a smirk settled onto jackson’s features, even more so when he didn’t receive much of an answer. he stepped a little closer, pressing their bodies together. “you... what?”

He supposes he should feel something akin to pride, but instead Hephaustus feels as if he’s being thrown off the edge of Olympus, blindly grasping at clouds and jagged rocks, anything that would pillow his harsh landing.  Zeus had meant it as a reward, a bribe in a sense, giving him the most beautiful being in the world as his wife, the sought out Goddess of love, Aphrodite. The wedding was a blur moving quickly after the vows as Gods patted him on the back getting drunk off Dionysus’ wine, a party that Hephaestus could not bring himself to partake in.

His new bride is in the other room, leaving the God alone to pace, and ace and pace until his knee is screaming and the blacksmith is forced to sit on the edge of the bend calloused hands rubbing the kinks out of his knee. The hell did you get yourself into, he thinks as the door opens. “You . . .” His words falter, compliments don’t pass easy unless it is in praise of metal work, “Lovely?”

Brown eyes flicker over her wound, a cuss quickly leaving her lips as she slips off her belt then crouches down next to her. "This is going to hurt...but I've got to slow the bleeding okay? Just try to stay still."

Her hands carefully looped the belt around her thigh, giving her a slight nod before pulling it as tightly as she could before clipping it. "Alright...alright. We've got to get you up....tell me when you're ready."

     “Very nice!” Steve complimented her Harley costume.

He didn’t have any candy of his own to hand out, seeing as there was a lack of grocery stores in the hospital, but he quickly did a little sketch of Erica-as-Harley using a giant hammer on the Joker.
