Seven word processors for the 8-bit Atari computers provided the cover story in this issue. The problems of having to write using forty columns on screen in a world where the usual printed page spanned eighty columns were promised to be solved quite soon with an official Atari hardware add-on. David Wade, "author of 15 published novels" (under pen names "from 'Diane Hunter' to "Alan Bomack'"), offered his own word processing workflow. Another article described Atari's own BBS, which ran using five 520STs, each using its own modem and hard drive, and handled nearly 350 calls every day.
