🤍 White: What's a fanfic scenario or idea you'd like someone else to write so that you can read it?
😂 I say this repeatedly: the That '70s Show characters playing Dungeons & Dragons. (Era-accurate or otherwise.)
Eric is the obvious DM.
Donna would want to choose a class that lets her use both intelligence and brawn. Maybe a Cleric/Fighter dual class.
Jackie could be a dark horse with her choice.
Kelso might choose Paladin but end up falling because he's Kelso; that lawful good alignment would do him in; he's far better off being a class that lets him be chaotic-X.
Hyde is definitely a rogue thief. Specialized in being sneaky
Fez would be a bard who can fight.
Or the author could mix it up as long as it's in-character.
Fic authors, self-rec! When you get this ask, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written; then pass this ask on to at least five other writers. Let's spread the self-love! 🩷
Thanks for the ask @those70scomics @queenbookbuff I think you sent me the same thing on my main blog too. Thank you!
Something Wonderful Happens In Summer -It’s summer of 1977, there’s a heatwave in Point Place, and Red’s corvette is in need of a wash. Pure summer fluff, please be kind. (I love this fic, it's a fluffy summer read!)
You'll Never Know - It's been years since Red fought in a war but the harsh memories still manage to find their way into his dreams, luckily he's always had Kitty there to help him deal with the nightmares. (More of a hurt/comfort fic with some fluff)
Smile for Me - A cute fluffy glance at Red and Kitty as grandparents. (written before That '90s Show in fact it has a special place in my heart because it was the last fic I wrote/posted before the news of the show came out. I was feeling a little bitter about not getting to see Red and Kitty as grandparents (look at the tags lol) and then one month later my wish came true!)
One Flew Next-Door to the Nest- Years after the '70s, empty-nesters Red and Kitty get some new neighbors who are not so new. Can you guess who the 'new' neighbors are? Find out in this oneshot! (Written way before talks of That '90s Show)
And of course, my current WIP baby:
Strangers in the Night- (I am having such fun writing the next chapter!)
After suffering the loss of each their spouses, neighbors Red Forman and Kitty Halpert come up with a sleeping arrangement so that neither one of them have to face a lonely night in their empty houses again. The arrangement causes quite a buzz in their small town as well as within their families.
Red’s daughter Jackie claims she’s never seen him happier. However, Kitty’s son, Eric who is going through his own marital troubles, does not like or trust Red because of Red’s darker past. And though Red gets the approval of Eric’s son, as well as Eric’s best friend and Kitty’s adopted son Steven Hyde, Eric’s dislike for Red does anything but lessen.
Still Red and Kitty continue to spend their nights-and their days-together, and as they learn more about each other their bond grows stronger. Could an unconventional sleep arrangement lead the way to a second chance at love?
I was curious how you have seen the show already?
Good questions, especially for those of you that are either new to following the page or new to joining the fandom.
First off to clear any confusion I am the same person who runs the Red/Kitty Tumblr blog @that70sshowgoldencouple and write fanfic under the name nannygirl. I created this blog to create a space that could focus more on That '90s Show. Mostly Red and Kitty but the new characters as well too.
Now going back to your question: I was curious how you have seen the show already?
I actually haven't seen the whole series only a few episodes. I've talked about this before in my main blog, replies, and author's notes to fics, but I attended two tapings of That '90s Show during the summer. They were so much fun, getting to see The Forman House and Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith sharing the stage again as Red and Kitty Forman-was literally a dream come true. The first taping I attended was honestly one of the best nights of my life, second one was also great fun but much busier-almost didn't make it into the audience! Thankfully we did!
So I've seen two full episodes and before filming started for the episode they showed us an edited version of the pilot. It was so much fun, I love watching it two times and can't wait to watch it many more!
Thanks for the question!
Happy Birthday to the talented, smart, and compassionate @queenbookbuff!

Your ability with graphics astound me. I don’t have the eye or the talent for that kind of art. Do you do it professionally? Between your comics and what you post with your stories….. it’s just amazing❤️
Thank you so much! 😊
I’m not a graphic artist. I have an ability to look at a person, place, or thing and certain kinds of art and recreate and modify it -- or come up with something ninety-nine percent original but inspired by what I see -- given I have the right tools.
In the case of the chapter art for Jackie Stargazer, I use my old as hell Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. I’ve experimented with it, and royalty-free stock art, for so long that I can often replicate the look of what graphic artists make with much more sophisticated software (and techniques) than what I have.
The art for Ch. 38, for instance, is practically identical to the poster that inspired it. But I built it myself starting from layer 0. Searched for stock (not to be confused with the movie The Search for Spock) that would give me the desired effects and represent the content of my chapter. Then I wrote original material for the article text (it isn’t nonsense; it’s relevant to the chapter).
Not all of my chapter art is inspired by another person’s work, though. I’ll get an image in my head of how I want it to look, and I do my best to replicate that image.
The ability to replicate what I see artistically is similar to my ability to play music by ear. See this post for more about that. Writing is also similar. I see, hear, and feel the story in my mind, and I use words to recreate it on the page.
Chapter 3 of Star is Up
What Did You Think I Would Say
Trying so hard not to get discouraged....by the response to Star. I'm not saying this so everyone will reblog and tell me nice things. I'm just pouring my heart and soul into this story.
