I’m over half way through reading the Star Trek novel ‘The Price of The Phoenix’ and GIRL this shit is GAY! I’m absolutely loving it and I’m sorry, but I CANNOT help but read it as if it’s a romance story between Spock and Kirk, because IT IS, honestly.

When I finish reading it, which should be soon, I 100% plan to post about some of my favorite and gayest moments between Spock and Kirk in it and talk about them. There’s some very intimate moments between them and the language used in the story is very romantic.

If you were to change the names of the characters and just show it to someone with no context they would think it was a romance novel between two men.

I’m very excited to finish the book and to give my two cents on the relationship Spock and Kirk share in this novel!

Safety and escape is offered just a little to the right yet each time without fail the choice is made to look at the shadows, curious and wanting more at the risk of danger deeper within. There is just so much restraint and longing in these renders. To know there is something nicer and still stand with your back to it. To prefer the dark, to risk getting lost just for the sake of it.

To know there is something worth loving more than the absolute.

straight people don’t understand/pick up on queer subtext for the same reason i’m totally lost when I’m reading pride and prejudice for school (i cant see the main love story line through a straight pov)
