Mercury Retrograde August 13- September 5, 2017.
Mercury rules communication, technology, contracts, truth and travel. This event is know for when Mercury emits vibrations that can cause a spur of change or effect ones deeper/inner knowing. They say the planet goes retrograde, because it appears as if it’s going backwards in the sky. During this time, astrologers see this as a “trouble maker planet.”
The funny thing about this phenomenon is that, yes it does, affect everyone. Around this time you will see the life of yours and others take a surprise turn. This is absolutely not the time to start a new job, travel, close on a contract, interventions, etc. This is an event that truly messes with everyone.
Be cautious about how you take news that others give you( and how you say things to them), maybe think twice about going a great distance from home. Ideally, this is not the time to start anything new.

Well this is going to be an interesting one. Mercury is about to retrograde back into Leo. This is going to go right into the star on the lion’s back, Zosma. What will this bring? Lying, jealousy, nasty words, scandal and deceit. Mercury is in opposite of Neptune right now which will reinforce all of these horrible things.
The Mercury and Venus sextile will help aid this. With these two in sextile, words of caring and compromise will emerge. However it doesn't mean this will be enough.
Venus is also at trine with Neptune, allowing compassion, empathy and forgiveness. This will also be on your side.
Overall, for those of us who are in relationships, this may be a rocky time. Secrets of betrayal, backstabbing and cheating will be coming out. Even with the Mercury/Venus sextile and the Neptune/Venus trine, this still may not be enough. You will have to open a whole new perspective to open communication, empathy and forgiveness to make it through this retrograde.
