a bunch of horrible health problems that I'd rather not go into, but in short, I feel like death, and in a sense I'm withering away. 

So, I like cats; too. and I didn't want to go full-on anthro cat person because I think that's a little weird and kinda awkward to try and express in minecraft (the only person who pulls that off well is panda, but a panda is a simple design anyways) 

I didn't want to neko it up because that's too much akin to anime, which I'm not a particularly huge fan of. 

I like gore, I like nature, I want to live off the land and breathe through the world in harmony, while still ruling over my domain. 

I took a lot of inspiration for purrl's design from nepeta from homestuck, despite the fact that i consider our personalities to be opposite. 

So what features did I choose to exaggerate? her teeth, I gave her fangs like a cat, which could double as another creepier stereotype in the world of fantasy, vampires. Vampire-cat? well now that's just borderline werewolf. That could explain how she could shift forms, right? 

but how could that combine itself with the priorly established theme of wither stars? ender pearls? at the time it was a confusing mesh of ideas that i hadn't quite figured out how to fix, reaching back into the depths of yoglabs finding an untold story of the feral vampire cats that had gone on a murdering rampage in the aztec ruins. 

but then,

Oh no… it looks like you went for some really deep questions. Curses, now you’ll all know that I’m human too.

4) What do you think about most?

I, uh, generally avoid thinking about things as much as possible, I don’t do well when left with my own thoughts. I just try and keep myself occupied most times of the day. So, I guess I spend most of my time thinking about the Yogs (or other entertainment) and work?*

13) What is your greatest weakness; your greatest strength?

Just one weakness? But that’s too hard, haha. My greatest weakness is probably my lack of motivation. It’s really difficult to do things when you just kind of don’t feel like it. Sometimes I’ll get a really huge burst of inspiration and work on something really intensely for a few hours… and then never touch it again. Bluh.

My greatest strength is probably my patience. For instance, I’m generally willing to spend as much time as needed explaining something to people if they don’t quite get it. I think it’s a pretty cool quality to have.

55) You can re-live any point of time in your life. The time-span can only be a half-hour, though. What half-hour of your past would you like to experience again?

Quarky, asking all of the tough questions. I’d probably go back to summer camp. I’m not sure exactly which half-hour though. Possibly either during one of the camp fires or while doing something with horses. We went on this 6 hour trail ride once, and that was pretty darn great. Maybe the beginning of that trip? I miss camp.

* this probably isn’t an especially healthy way to live. You might want to try not doing this.

Aw man I wish I could knit I never could get the hang of it although I can crochet pretty well.

Haha, the reason it's abandoned is because I'm not terribly good at knitting either :3  Maybe if I feel like trying again someday I'll be able to make something halfway decent.

I've tried to crochet once or twice, but I just couldn't get the hang of it. Maybe yarn just isn't my thing :(

2. Bread is probably my favourite food. Bread is amazing. There are so many different kinds, and it’s always delicious unless there’s something like jalapenos or raisins in it. Then the bread is still delicious as long as you eat around those bits.

17. If you mean “Do you play any instruments well”, the answer is no. Otherwise, I have played the flute, cello, and violin.

19. Cute pictures. Just fill my submit box with cute pictures. That is all I want for my birthday.

28. I am a big fan of Wednesdays lately. I generally don’t work on Wednesdays, and it’s nice to get a day off in the middle of the week.

34. The best time of day is between 1am and 4 am. It’s really quiet and dark out, and it’s a great time for just driving around.

49. I don’t watch very many movies… I think the last one I saw in theaters was Pacific Rim. Before that it was Iron Man 2, though. I don’t get out much.

50. I’m going to say two books that I’ve reread a bunch. Sum: Fourty Tales from the Afterlives by David Eagleman is a fantastic book of short stories that just make you think. Abarat by Clive Barker is a great fantasy adventure book that is a lot less gory than most of Barker’s other works.

51. I have no idea. I used to have a big crush on both Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom (I was young and PotC had just come out… you can’t blame me), but I’m not sure who my favourite actor would be now.
