Book Announcement for July's Book Club!
The votes are in, and for July we'll be reading...... 🥁🥁🥁
If I may be so bold as to cross the brands again for a moment, I must announce that THERE IS A QUEER BOOK CLUB STARTING IN RALEIGH, NC and yes I do need to shout because it's really cool and gods know we could really use SOMETHING cool right now.
If you are queer and you like books and you live near Raleigh, then you should come drink iced coffee (optional) and be weird and gay and talk about books with us.
The first meeting is on July 29 at 6:30pm and we're reading Only a Chapter by Heather Tracy. This one is extra cool because the author is also local and she's coming to join us so it's both a book club AND a meet-the-author event, so basically like the best possible combination of things. Also if you live in Raleigh and you've never been to Little Blue Bakehouse, you are seriously missing out and you should go there and eat pastries, especially on July 29 at 6:30pm, and ideally (but not mandatorily, you can wing it, we won't judge) after reading Only a Chapter by Heather Tracy.
Tagging @raleigh-nc-official-totally-real cause I gotta and also @queerliblib because y'all have been a huge help in finding books to put on the docket for future months and we definitely plan on referring our members to you and kicking donations your way.
Welcome to Queerolina! 🌈
Founded in November of 2024, our mission is to uplift queer voices throughout the Carolinas through events, storytelling, and community connection. From drag shows to book clubs, from our magazine to our podcast, Queerolina is here to celebrate you.
Right now, it’s more important than ever to document that we are here. That we are thriving, creating, and existing. No matter how “normal” you think your life is, your story matters. You never know what piece of your journey might inspire someone else to stay here with us.
We want everyone’s voice. Your poetry, your business, your art, your words. They all belong here.
If you have any questions, reach out! We'd love to hear from you. 🏳️🌈
