Queer Dictionary Update 17/05/25

Major update: added hyperlinks throughout the dictionary, for example if in the definition of a gender term it references "epicinity" and the word is underlined, you can click on "epicinity" and it will take you to that term in the dictionary.

Other things:

Added a handful of new terms throughout

Fixed a few terms with incorrect definitions or flags

Fixed a few grammatical errors

One of the most significant developments in recent years has been the increasing incidence or those who reject their presumed gender. Many do not believe that they belong to the gender to which they were assigned at birth; some decide actively to change it by means of surgery; others defy it by dress and behaviour. Others do not subscribe to the concept of sexual difference in the first place, arguing that time, circumstance and opportunity prevail rather than stereotypes of gender.

I ran a poll a week or two ago about the carrd I’m working on, and the majority of people said they wanted to see it!

Updates as I add things will be posted on this blog under the tag #queer dictionary (feel free to block that tag if you’re not interested)

You can submit any suggestions/glitches/errors through this blog’s ask box as well!

Everything under the sexuality tab (juvelic orientations, multisexual spectrum, monosexual spectrum, asexual/aromantic spectrum, and miscellaneous sexualities)

The binary section and non-binary sections under the gender tab

I plan on working on the fluid gender tab next!

I fixed some grammatical errors and broken links, corrected any mislabeled flags, and made some formatting changes to make it more coherent!

I think that I am completely finished with the carrd for now!

Specific things I’ve added:

Pronoun section

- Exipronouns

- Neopronouns

- Nounself pronouns

- Emojiself pronouns

Attraction section

- Rose attraction

- Tertiary/non-rose attraction

- Misc stuff & labels

Queer Dictionary Update 18/01/24

I completely finished the gender section of the carrd, for now!

Specific things I added:

Neurogender section

Brief xenogender section

Miscellaneous genders + terminology

I also moved some stuff around so most gender/sexuality subcategories have the main definition on the main page—for example, the a-spec subcategory has the asexual & aromantic definitions on the same page as the further subcategories.

Queer Dictionary Update

Things I have worked on/added since the last post:

Combined the fluid and fluctuating gender tabs into one tab

Completed the entire fluid/flux tab (includes fluid genders, fluctuating genders, fluidflux genders, and the genderfluid fragment gender system)

Reworked/changed the layout of the non-binary gender section
