Sorry for the lack of news on this Tumblr, folks ! I was busy with IRL work which had left little free time to make progress on personal artwork and fanarts U_U/ But now that my contract ended a week ago, I'm back with new drawings and some good news to announce !

This piece is very important for me because I started to fall in love with the Alien franchise when I was a teen✨ I adored to imagining stories featuring xenomorph hybrids, half human-half xeno (and I still do ! ) but when I was 18 I struggled to draw and color as accurately as possible what was cooking in my brain. And now I finally can ✨💖It's with great joy that I share these with you 🌻🧚‍♂️🪄Hope you love these two xenos gals in love 💖👽

I rewatched The Truman Show for the first time in ages tonight and immediately thought about comparing it to the Matrix, from a trans allegory perspective. A cursory seach turned up a lot of people comparing the two films, but not through a trans lens.

The major difference is, I think, in how ok the character is with their original situation. Iirc, in The Matrix, we meet Neo already looking for answers as to why the world Feels Wrong, whereas Truman is happy to go along with things until the world starts showing its seams around him. Neo is depressed; Truman is happy-go-lucky in an uncanny, performative way.

And both of those are DEFINITELY trans experiences - lots of us go through both of those at various points. At the core, we have to reject the simplified, binary worldview to embrace the wider, complicated, often more dangerous reality.

Anyways, I love being trans and thinking trans thoughts.
