Term: Queer-sexual (subterm: queer-romantic)
Meaning: Being attracted to someone in a strictly queer way, typically used by genderfluid and/or genderqueer people. This could fall under the bisexual umbrella but none of their relationships, regardless of gender, will be straight.
(People who say “I want to date a guy but in a mlm way and date a girl in a wlw way” would fall under this term)
Clarifying, this is not a fetishizer friendly term, it’s a term for people who feel being considered ‘straight’ would disregard their gender identity.
The darker colored flag is queer-sexual and the pastel colored flag is queer-romantic. The acacia branches symbolize “immortality of the soul” and in this context means forever being who you are, no matter what, aka queer. The jasmine flower on the queer-sexual symbolizes love and sensuality and the snow drops symbolizes innocent love.
Queer-sexual: Orange-pink for lesbian, pink for female leaning, grey for the opposite of black and white aka the opposite of straight, blue for male leaning, and green-teal for gay.
Queer-romantic: Orange-pink for lesbian, light purple for men and women, light yellow for loving outside of the binary, light grey for the opposite of black and white, light teal-green for gay.
The differences in colors were something I put a lot of work into, I wanted there to be a clear difference but I also didn’t want it to look like either is lacking compared to the other, both are so similar and yet so different, they’re their own distinct thing.
