Rust & Gold
The morning sun over Sector 1 was usually a promise of order—a clean, golden light that illuminated the perfect geometry of the Spire. But today, the light felt feverish.
It started with the pills. Breakfast had been the usual affair: Jay silent and commanding at the head of the table, checking market fluctuations on his holographic interface, while you and Jake sat opposite each other. But there was a new addition to your plate. Alongside the mountain of scrambled eggs and avocado Jay insisted you consume, there was a small crystal dish containing three pills. Two were the standard prenatal vitamins—large, chalky things that smelled of iron. But the third one was new. It was a small, translucent blue gel-cap that seemed to glow under the chandelier.
"The booster," Jay had said, not looking up from his news feed. "Take it with the orange juice. It aids absorption."
You had hesitated. "What does it do?"
"It prepares the terrain," Jay answered vaguely. "It creates a chemical environment conducive to receptivity. Both physical and... psychological."
You took it. You didn't have a choice.Within an hour, you understood what "receptivity" meant. It wasn't a subtle shift. It was a tidal wave. A low, thrumming heat started in your belly and spread outward, dissolving the tension in your muscles, softening your joints, and turning your blood into something akin to warm syrup. Your skin felt hypersensitive. The friction of your own clothes—the soft cotton shorts and t-shirt you wore—felt like sandpaper one minute and silk the next.
Jay left for the Defense Ministry at 08:00 sharp. He kissed Jake—a hard, possessive press of lips—and then stopped by your chair. He gripped your chin, tilting your face up to inspect your dilated pupils.
"Good," Jay murmured, seeing the drugs taking hold. "The doctor said the peak would hit by mid-morning. Jake will monitor you." He left, the heavy door sealing shut behind him.And then there was Jake.Jake, who had watched you swallow the pill with eyes that were dark and hungry. Jake, who usually spent his mornings bouncing off the walls with energy, but today seemed anchored by a different kind of gravity. He was wearing sweatpants again—low-slung, grey, dangerous—and a tight white t-shirt. He circled you in the kitchen as you drank water, his presence oppressive in its neediness. He touched you constantly. A hand on your lower back. Fingers brushing your arm. A thumb tracing the line of your jaw.
"You're warm," Jake whispered, trapping you against the counter. "You're so warm."
"It's the pills," you gasped, your breath hitching. "I feel... dizzy."
"Come to the living room," Jake said. "Let's sit down."He led you to the massive white sectional sofa that overlooked the city. But you didn't sit next to him. The chemical fire in your veins wouldn't allow distance. The craving for touch, for pressure, for something to alleviate the ache between your legs was overwhelming. And Jake... Jake was starving. He had spent ten years with Jay. Ten years of hard angles, muscle against muscle, the friction of two men clashing. He loved it. He craved it. But last night—watching you on your knees, tasting you, feeling the softness of your body against his on the terrace—had unlocked a door he didn't know existed. He wasn't just curious anymore. He was obsessed. He sat down, spreading his legs wide, and pulled you onto him. Now, an hour later, the living room was filled with the sound of wet, ragged breathing and the slick noise of friction.
You were straddling him. Your cotton shorts were gone, kicked somewhere onto the pristine carpet. Your panties were soaked through, clinging to you uselessly, so you had pulled them aside, leaving you bare. You were grinding against him.
It was a maddening, intoxicating rhythm. Jake hadn't taken his sweatpants off. He liked the barrier. He liked the texture. He was fully hard underneath the grey fabric, a thick, hot ridge of steel that you were riding with desperate need.
"Oh, god," you moaned, throwing your head back as you rubbed your clit against the rough seam of his sweatpants. "Jake..."
"That's it," Jake panted, his hands gripping your hips, his thumbs digging into your flesh to bruise. "Grind on it. Use me."This wasn't the survival sex of Sector 7.Down in the Rust Belt, sex was a currency or a sedative. You did it to pay a debt, to get an extra ration card, or just to feel something other than the cold for ten minutes. It was fast, often rough, and usually ended with you staring at a cracked ceiling waiting for the man to finish so you could sleep. It was friction without feeling.This... this was sensory overload.
The hormones flooding your system made everything intense. The sunlight streaming through the windows felt like a spotlight. The smell of Jake—vanilla, sweat, and arousal—was drugging. And the sensation of his cock beneath the fabric, hard and leaking, was driving you out of your mind.
"You're so wet," Jake groaned, looking down at where your bodies connected. The grey fabric of his sweatpants was dark with your fluids. You were soaking him. Every time you rolled your hips, sliding your wet heat along his length, he let out a strangled noise that vibrated in his chest against your breasts.
"I need..." you whimpered, not even sure what you needed anymore. You just needed the ache to stop."I know," Jake whispered. "I know what you need. But not yet. Jay said we have to wait for the window. No penetration until tonight."
He bucked his hips up, a sharp, hard thrust that didn't enter you but hit your clit with devastating precision.
"So we improvise," Jake grinned, a wicked, sweaty expression.
He loved this. You realized it through the haze of lust. He loved the humping. He loved the friction. It drew out the pleasure, prolonging the edge, making it an agonizing, delicious torture. It was different from the efficient pounding Jay gave.Jake wanted to wallow in it.He reached up, grabbing your breasts through your t-shirt. He squeezed hard, his fingers kneading the flesh.
"You're getting heavier," Jake noted, his voice thick. "The hormones. They're making you ready for us."
"Shut up," you gasped, grinding harder. "Just... move."He laughed, breathless. "You're so bossy when you're horny. I love it."He sat up slightly, bringing his face close to yours. He kissed you, messy and wet, his tongue tangling with yours. He tasted like coffee and desire.
As he kissed you, he adjusted his hips. He positioned himself so that the head of his cock—still trapped behind the layers of his underwear and sweatpants—pressed right against your entrance. It was a tease. A cruel, perfect tease.
You pushed back, trying to impale yourself on him, but the fabric held. The pressure was immense."Please," you begged against his mouth. "Jake, take it out. Please."
"Can't," he mumbled, biting your lower lip. "Rules are rules. Besides..."
He pulled back to look at you. His eyes were blown wide, fascinated by your desperation."I like this better," he admitted. "I like feeling you coat me. I like knowing that I'm ruining your mind without even inside."He was right. He wasn't touching you directly intimately, but he was everywhere. His hands were on your ass now, spreading your cheeks, pulling you wider so you could rub deeper against his thigh and his cock."You never had this in the slums, did you?" Jake asked, his voice low and taunting. "Did the Scrappers make you feel like this? Did they make you beg?"
"No," you sobbed, the pleasure building in your belly like a coiled spring.
"Good," Jake growled. "Because you're not theirs anymore. You're mine. You're ours."
He began to move his hips in a circle. It was a slow, grinding motion that massaged your clit and your opening simultaneously. You cried out, your nails digging into his shoulders."That's it," Jake encouraged. "Come on. Show me how wet you can get. I want to feel it running down my leg."It was humiliating. It was degrading. And it was the hottest thing you had ever felt. The pills were doing their job. Your inhibitions were dissolved. The part of your brain that hated them, that planned escapes and resented their wealth, was silenced by the roaring need in your blood. You picked up the pace. You abandoned all rhythm, just seeking friction. You bounced on him, rubbed against him, chased the release that hovered just out of reach.Jake groaned, his head falling back against the cushions."Fuck, [Y/N]," he hissed. "You feel so good. You're so soft."
He reached down between your bodies. His hand slid between your wet folds and his soaked pants. He found your clit with his thumb.
"Let go," Jake ordered.
He pressed down, adding the final point of pressure you needed.
You shattered. It wasn't a slow build. It was an explosion. Your body seized, your back arching violently. You screamed, the sound echoing off the glass walls of the penthouse. You clamped your thighs around his waist, riding out the waves of pleasure that ripped through you. You pulsed against his hand, against his cock, soaking him completely.Jake watched you. He watched your face contort, watched your eyes roll back. He looked like he was witnessing a miracle.
"Beautiful," he whispered. He didn't stop moving. He kept grinding up into you, using your climax to fuel his own.He was close. You could tell by the way his breathing hitched, the way his entire body went rigid beneath you.
"Don't move," he gasped. "Just... stay there."
He drove his hips up hard, pinning you against his hand. He groaned, a long, broken sound, as he spilled into his pants. He came hard, his body jerking with the force of it.You felt the warmth of his release seeping through the fabric, mixing with your own wetness. It was messy. It was intimate in a way that felt almost more binding than actual intercourse. You collapsed forward, your chest heaving against his. You were slick with sweat, your hair sticking to your face.
For a long time, there was only silence in the room, broken by the sound of the air conditioning and your synchronized breathing.Jake wrapped his arms around you, holding you tight. He buried his face in your neck, inhaling deeply."Wow," he breathed. You were too exhausted to speak. You just lay there, draped over him like a ragdoll. The high from the pills was starting to level out, leaving you feeling floaty and boneless.Jake shifted slightly, wincing."We made a mess," he chuckled, sounding incredibly pleased with himself. You lifted your head weakly. You looked down. His grey sweatpants were dark with fluid—yours and his. Your thighs were slick. The expensive white couch probably had a wet spot."Jay is going to kill us," you whispered.Jake laughed, kissing your nose. "Jay is going to be jealous he missed it."
He reached up and smoothed your hair back. His expression shifted, becoming softer, more akin to the Jake who fed the ducks.
"You okay?" he asked. "The pills... they can be intense."
"I feel... fuzzy," you admitted.
"That's the point," Jake said. "It helps you accept the process. It stops you from fighting."
He shifted his hips, rubbing his still-sensitive cock against you one last time.
"I really like this," Jake murmured, his eyes searching yours. "With you. It's different than with Jay. With him, it's... war. It's power. But you..." He traced your lip with his thumb.
"You're soft," he said. "Even when you're desperate. It makes me want to take care of you. It makes me want to keep you right here, on my lap, forever." You looked at him. In the haze of the drugs, his possessiveness didn't feel like a cage. It felt like a blanket.
"I'm thirsty," you whispered.
"I'll get you water," Jake said immediately. But he didn't let you go. He stood up, lifting you with him. Your legs wrapped automatically around his waist, your arms around his neck. He carried you to the kitchen, you clinging to him like a koala, bare-bottomed and wrecked. He set you on the counter—the same counter where you had stolen the water that started all of this.He poured a glass of cold water and held it to your lips.
"Drink," he said gently. You drank. He watched you, his eyes tracking the movement of your throat.
"Better?" he asked.
"Yeah."
He stepped between your legs, leaning his forehead against yours.
"We have six hours until Jay gets home," Jake whispered. "And you're going to need another dose of those pills at 14:00."He grinned, that mischievous, boyish spark returning to his eyes."That means we have time for round two. And this time, I want to try it in the shower."You groaned, dropping your head to his shoulder. "Jake... I'm tired."
"I'll do all the work," he promised, picking you up again. "You just have to hold on."
As he carried you toward the stairs, you realized with a sinking feeling that he was right. You couldn't fight this. The pills, the pleasure, the sheer relentless affection of Jake Sim—it was eroding your walls faster than Jay’s threats ever could. You were being consumed, bite by bite, and the terrifying part was that your body was starting to enjoy the taste.
The master bedroom was cool, the air conditioning humming a low, expensive note, but the heat radiating off Jake was enough to warm the entire floor. He carried you through the door, kicking it shut with his heel. He didn't take you to the bed immediately. He stopped in the center of the room, letting your legs slide down his waist until your feet touched the thick carpet."Clothes," Jake murmured, his hands already busy. "They're in the way."He was right. Your t-shirt was damp with sweat and the mess from the living room. His sweatpants were ruined. He didn't wait for permission. He grabbed the hem of your t-shirt and pulled it over your head in one smooth motion, tossing it carelessly onto the floor. It landed in a heap near the foot of the bed. You stood there, naked except for the socks you were still wearing, shivering slightly as the cool air hit your flushed skin.Jake stripped with frantic efficiency. He yanked his t-shirt off, revealing a chest that was defined and golden, muscles shifting under smooth skin. He shoved his sweatpants and boxer briefs down in one go, stepping out of them and kicking them away to join your shirt.
Now, you were both bare.He looked at you. His eyes traveled over your body, taking in the curves, the dip of your waist, the swell of your hips. He looked at the slickness on your thighs, the evidence of your need."Beautiful," he breathed. He scooped you up again, skin against skin now, warm and electric. He carried you into the bathroom. The master bathroom was less a room and more a temple dedicated to water. The walls were lined with dark, heated slate. The shower enclosure wasn't a stall; it was an open wet room large enough to park a small hover-car in. Steam was already rising, thick and heavy, curling around the multiple showerheads protruding from the ceiling and walls.Jake walked right in, not putting you down until you were directly under the central rainfall head.
He reached out and slapped the control panel. The water hit you instantly—hot, heavy drops that drummed against your skin, washing away the sticky residue of the living room couch. It felt incredible. The heat seeped into your muscles, which were still trembling from the overdose of pleasure and hormones.Jake stepped in behind you.He pressed his body flush against your back. There was no fabric to blunt the sensation this time. It was just him—his broad, wet chest pressing into your shoulder blades, his flat stomach against your lower back, his thighs bracketing yours. And his cock.He was fully hard, a thick, demanding rod of steel pressing right into the curve of your buttocks.
"Hands on the wall," Jake murmured, his voice husky over the roar of the water. "Lean forward."You obeyed. The hormones made obedience feel like relief. You placed your palms flat against the dark slate. It was slick with condensation. You leaned forward, arching your back, bracing yourself.Jake moved closer, eliminating the last millimeter of space. He didn't penetrate you. He adhered to the rule Jay had set with maddening discipline. But this... this felt almost more intimate. He slid his cock between your legs.
"Oh," you gasped, the sound echoing off the stone. The water acted as a lubricant, making everything slippery and fluid. His hard length slotted perfectly into the cleft of your sex, gliding over your wetness. The head of his cock rubbed directly against your clit, slick with water and your own renewed desire.
"That's it," Jake groaned, his hands coming up to grip your hips, his thumbs digging into the soft flesh to hold you steady. "Just like that."
He began to move.
It was a slow, grinding rhythm. He rolled his hips, dragging his shaft up and down your slippery folds. The friction was exquisite. Every pass was a tease, a promise of the fullness you were craving but couldn't have yet. The contrast between the hot water cascading down your back and the hard, unrelenting pressure of him was dizzying."You feel so good," Jake whispered, lowering his head to kiss the sensitive cord of your neck. Water dripped from his wet hair onto your skin. "So soft. So wet.
Nothing between us."He bit your earlobe gently, sending a shock of electricity down your spine that made your knees buckle.
You whimpered, pushing back against him, seeking more friction. You wanted him to break the rule. You wanted him to shove inside and fill the empty ache the pills had carved out in your belly."Please," you begged, your forehead resting against the wet tile, water streaming over your face. "Jake... put it in."
"Can't," he soothed, his voice strained. His hands slid from your hips to your waist, then up to cup your breasts. He squeezed the water-slicked flesh, his thumbs brushing over your hardened nipples, tweaking them. "Jay wants you tight for tonight. We have to save the best part. But I can give you this."He increased the pace. His hips snapped forward, the length of him slapping against your pussy lips, rubbing the bundle of nerves at your entrance with maddening precision.
The sensation was blinding. The hot water, the steam, the heavy weight of him pinning you to the wall—it was sensory overload.
"I'm close," you cried out, your legs shaking violently. "Jake, I'm close again."
"Go," he commanded, his breath hot against your ear. "Come for me, baby. Do it."
He ground down hard, hitting your clit with the base of his shaft, holding the pressure there. You shattered. It was the second time in an hour, and it was just as violent as the first. Your knees gave out, and if Jake hadn't been holding you up, his arm wrapping around your waist to pin you to him, you would have collapsed onto the tile. You cried out, a broken, high-pitched sound that was lost in the steam. Your inner muscles clenched, pulsing around nothing, desperate to grab onto him.Jake groaned, feeling your tremors against his body."Beautiful," he praised, kissing your wet shoulder. "Look at you. Falling apart in my hands."
He didn't stop. He kept moving, riding the wave of your orgasm, using your sensitivity against you.He rubbed faster, harder, the slick sounds of skin on wet skin echoing in the large shower."Again," Jake growled."I can't," you sobbed, overstimulated, your head spinning. "I can't."
"You can," he insisted. "The pills... they make you greedy. I know you can feel it. You want it."He was right. The chemical fire in your blood hadn't burned out; it had just flared higher. As soon as the first peak subsided, the tension began to coil again, tighter and faster than before. The hormones were relentless. He moved his hand down, his fingers finding your clit, adding pressure to the friction of his cock sliding between your legs."Oh god!" you screamed. The second orgasm hit you like a freight train barely minutes after the first. It was a white-hot spike of pleasure that made your vision spot. You clawed at the slate wall, your nails scrabbling for purchase on the wet stone. You were sobbing now, completely undone, a mess of hormones and pleasure and water.Jake couldn't hold back anymore.
The sight of you unraveling, the feel of your ass bouncing against his thighs, the slick, wet heat of your pussy rubbing against him—it broke his control."Fuck," he shouted. He drove his hips against you in a frantic, staccato rhythm. He rubbed his cock furiously between your legs, the head sliding over your entrance, over your clit, coating himself in your fluids. He tensed. His grip on your waist turned bruising.
"Taking it," he groaned. "I'm taking it."With a guttural roar, he spilled. He came violently, spurting hot semen all over your pussy lips, your thighs, mixing with the shower water swirling down your legs. He pressed his forehead against the back of your shoulder, panting, his body jerking with the force of his release. For a long time, there was only the sound of the water falling and the harsh sound of your combined breathing.
You hung there, supported entirely by him and the wall. You felt raw. Hollowed out.
Slowly, Jake’s breathing evened out. He kissed your shoulder, then your neck, licking a drop of water from your skin."Okay," he whispered, his voice breathless and light again. "Okay. We're good."He pulled back, steadying you as your legs wobbled. He reached for the soap."Let's get you clean," he said softly. The shift from lover to caretaker was seamless. He lathered a sponge with the cedar-scented body wash—Jay’s wash. He washed you gently, his hands moving over your trembling limbs with reverence. He washed the semen and sweat from your thighs. He washed your back. He even knelt down to wash your feet.It was intimate. It was confusing. It made you want to cry again, but you didn't have the energy. When he turned the water off, the sudden silence was deafening. He wrapped you in a massive, fluffy towel that felt like a warm hug. He dried your hair, rubbing it briskly but gently.
He led you out of the bathroom and back into the cool, dim bedroom. The pile of your discarded clothes was still on the floor, a stark reminder of how frantic you had been.He walked to the closet, naked and unashamed, and pulled out one of his own shirts. It was a soft, worn black cotton tee."Arms up," he said. You lifted your arms like a child. He pulled the shirt over your head. It fell to your mid-thighs, swallowing you. It smelled like him—clean laundry and that underlying scent of vanilla.
"Perfect," Jake smiled, running his hands down your arms.He guided you to the bed. You crawled in, burying yourself in the duvet. The sheets were cool and crisp against your heated skin."Stay," Jake said. "I'll be right back."He disappeared into the hallway. You lay there, staring at the ceiling. Your body felt heavy, anchored to the mattress by gravity and exhaustion. The fight was gone. The runner was gone. There was only this—the bed, the scent of him, and the lingering heat in your blood.Jake returned a moment later. He carried a glass of water and a small crystal dish.He sat on the edge of the bed."14:00," he said softly. "Second dose."
In the dish was another blue gel-cap.You looked at it. You knew what it did now. You knew it turned you into a needy, desperate creature. You knew it stripped away your defenses. But you also knew that fighting was pointless. And part of you—the part that was scared of the pain, scared of the reality of your situation—wanted the fuzziness. Wanted the haze.
You sat up and took the pill. You swallowed it with the water."Good girl," Jake murmured. He set the glass down. He didn't put on clothes. He climbed into the bed beside you, skin to skin under the duvet. He pulled you into him. You went willingly, curling into his side, resting your head on his bare chest. He wrapped his arms around you, tangling his legs with yours."Sleep," Jake whispered, his hand stroking your back in a slow, rhythmic motion. "Jay won't be home for hours. You need to recharge."You closed your eyes. The second pill was already starting to dissolve, sending a fresh wave of warmth through your veins to replace what you had just spent.Jake watched you as your breathing deepened. He looked at your face, relaxed in sleep, the tension finally smoothed away from your brow. You looked soft. Pliable. Cute. But he remembered the fire in your eyes when you defied Jay at the table. He remembered the grit it took to jump down a laundry chute.
He liked the soft version, the one who melted in his hands and waved at ducks. But he liked the other one too. The snappy, dangerous one. The one who made Jay lose control. The one who made him chase her."You're going to be trouble," Jake whispered into your hair, a smile playing on his lips. "And I think I love it."He tightened his hold on you, possessive and satisfied. The adrenaline from the sex was slowly fading, replaced by a heavy, contented drowsiness. He closed his eyes, listening to your heartbeat sync with his, and let the darkness take him too.
The nap hadn't been restful; it had been a fever dream induced by the chemical cocktail coursing through your veins. You woke up in the darkened master bedroom, tangled in high-thread-count sheets that smelled of cedar and the lingering scent of Jake. The air conditioning hummed its low, expensive lullaby, but you felt like you were burning up from the inside out.You sat up, pushing the heavy duvet away. Your head felt fuzzy, packed with cotton wool. A strange, heavy heat pooled low in your belly, pulsing in time with your heartbeat. You shifted your legs, and the sensation of wetness against your thighs made you gasp.It felt like you had wet yourself, but the slick, viscous texture was unmistakable. You had soaked through your panties in your sleep. Or rather, you would have, if you were wearing any.You were still just in Jake’s oversized black t-shirt.You stood up, your legs wobbling slightly. You felt heavy. Not the lethargic heaviness of depression, but a dense, physical gravity. Your breasts felt swollen, sensitive against the cotton fabric. Your skin felt too tight for your body.
"Citizen," the room’s AI voice spoke, softer than usual, detecting your waking state. "It is 19:30. Dinner has been served in the main dining hall. Mr. Park requests your presence immediately upon waking."Your stomach let out a loud, demanding growl that actually hurt. The hunger hit you like a punch to the gut. It wasn't the dull, nagging ache of Sector 7 starvation. This was a voracious, clawing need. It was the pills. The hormones Dr. Vance had prescribed, mixed with the booster Jay had given you, were rewriting your metabolic code. You weren't just eating for one anymore; you were eating to build a nest inside your own body.
"Okay," you whispered, rubbing your face. "Okay. Food." You didn't bother checking a mirror. You didn't bother looking for pants. The idea of constricting fabric around your waist made you nauseous. Jake’s shirt came down to your mid-thighs. It was enough.
You walked out of the room and down the floating staircase. The marble was cool under your feet, a brief respite from the internal fire. When you entered the dining room, the scene was familiar, yet the energy had shifted.Jay and Jake were there. Jake was dressed in fresh lounge clothes, looking relaxed and happy. Jay was still in his trousers and a fresh white shirt, looking like the master of the domain.
They looked up as you entered.Jake beamed. "There's the sleepyhead. Have a good nap?" Jay didn't speak. His eyes locked onto you instantly. He took in the messy hair, the sleep-swollen lips, and the way Jake’s black t-shirt hung off your frame, hinting at the curves underneath without revealing them.He nodded at your chair. You didn't wait for the command. The smell of roasted chicken and rosemary hit your nose, and your mouth watered so hard it stung. You practically fell into your chair. You grabbed the serving spoon and piled your plate high—chicken, roasted root vegetables, heavy creamed spinach. You ate.You didn't pick at your food like a bird today. You ate with a focused, animalistic intensity. You shoveled forkfuls into your mouth, barely chewing before swallowing. The flavors exploded on your tongue, heightened by the chemical cocktail in your blood.Jake watched you, a mixture of amusement and awe on his face."Wow," he chuckled, leaning back. "Slow down, tiger. No one's gonna take it away."
"Let her eat," Jay said quietly. He was sipping a glass of amber liquid—aged whiskey, neat. He watched your throat work as you swallowed. He looked satisfied. This was what he wanted: a vessel that fueled itself, a body that prioritized survival and growth over vanity.
You finished the first plate and reached for seconds.
But as the hunger began to subside, replaced by a heavy, sated fullness, the other side effect of the pills roared to the forefront. The heat returned.
It started as a tickle in your lower back and spread rapidly to your groin. Your clit felt swollen, throbbing with every beat of your heart. The slickness between your legs, which you had ignored in favor of food, became unignorable.
You shifted in your seat, trying to find a comfortable position. You squeezed your thighs together, trying to apply pressure to the ache.
It didn't help. It just smeared the wetness around, making you more aware of how empty you felt. You squirmed. You crossed your legs, then uncrossed them. You rubbed your lower back against the chair.
Jay noticed immediately. From the corner of his eye, he watched your restlessness. He saw the flush rising on your neck. He saw the way your pupils were blown wide, black holes swallowing the color of your eyes.
He set his whiskey glass down with a precise click. He reached out and swiped his hand through the air, dismissing the holographic news screen he had been half-watching.He turned his full attention to you.He didn't say anything. He just watched. His gaze was physical, a heavy touch that stroked over your skin. He leaned back in his chair, his legs spreading slightly, his hand resting on his thigh.
Jake, tuning into the sudden shift in atmospheric pressure, looked from Jay to you.He saw the fidgeting. He saw the way you were biting your lip.
A slow, knowing grin spread across Jake’s face. He knew that look. He knew that feeling.
"Restless?" Jake teased softly.
"I'm fine," you gasped, grabbing your water glass. Your hand was shaking.
"You don't look fine," Jake hummed. "You look... hot."The air in the room thickened. It became viscous, charged with static. The sexual tension was palpable, a third entity sitting at the table with you.
You took a sip of water, trying to cool down, but your hand jerked as a particularly strong throb of arousal hit you.The glass slipped. It hit the edge of the table and tipped over."Shit!" you hissed, scrambling up as water cascaded toward your lap.The glass rolled off the table.Instinct took over. You moved to catch it before it hit the floor. You bent down.It was a reflex. You hinged at the waist, your legs straight, reaching for the tumbling crystal. In your haste, you forgot what you were wearing. You forgot what you weren't wearing. As you bent over, the hem of Jake’s t-shirt rode up. It hiked high up your thighs, over your hips, and gathered at your lower back.
For three seconds, you were completely exposed to the head of the table.Jay had a front-row seat.He saw the smooth curve of your ass cheeks. He saw the flushed skin of your inner thighs. And, most damning of all, he saw your pussy. It was swollen. It was glistening. A thick sheen of clear fluid coated your folds, dripping down your thigh, proof of exactly how "fine" you weren't. "Fuck," a soft voice breathed.
It was Jay.
The sound froze you. You realized what happened. You snatched the glass—miraculously unbroken—and snapped upright, yanking the hem of the shirt down with frantic hands. You turned to look at him, your heart hammering against your ribs like a trapped bird.Jay hadn't moved. He was still leaning back in his chair. But his eyes...His eyes were gone. They were entirely black, the pupils blown so wide there was no iris left. His face was a mask of dark, violent hunger. His chest rose and fell with a heavy, ragged breath that he was fighting to control. He looked like a wolf that had just seen a lamb present its throat.Beside him, Jake let out a low whistle. "Well. That answers that question." You couldn't move. You stood there, clutching the empty glass, trembling. The sight of Jay looking at you like that—like he wanted to tear you apart and consume you whole—didn't scare you.
It turned you on.The reaction was instantaneous. Your thighs rubbed together involuntarily, slick skin sliding against slick skin. A fresh wave of moisture gushed out of you.Fuck, you thought dizzily. Why does he have to look so hot?
Jay’s eyes tracked the movement of your legs. He saw the tremble.
"Come here," Jay said.
His voice was unrecognizable. It was a growl, stripped of all civilization. You walked toward him. You didn't even think about disobeying. You were drawn to him by a magnetic force that was stronger than your will. You reached his chair.
Jay didn't wait. He reached out, grabbed your waist, and spun you around.
He pulled you down. You landed hard on his lap, your back pressing against his broad, solid chest. "You're leaking," Jay murmured, his mouth right against your ear.He didn't ask. He didn't hesitate. He slid his hand under the hem of the t-shirt and went straight between your legs.
"Jay!" you gasped, your head falling back onto his shoulder. His fingers found your slit instantly. It was soaked.
"Look at this," Jay growled, showing his glistening fingers to Jake. "She's flooding."
He plunged two fingers inside you.
You screamed, a raw sound of pleasure. He was rough. He curled his fingers, hitting that sweet spot deep inside, pumping into you with a relentless rhythm.
"You need this, don't you?" Jay whispered, biting the sensitive cord of your neck. "The pills made you hungry. But not for food."
"Yes," you sobbed, grinding back against his hand. "Yes, please."Jake watched from his seat, mesmerized. He reached down and palmed himself through his pants, his eyes glued to the sight of Jay’s hand disappearing inside you.
Jay’s thumb found your clit. He smacked it—a sharp, stinging flick that made your hips buck wildly."Filthy," Jay praised. "Little slut. Dripping all over my trousers."
He smacked it again. And again.
"More," you begged, your vision blurring.
"Not here," Jay said abruptly. He withdrew his hand. You whined at the loss, empty and aching.Jay stood up, lifting you effortlessly in his arms.
"Bedroom," Jay commanded. The transition from the dining room to the master suite was a blur of motion. Jay didn't put you down. He carried you up the stairs, his grip bruising on your hips, your legs wrapped tightly around his waist.Their room door was already slid open.He threw you down. You bounced on the mattress, scrambling backward until your head hit the pillows. The room was dimly lit, the city lights outside casting long, moving shadows across the duvet.Jay didn't undress fully. He just undid his belt and shoved his trousers and boxers down to his thighs. He was already hard—painfully so. His erection jutted out, dark and thick, leaking precum.
Jake was right behind him. He stripped quickly, discarding his lounge clothes in a pile on the floor, climbing onto the bed with the eagerness of a starving man."Me first," Jay snarled. He grabbed your ankles and dragged you down the bed. He didn't bother with foreplay. He knew you were wet. He knew you were ready. He had felt it on his fingers downstairs. He climbed over you, settling his weight between your legs.
"Open," Jay commanded. You spread your legs wide.He gripped his cock and lined it up. He didn't ease in. He drove forward with one powerful thrust.
"Oh god!" you screamed, your back arching off the mattress.
He filled you completely. He was so big, stretching you to your limit, hitting deep inside where the ache was centered. It was a feeling of absolute fullness.Jay groaned, a guttural sound of possession. He grabbed your hips, pinning you to the bed, and began to piston into you.It wasn't complicated. It was missionary, primal and efficient. He slammed into you, over and over, his rhythm punishing and perfect.
"Take it," Jay growled, looking down at you. "Take my cock."
Jake crawled up the bed beside you. He leaned over, capturing your lips in a deep, bruising kiss, swallowing your cries. You were surrounded—Jay claiming your body from above , Jake claiming your breath from your lips.Jay reached down and grabbed Jake’s hair, pulling his head back.
"Kiss me," Jay ordered.Jake turned, and Jay leaned down. They kissed deeply, hungrily, their tongues battling while Jay continued to thrust into you.
Watching them—seeing the raw passion between the two men who owned you while one of them used your body—sent you over the edge. "I'm cumming!" you wailed.
Jay broke the kiss. "Not yet." He didn't stop. He pounded harder, faster. He wanted to make sure he was deep inside when he let go.
"Now," Jay roared. He buried himself to the hilt and held it there. You felt him pulse. You felt the hot, thick spurts of semen flooding your womb, filling you up.
You climaxed around him, your muscles clamping down on his shaft, milking him dry.Jay collapsed on top of you, breathing heavily, his weight crushing you into the mattress. He stayed there for a long time, ensuring every drop was deposited exactly where it needed to be.When he finally pulled out, a gush of fluids leaked onto the sheets."Jake," Jay murmured, rolling off you. "Your turn."You were barely recovering, your chest heaving, your vision spotting.Jake didn't wait. He moved between your legs, his eyes dark with arousal. He looked at the mess Jay had made of you—the flushed skin, the swollen lips, the seed leaking from your entrance—and it seemed to drive him crazy."You look so good," Jake whispered. He lifted your legs, hooking them over his shoulders. He slid inside. It felt different than Jay. Where Jay was thick and demanding, Jake was smooth and relentless. He hit a different spot, rubbing against the sensitive upper wall of your canal."So wet," Jake moaned. "You're so slippery."He began to fuck you. He wasn't as rough as Jay, but he was just as determined. He held your hands, interlacing his fingers with yours, pinning your arms above your head.Jay moved to the side of the bed. He watched. He reached out, his hand wrapping around the back of Jake’s neck, pulling him down for a kiss while Jake thrust into you.You watched them kiss again, the sound of their lips meeting mixing with the wet slap of skin on skin.
Jay pulled back. "Suck me," he ordered Jake.Jake didn't stop moving inside you. He leaned to the side, taking Jay’s semi-soft cock into his mouth. He licked and sucked, reviving him, while still pounding into you.It was too much. Your brain was melting. The hormones were screaming."Jake, please," you begged. "Please."
"Almost there," Jake panted, releasing Jay to look down at you. "I'm going to fill you up too. Double dose."He let go of your hands and grabbed your waist. He snapped his hips, driving deep.
"Yes," Jay encouraged from the side, stroking your hair. "Breed her."Jake let out a sharp cry and slammed into you one last time. He poured into you, mixing his fluids with Jay’s, adding to the fullness in your belly. He collapsed next to you, burying his face in your neck. You lay there, boneless. You thought it was over. You hoped it was over. But Jay was hard again."Round two," Jay whispered, his voice dark with promise. He pulled you up, turning you over onto your stomach."Knees," Jay commanded.
You pushed yourself onto your hands and knees, your limbs shaking violently.
Jay knelt behind you. He grabbed your hips and pulled you back onto him.
He entered you from behind. The sensation was intense, the fullness returning instantly.Jake moved to the front of you. He knelt, cupping your face.
"Open up," Jake said softly. You opened your mouth. Jake kissed you deeply, tasting you. Then he pulled back and guided his softening cock to your lips."Clean me," Jake murmured. You licked him, tasting yourself on him. It was a loop of intimacy that made your head spin.Jay fucked you with renewed vigor. He wasn't gentle. He was on a mission. He swatted your ass, leaving red handprints on your skin.
"Good girl," Jay grunted. "Take it all."Time blurred. You didn't know how long it lasted. You just knew the rhythm. Thrust. Lick. Gasp.Jay finished again, gripping your hips so hard you knew there would be bruises. He flooded you a second time, ensuring there was no space left inside you that wasn't claimed by him.You collapsed onto your stomach, panting.Jake switched with him.Jay moved to the head of the bed. He sat against the headboard, pulling you up so your back rested against his chest. He wrapped his arms around you, holding you up because you couldn't support yourself anymore.Jake knelt between your legs again.
"Last one," Jake promised, though his voice sounded far away.
He pushed inside. You were so open, so stretched, that he slid in effortlessly.Jay kissed your neck, his hand playing with your breast, pinching the nipple.
"Look at her," Jay whispered to Jake. "She's practically comatose. The pills worked."
"She took it all," Jake agreed, thrusting lazily now, enjoying the friction.Your vision started to tunnel. The edges of the room went black. The pleasure was a dull, constant throb that encompassed your entire body. You couldn't tell where you ended and they began.Jake sped up. Jay held you tighter. You felt Jake release inside you one final time. And then, the darkness took you.You didn't wake up, exactly. You just floated back to consciousness for a brief, hazy moment. You felt warm water. A washcloth moving gently over your skin."She's out cold," Jake’s voice was a soft murmur."She did well," Jay replied. His voice was lower, rumbling near your ear. "The retention should be high."You felt yourself being lifted. The sheets were changed—dry, cool, crisp. You were lowered onto the mattress.Bodies pressed in on either side of you. Heavy arms draped over your waist. Legs tangled with yours.
"Sleep," Jay whispered, kissing your temple.
"Goodnight, baby," Jake mumbled, pressing a kiss to your shoulder. You felt safe. You felt full. You felt completely and utterly owned. And then you slipped back into the black, dreamless sleep of the exhausted.
The morning sun didn't assault you today; it felt distant, filtered through the heavy slate-grey curtains that had been drawn tight against the world. You woke up slowly, consciousness drifting back in fragments. Your body felt heavy, anchored to the mattress by a deep, bone-deep lethargy. You were sore—every muscle from your thighs to your neck hummed with a dull, throbbing ache that was a vivid reminder of the night before. But beneath the ache, there was a strange, humming sense of satisfaction. The hollow emptiness that usually plagued you, the hunger of the Rust Belt, was gone. You felt full. You shifted, expecting to feel the empty expanse of the bed or perhaps the clinging warmth of Jake.Instead, you felt an arm.It was heavy, muscular, and draped possessively over your waist, pinning you to the mattress. A solid wall of heat pressed against your back.
"Jake?" you murmured, your voice raspy from screaming. The arm tightened. A nose nuzzled into the hair at the nape of your neck, inhaling deeply.
"No," a deep voice rumbled against your skin. You froze. It was Jay.Your eyes snapped open. Jay Park—the man who lived by a military schedule, who was usually out the door by 06:00 sharp to run the city's defense grid—was still in bed. The digital clock on the nightstand read 08:30.
"You're... still here," you whispered, confusion clouding your brain.
"I am," Jay replied. He sounded relaxed, his voice thick with sleep and contentment. He moved his hand, his large palm splaying over your stomach, rubbing gently. "Jake had an early meeting with the neural-net team. Crisis management."You tried to scoot forward, needing to separate yourself from the overwhelming heat of him."I need the bathroom," you mumbled.Jay’s arm didn't budge. He held you fast, pulling you back until you were flush against him again.
"Stay," he commanded softly. "You're warm."
"Jay, I really have to go," you insisted, tapping his hand.He let out a low sigh, the sound of a lion disturbed from its nap. Reluctantly, his grip loosened.
"Go," he said. "But come back."You scrambled out of bed, your legs wobbling as your feet hit the thick carpet. You grabbed the nearest piece of clothing from the floor—Jake’s black t-shirt from yesterday—and pulled it on as you stumbled toward the bathroom. The bathroom was cool and pristine. You used the toilet, washed your face, and stared at yourself in the mirror. You looked wrecked. There were faint bruises blooming on your hips where Jay had gripped you. Your lips were swollen. Your hair was a bird's nest.
You looked like you belonged to them. You turned on the shower. You didn't wait for it to heat up completely before stepping in, needing the water to wake you up.You stood under the spray, letting it run over your face, washing away the sleep. You grabbed the sponge, lathering it up, trying to scrub some life back into your limbs. You were so focused on the steam and the soap that you didn't hear the door open. You didn't hear the silent footsteps on the wet tile. You only realized you weren't alone when a shadow fell over you, blocking the overhead light.
Before you could turn, strong arms wrapped around your waist from behind. You jumped, a small yelp escaping your throat.
"Easy," Jay’s voice murmured in your ear.He was naked. His skin was warm and wet, pressing against your back. He pulled you flush against him, and you felt it instantly—the hard, undeniable ridge of his erection pressing into your buttocks."Jay?" you gasped, gripping his forearms. "I thought you were sleeping."
"I was," he said, kissing the side of your neck, water dripping from his dark hair onto your shoulder. "Then you left. And I realized I wasn't finished."
"We did this for hours last night," you breathed, leaning back against him despite yourself. The hormones were still in your system, making your body betray you at the slightest touch."And now it's morning," Jay said simply. "New day. New cycle."
He didn't wait. He spun you around, pressing you back against the smooth, heated slate of the shower wall.He looked at you through the steam. His eyes were dark, hungry, and entirely focused. There was no coldness in him this morning, only a raw, burning need.He lifted you.It was effortless. He grabbed your thighs and hoisted you up. You instinctively wrapped your legs around his waist, locking your ankles behind his back to keep from falling."Wrap tight," he ordered. He didn't bother with foreplay, you starting to understand he’s not really the fore playing kind of guy. He knew you were still sensitive, still open from the night before. He lined himself up and thrust upward."Oh!" you cried out, your head falling back against the tiles. He slid inside you in one smooth, powerful motion. It was a tight fit, the friction intense and immediate. Being filled by him again, suspended in the air, water cascading around you—it was overwhelming.
Jay groaned, burying his face in the crook of your neck."So tight," he growled. "Perfect."He began to move. He held you securely, his hands gripping your ass, lifting you and dropping you onto his cock with a rhythm that stole your breath.
Thrust. Splash. Gasp.
It wasn't the frantic, desperate breeding of last night. This was slower, deeper. He was savoring you. He ground his hips against yours, hitting every nerve ending. You clung to him, your hands tangling in his wet hair, pulling him closer. You kissed his shoulder, his jaw, desperate for contact.
"Jay," you moaned. "Please."
"I've got you," he whispered, lifting his head to kiss you.His mouth captured yours, hot and demanding. He kissed you deeply, swallowing your moans, his tongue sweeping inside. The combination of the hot water, his strength holding you up, and the deep, filling strokes was too much. The pleasure built rapidly, a sharp coil tightening in your belly."I'm close," you whimpered against his mouth.
"Cum for me," Jay commanded, increasing his pace, slamming into you against the wall. "Do it."You fell apart. Your body convulsed, your inner walls clamping down on him. You cried out into his mouth, shuddering in his arms.Jay roared, his grip tightening to the point of pain as he followed you over the edge. He drove deep and held it there, pouring himself into you, his body shaking with the force of his release. He held you there for a long time, letting the water run over both of you, waiting until your heartbeats slowed. Finally, he lowered you slowly to the floor. Your legs felt like jelly. You leaned against the wall for support.Jay kissed your forehead, brushing wet hair out of your eyes.
"Good morning," he whispered, a smirk playing on his lips.Twenty minutes later, you were dressed. You wore a simple, loose sundress that Jake had bought—yellow, cheerful, and hiding the marks on your skin. You walked down the stairs, holding the railing tight. The smell of coffee led you to the dining room.Jake was there. He was sitting at his usual spot, but he wasn't eating. He was fully dressed in a sharp navy suit, looking every inch the tech mogul. A holographic interface hovered in front of him, filled with scrolling code and video feeds. He had a headset on, his expression serious as he spoke in rapid-fire technical jargon.
"...latency is unacceptable. Reroute the node through Sector 3. I don't care if it costs more, just do it."He looked up as you and Jay entered.
His face transformed. The hard businessman vanished, replaced by the soft, affectionate husband. He tapped his headset, muting the call."Morning, sunshine," Jake beamed at you. His eyes darted to Jay, noting the wet hair and the relaxed posture. He smirked. "Productive morning?"Jay didn't answer. He walked over to Jake. He leaned down, placing a hand on the back of Jake’s neck, and kissed him.It was a soft, lingering kiss. A greeting. A connection."Good morning," Jay murmured against Jake’s lips."You look happy," Jake noted, pulling back."I am," Jay said.
He pulled out his chair and sat at the head of the table. You sat in your spot. A plate was already waiting for you—oatmeal with fruit, toast, and the inevitable crystal dish with your morning pills.Jake tapped his headset again, unmuting himself.
"Yeah, I'm back," Jake said into the air, his voice sharpening again. "Look, if the patch fails, we roll back. But I want a diagnostic on my desk by noon."
He listened for a moment, rolling his eyes at whatever the person on the other end was saying. He looked at you across the table. He winked. Then, with a heavy sigh, he tapped the air to end the call. The holographic screen vanished.
"Engineers," Jake groaned, slumping slightly in his chair. "They think because they built the code, they own it."A soft smile pulled at his lips as he looked from you to Jay.
"But enough about work," Jake said, reaching for the coffee pot to pour you a cup. "Let's talk about us. Jay, did you tell her about the new security protocols for the nursery?" You choked on your toast. "The what?"
Jay buttered his bread calmly. "We're converting the unused guest wing," he said, as if discussing the weather. "Small construction starts Monday."
You looked between them. The domesticity was terrifying. The trap had closed, and they were already decorating it.But as Jay pushed the crystal dish of pills toward you with a pointed look, you realized you didn't have the energy to fight it today. You just took the pill, drank the coffee, and let the warmth settle in.
The days that followed blurred into a haze of friction, sweat, and fluids.
It was a marathon. The conception protocol wasn't a clinical checklist; it was a siege. They were determined to fill you, and your body, primed by the cocktail of hormones and supplements, was traitorously eager to accept them. You were fucked out. There was no other way to describe the bone-deep exhaustion that settled into your limbs, a heavy lethargy that made even walking to the bathroom feel like an effort. But it was a satisfied exhaustion. Your body craved them now. The hunger Jay had awakened and Jake had stoked was a constant, low-level thrum under your skin. When you weren't being bred, you were being smothered in affection.Jake was the constant shadow. He spent every free second with you, curling around you on the sofa to watch old-world movies, his lips constantly finding yours, his hands unable to stop touching you. He treated you like a precious, breakable thing that he also wanted to devour.Jay was different. His affection was silent and functional. He didn't cuddle, but he watched. He watched you eat, adding protein to your plate if he thought you were skimping. He watched you walk, his hand shooting out to steady you if you stumbled. He fucked you on the stairs, on the kitchen counter, against the shower wall—any surface was fair game if the urge took him.
But the best moments—the ones that left you shivering and mindless—were when it was both of them. When you were sandwiched between them in the massive bed, filled by one while the other worshipped your mouth, fucked like a rabbit until your mind went blank and there was nothing left in the universe but pleasure and seed. Two weeks passed. You woke up with a start. You were in your own room—you had insisted on it the night before, needing space to breathe without the oppressive heat of two large men radiating against you.The nausea hit you before you even opened your eyes.It wasn't the lingering dizziness of the pills. It was a violent, rolling wave in your gut.You scrambled out of bed, your hand clapping over your mouth. You barely made it to the bathroom. You collapsed in front of the toilet and heaved.Dinner came up. Then bile. Then nothing but dry, racking spasms that made your ribs ache.
You were used to feeling sick. In Sector 7, nausea was a daily companion—from bad water, from rot fumes, from hunger. But here, amidst the silk sheets and filtered air, you had almost forgotten what it felt like to be wretched. You dry-heaved until your body felt like it had been turned inside out. Finally, it stopped. You sat back against the cold cabinet, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, gasping for air.Your eyes drifted to the small cabinet under the sink.Jake had put them there a few days ago. "Just in case," he had said with a wink. "These are the Spire med-tech ones. They don't error." Two pregnancy tests. You stared at the cabinet door. You thought about the sudden, violent sickness. You thought about the week of relentless, unprotected sex. With a shaking hand, you reached into the cabinet and pulled one of the sleek, silver packages out.You unwrapped it. It looked more like a thermometer than a test. You followed the instructions, your hands trembling so hard you almost dropped it.Then, you waited. You paced the small bathroom. Four steps to the shower, turn. Four steps to the door, turn.
Please, you thought. Please. Though you didn't know if you were praying for a yes or a no.Two minutes passed. The stick chirped softly. You picked it up.
A holographic symbol projected into the air above the stick. PREGNANT.
Your knees gave out. You sat down hard on the toilet lid.Of course. Of course you were. They had been filling you every night, sometimes multiple times. With the fertility boosters and their Apex genetics, it would have been a miracle if you weren't.
You stared at the glowing blue letters. A baby. A Park heir. Growing inside you right now.The nausea rolled over you again, sudden and sharp. You groaned, clutching your stomach. It was too much to process. You were late to breakfast. When you finally walked into the dining room, pale and shaky, Jay and Jake were already finishing their coffee."There she is," Jake said, his smile dimming slightly as he took in your appearance. "You okay? You look... grey."You sat down, keeping your movements careful. "I'm just tired. Didn't sleep well."
"I'm sorry," Jake said immediately, his face falling into guilt. "I went too hard the other night, didn't I? I told Jay we should have let you rest, but—"
"It's not that," you interrupted quickly, shaking your head. "It's not your fault. Just... a bad night."
Jay didn't speak. He lowered his tablet, his dark eyes fixing on you. He scanned your face, noting the pallor, the way you were avoiding looking at the food on the table. He looked suspicious. His gaze dropped to your stomach, then back to your eyes. You held your breath, praying he wouldn't ask. You weren't ready to say it. You needed to hold this secret for just a little longer, to understand what it meant for you before it became theirs.Jay didn't ask. He just watched you, his eyes narrowing slightly, calculating. You picked up a piece of dry toast. You nibbled on it, terrified that if you ate anything substantial, you would vomit right onto the mahogany table.By the afternoon, the nausea had faded into a dull fatigue. You were lying on the lounge chair on the patio, soaking up the sun. The fresh air at this altitude was the only thing that made you feel human. You closed your eyes, listening to the wind.
"Hey."You opened your eyes. Jake was standing over you.He looked miserable. His shoulders were slumped, his hands tucked into his pockets. He looked like a kicked puppy."You've been so quiet today," Jake murmured, sitting on the edge of your lounger. "Did I do something? Is it because I was rough yesterday? I can stop. I can be gentle."
You looked at him. He was so powerful, yet so easily wounded by your silence. It was cute, in a pathetic sort of way."No, Jake," you sighed, reaching out to grab his hand. "You didn't do anything wrong. I'm just... adjusting." You pulled him down. He came willingly, collapsing onto your chest. He buried his face in the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent. "I just want you to be happy," he mumbled into your skin.
You ran your hands through his hair. It was soft. "I'm okay. Really."
It was wholesome. A quiet moment in the sun.
But then Jake shifted. His leg slid between yours. His breath hitched against your neck. "You smell so good," he whispered. "Sweet." He kissed your neck. Then your jaw. Then your mouth. The kiss deepened instantly. The "fucked out" feeling evaporated, replaced by the hormones that were currently wreaking havoc on your system. You pulled him closer.Somehow, you ended up straddling him on the outdoor couch. "Jake," you whined as his hands found your ass, squeezing the soft flesh through your dress. "I need you," he groaned. You rode his thigh, the friction sending sparks through you. His cock was hard against your hip.
He reached under your dress. He didn't go for your pussy—he knew you were sore there. His hand slid back.He found your other hole."Relax," he whispered, kissing you deeply to distract you.He pushed a finger in.You gasped into his mouth, your body tensing."Shh," he soothed, adding a second finger. "You can take it. You take everything we give you."
He began to pump his fingers in and out, stretching you. It was a different kind of fullness, intense and sharp. You bounced on his lap, riding the sensation."That's it," Jake praised, adding a third finger. You moaned out loud, your head falling back. The sensation was overwhelming. He hit a spot that made your toes curl.
"So tight," Jake hissed. He was rubbing his cock against your wet pussy while he worked your ass with his hand.It didn't take long. Your body was a wire pulled tight. You came with a ragged cry, your hips grinding down on his hand. Jake groaned, his own release hitting him as he felt you shudder. He kissed your boobs through the fabric of your dress, biting gently as you came down from the high. That night, the fear returned. You stood in the hallway outside the master bedroom. Jay and Jake were waiting for you inside. You could hear them moving around.
But your stomach was churning again. The evening sickness was creeping in.If you slept in there, you would wake up puking. And Jay would know. The door opened. Jake stood there, smiling, ready to pull you into the pile.
"I'm sleeping in my room," you said quickly.Jake’s face fell. He pouted, his bottom lip actually jutting out. "Again? But I wanted to cuddle."
"I really need the space," you said, backing away. "I'm restless. I'll kick you all night."
Jay appeared behind Jake. He looked at you, his eyes searching. He saw the tension in your frame. He stepped forward and kissed your forehead. It was a firm, lingering press of his lips."Rest," Jay commanded softly. "We will see you in the morning."
He pulled the pouting Jake back into the room and the door slid shut. You let out a shaky breath and retreated to your room, praying the morning sickness would wait until you were alone to strike again.
The secret sat in your belly, heavy and absolute, for three more days.
It was a strange, suspended reality. You moved through the penthouse like a sleeper agent, carrying a grenade that had already had the pin pulled, just waiting for the explosion. You avoided alcohol, feigning headaches. You picked at your food, pushing proteins around your plate to make it look like you’d eaten more than you had. You slept in your own room whenever you could invent an excuse that Jake wouldn't pout at or Jay wouldn't over-analyze.But you couldn't avoid them entirely.
They were still in the middle of the conception protocol—or at least, they thought they were. They were driven by biology and the calendar Dr. Vance had set. However, something had shifted. Maybe it was your pale complexion, or the way you flinched slightly when things got too rough, but they handled you differently. They treated you like spun glass. On the third night, the tension in the master bedroom was palpable. You were lying on the massive mattress, wearing nothing but the dim ambient light of the city. Jay and Jake hovered over you, their hunger obvious, but tempered by this new, strange caution."She looks tired," Jake whispered, tracing the purple shadow under your eye with his thumb. "She is adjusting," Jay rumbled, though his eyes were dark with unspent energy. "But we cannot break the cycle. The window is still open." They needed release. They needed to breed you. But they seemed terrified of crushing you.
So, they turned to each other. It started with you lying in the center of the bed, propped up on pillows. Jake crawled between your legs. He didn't enter you. He simply buried his face in your crotch, his tongue eager and soft, worshipping you with a gentleness that made your toes curl. But behind him, the dynamic was entirely different.Jay moved behind Jake. There was no gentleness there.Jay gripped Jake’s hips, his fingers digging into the flesh so hard his knuckles turned white. He prepped him—Jake; once done he was alway ready for Jay. Jay shoved himself inside his husband with a guttural growl that vibrated through the mattress and into your spine.Jake whined, a high, broken sound of pleasure and pain muffled against your inner thigh."Take it," Jay snarled, slamming his hips forward. The sight was incredibly, undeniably erotic. You watched from below, your head thrown back, your eyes half-lidded. You watched the way Jay’s back muscles coiled and snapped with every thrust. You watched Jake’s body rock with the impact, his ass cheeks reddening from the force of Jay’s pelvis colliding with him.
It was raw. It was violent. It was the release of all the aggression Jay had been holding back for your sake, poured directly into the one person who could take it.Jake wasn't just a passive recipient. He was working. Even as he was being pounded from behind, his tongue didn't stop. He ate you out with a rhythmic, desperate intensity, using the force of Jay’s thrusts to drive his mouth harder against your clit."Fuck," Jake gasped against your slick folds, the vibration sending shocks through you.
"Harder?" Jay asked, his voice a low threat.
"Yes," Jake begged. "Yes, Sir."Jay obliged. He increased the pace, his piston-like strokes becoming a blur. He leaned forward, biting the nape of Jake’s neck, marking him.You were caught in the middle of their storm. The wet, slapping sound of skin on skin filled the room. The scent of musk and arousal was thick enough to taste. You looked down at where they were connected. Jay’s thick, dark red cock disappearing and reappearing in Jake’s tight hole. It was mesmerizing.
Jake’s hand came up to grip your thigh, anchoring himself. He was losing control. You could feel it. As Jay hit his prostate over and over with bruising force, Jake began to leak.Clear, slick precum dripped from the tip of Jake’s cock, running down the shaft and dripping onto his own balls, swinging with the rhythm. He wasn't touching himself. He didn't need to. The internal massage was milking him dry.
"I'm close," you panted, your hips bucking against Jake’s face.
"Cum," Jay commanded, staring at you over Jake’s back. "Cum for us."
Jake swirled his tongue around your clit, sucking hard, just as Jay drove into him with a final, massive thrust. You shattered. You screamed, your hands tangling in Jake’s hair, pulling him closer as you rode out the orgasm. At the same moment, Jake cried out. A broken, keening wail tore from his throat.Without a single touch of his hand, Jake came. His semen spilled out of him in rhythmic spurts, coating the sheets below, triggered solely by the force of Jay’s possession.Jay followed a second later. He groaned, a deep, animalistic roar. He pulled out just as he climaxed, splashing his seed hot and white across Jake’s ass cheeks. He stood there for a second, panting, watching his fluids drip down Jake’s skin. He reached out and jiggled Jake’s ass, watching the cum slide, before delivering a sharp, stinging smack that made Jake yelp and collapse forward."Good boy," Jay rasped.Jake slumped onto you. He was heavy, dead weight, but he seemed conscious of it even in his haze. He rolled slightly to the side, snuggling his face into the crook of your neck, his breathing ragged.
"Wow," Jake breathed, his eyelashes fluttering against your skin.Jay stood by the bed. His erection was still half-hard, wet with his own release. He looked at the two of you—Jake curled into you, you flushed and satisfied. He walked to the bathroom. You heard the water running. He returned a moment later with a warm, wet towel.Efficiently, tenderly, he cleaned Jake up. He wiped the cum from Jake’s ass, then wiped Jake’s front. He cleaned you too, a quick, proprietary swipe between your legs.He tossed the towel into the hamper and climbed into the bed.He pulled the duvet up over the three of you. He wrapped his arm around both you and Jake, pulling the pile tight."Sleep," Jay ordered.Within minutes, their breathing deepened. Jake began to snore softly, twitching occasionally. Jay’s arm grew heavy and still. They were out. Sated. Exhausted. But you were wide awake. You lay there in the dark, staring at the ceiling. The heat of their bodies, which had been so comforting a week ago, was now stifling. The smell of sex and cedar was cloying.
Your stomach gave a treacherous lurch. The nausea was starting. It usually hit around 03:00, but tonight it was early. The rich dinner, the movement, the adrenaline—it was all churning in your gut.If you stayed here, you would throw up. If you threw up, Jay would wake up. And if Jay woke up... he would know. You had to leave. You waited until you were sure they were in deep REM sleep. Slowly, agonizingly slowly, you began to extricate yourself. You lifted Jay’s heavy arm, inch by inch, sliding out from under it. He grumbled in his sleep, his hand searching for purchase, but he grabbed onto Jake instead.Perfect.You slid off the mattress, your feet hitting the carpet silently. You grabbed your silk robe from the floor and wrapped it around yourself. You crept to the door. You pressed the release panel. It hissed open. You looked back once. They were a tangle of limbs in the moonlight, peaceful and powerful.
"Sorry," you whispered. You slipped out and let the door seal shut. The walk to your room was a blur. You entered your sanctuary, locking the door behind you. You didn't bother with lights. You just collapsed onto your bed, burying your face in the cool pillow, breathing deeply to settle your stomach.
"Just sleep," you told yourself. "Just sleep it off." Eventually, you did.
Jolt.
You woke up gasping. It wasn't a slow waking. It was a violent ejection from sleep.Your body was screaming at you.The nausea was back, and it was angry. You scrambled off the bed, sprinting for the bathroom. You hit the tiled floor on your knees in front of the toilet just as the first wave hit.You vomited until there was nothing left. Then you dry heaved, your stomach contracting painfully, trying to expel toxins that weren't there. It felt like your insides were being wrung out like a wet towel.
"Ugh," you moaned, spitting bile into the water. You flushed the toilet and slumped back against the cabinet. You felt awful. Cold sweat drenched your hairline. Your hands were shaking violently. You sat there for twenty minutes, afraid to move.
Finally, the spasms stopped. You stood up slowly. The room tilted dangerously.
"Whoa," you whispered, gripping the counter.
You felt lightheaded. Dizzy. The edges of your vision were swimming with black spots. You were cold—so cold. Your teeth started to chatter. You turned on the tap.You cupped your hands, splashing cold water onto your face, rinsing the rancid taste from your mouth."Citizen," the room’s AI voice spoke. It sounded loud in the quiet bathroom. "Biometric scan indicates elevated distress. Your heart rate is irregular. Your body temperature has dropped 1.5 degrees."
"I'm fine," you slurred, splashing more water. "Shut up."
"Distress protocols require notification of the primary careholder," the AI droned. "Alerting Mr. Park."
"No!" you gasped, turning toward the ceiling sensor. "Cancel! Do not alert!"
"Alert sent," the AI replied impassively. "Medical assistance is advised. Please sit down."Panic flared in your chest, mixing with the dizziness. Jay was coming. He would find you like this. He would know. You tried to turn back to the sink. You needed to clean up. You needed to hide the evidence.
But your body gave out.The black spots in your vision expanded, swallowing the light. Your knees simply ceased to exist. You crumbled. As you fell, you tried to catch yourself, but your coordination was gone.Your head struck the corner of the marble vanity counter on the way down.
CRACK.
It was a sharp, sickening sound.Pain exploded in your skull—white-hot and blinding—and then, nothing. You hit the floor in a heap, the silk robe splayed around you. A thin trickle of dark red blood began to ooze from a gash on your forehead, pooling on the pristine white tile.Upstairs, in the master bedroom, the silence was shattered.Jay was a light sleeper by necessity. Years of managing the city's defense grid meant his brain was wired to respond to alerts instantly. His wrist holo buzzed. A sharp, insistent vibration against his bone.Jay’s eyes snapped open. He was awake instantly, adrenaline flooding his system. He reached out instinctively for the space beside him.Empty.He sat up, the duvet falling to his waist. He looked at the other side. Jake was there, sleeping soundly, drooling slightly on the pillow.
But you were gone.
Jay lifted his wrist. The holographic display flared red in the darkness.
ALERT: RESIDENT DISTRESS.
LOCATION: GUEST SUITE 4.
VITALS: UNSTABLE. IMPACT DETECTED.
"Impact," Jay whispered, the blood draining from his face.
He didn't wake Jake. There was no time.He threw the covers off and sprang from the bed. He didn't bother with a shirt. He grabbed a pair of lounge pants from the floor and pulled them on as he ran, nearly tripping in his haste. He sprinted out of the bedroom. He took the stairs three at a time, his bare feet silent and swift on the marble. His heart was hammering a frantic rhythm against his ribs—a feeling he hadn't experienced since the riots in section 3.Please be okay, he thought, his mind racing through scenarios. Did she try to run again? Did she hurt herself trying to escape? He reached the ground floor hallway.
"Open!" Jay roared at your door before he even reached the panel. The AI obeyed instantly. The door slid open with a whoosh.
"Y/N!" Jay shouted, bursting into the room.
The bedroom was empty. The bed was rumpled, the sheets kicked off.
He scanned the room wildly. Then he saw the light. A sliver of bright, clinical light spilling out from under the bathroom door.He ran to it.He pushed the door open. And he stopped. The air left his lungs in a rush. You were lying on the floor. Your skin was the color of ash. Your blue robe was twisted around your waist, leaving your legs bare and vulnerable on the cold tile. But it was the blood that froze him.
A dark, stark contrast against the white floor. It was pooling under your head, matting your hair."No," Jay breathed. The Apex predator, the man who controlled the city, felt a spike of pure, unadulterated terror.
He dropped to his knees beside you. He didn't care about the blood. He didn't care about the mess."Y/N," he said, his voice shaking. He reached out, his hands hovering over you for a split second, terrified to touch you, terrified he might make it worse. Then training kicked in.He placed two fingers against the pulse point of your neck.It was there. Thready. Fast. But there."Alive," he whispered. "Okay. You're alive."He looked at the wound on your head. It was a gash just above your hairline. Head wounds bled a lot; he knew that. It might look worse than it was.He grabbed a towel from the rack, not caring that it was Egyptian cotton worth a fortune. He pressed it gently against the wound to staunch the flow.
"AI," Jay barked, his voice turning into a whip of command. "Medical emergency. Wake Dr. Vance. Send a trauma drone to this location immediately. And wake Jake."
"Acknowledged," the AI chirped.Jay slid his other arm under your shoulders, lifting your head slightly onto his lap. Your head lolled back, limp and heavy.
"Wake up," Jay ordered, tapping your cheek lightly with his free hand. "Come on, Love. Open your eyes."
You didn't move. You were cold to the touch.Jay pulled you closer, wrapping his bare, warm chest around your shivering form. He rocked you slightly, staring at your pale face, the blood on the towel, the fragility of your existence in his arms.
He had been so focused on possessing you, on breeding you, on keeping you. He hadn't realized until this exact moment, seeing you broken on his bathroom floor, that he was terrified of losing you.
"Don't you dare," Jay whispered fiercely into your hair. "You don't get to leave. Not like this."
Footsteps thundered down the hallway.
"Jay?!" Jake’s voice screamed, filled with panic. "Jay, what happened?!"
Jay looked up. His eyes were dark, dangerous, and filled with a cold fury directed at the universe itself.
"She fell," Jay said hoarsely. "Get the med-kit. Now."
Consciousness returned not as a sunrise, but as a collision.
It started with a sound—a rhythmic, high-pitched beep... beep... beep that seemed to drill directly into the center of your skull. Then came the smell. It wasn't the cedar and ozone of the master bedroom, nor the lavender of the hallways. It was sharp, chemical, and aggressively sterile. It smelled like rubbing alcohol and cold metal.
You tried to move, but your body felt like it was made of lead. A heavy, lethargic weight pressed you into the mattress. When you tried to lift your left hand to rub your face, something tugged at the skin of your inner elbow.
You cracked your eyes open. The light was dim, thank god, but even the low-level illumination sent a spike of agony through your temples.
You hissed, screwing your eyes shut again.
"She's awake," a voice whispered. It was thick, wet, and terrified. Jake. You forced your eyes open again, blinking against the blur. You were lying in a bed that was too narrow to be the master suite's. The walls were lined with monitors and glass cabinets.
The medical bay.
You tried to turn your head. A sharp, stinging pain radiated from your forehead, making you gasp. You reached up with your free hand and touched a bandage taped just above your eyebrow.
"Don't touch it," a professional voice commanded.
Your vision cleared.
Three figures stood near the door, illuminated by the glow of holographic charts.
Dr. Vance stood in the center, looking grave. He was holding a datapad, his glasses reflecting the blue light of the screen.
To his left was Jake. He was still wearing the lounge clothes from earlier, but he looked like he had been through a war. His hair was a mess, sticking up in tufts. His face was blotchy, his eyes swollen and rimmed with red. He was wringing his hands together, staring at you as if you were a ghost that might vanish if he blinked.
And to Vance’s right was Jay.
He was the only one fully dressed not in sleep wear, though his shirt was untucked and the sleeves were rolled up haphazardly. He had his arms crossed over his chest, leaning against the doorframe. His face was a mask of stone. He wasn't looking at the charts. He was looking at you. His eyes were dark, unreadable pits that seemed to absorb the light in the room.
"What..." you croaked. Your throat felt like sandpaper. "What happened?"
The sound of your voice broke Jake’s paralysis.
He crossed the room in two strides. He collapsed into the chair beside the bed, grabbing your hand—the one without the IV—and pressing it to his cheek.
"You scared me," Jake choked out. "God, [Y/N], you scared me so bad."
He kissed your palm, then your knuckles. His skin was hot, damp with tears.
"Jay was alerted," Jake whispered, his voice trembling. "And then Jay was running, and there was blood... so much blood on the floor."
You looked at him, confused. Blood?
Then the memory hit you. The bathroom. The nausea. The dizziness. The sink rushing up to meet you.
You had passed out.
"The baby," you whispered, panic spiking your heart rate. The monitor next to the bed sped up its beeping. Beep-beep-beep.
"The fetus is stable," Dr. Vance said calmly, stepping up to the other side of the bed. He checked the readout on the machine. "Remarkably resilient, considering the trauma the host body has sustained."
He shone a penlight into your eyes. You flinched away from the beam.
"Pupils are equal and reactive," Vance noted. "Concussion is mild, but present. Four stitches to the laceration on the supraorbital ridge."
He clicked the light off and put it in his pocket. He looked down at you, and the professional detachment slipped just a fraction. He looked stern. Like a disappointed father.
"Do you know where you are, Citizen?" Vance asked.
"The clinic," you murmured. "In the penthouse."
"Do you know the date?"
You frowned. "Tuesday? Wednesday? I don't know. The days blur."
"It is Wednesday morning," Vance said. "You have been unconscious for four hours."
He tapped his datapad, pulling up a complex chart that floated in the air above your legs. It showed a 3D rendering of a body—your body. Red warning indicators flashed near the brain, the stomach, and the uterus.
"We ran a full toxicology and metabolic panel while you were out," Vance said. His voice dropped, becoming serious and accusatory. "Your blood sugar was dangerously low. 45 mg/dL. That is hypoglycemic shock territory."
He swiped the screen, expanding the data on your stomach contents.
"Your stomach was empty," Vance stated. "Except for bile. Which indicates you had been vomiting. Profusely."
You looked away, staring at the white blanket covering your legs. You felt small. Exposed.
"You knew," Vance said.
It wasn't a question.
"You knew you were pregnant," Vance continued, his voice tight with frustration. "The hormonal markers indicate conception occurred approximately eight days ago. The HCG levels are skyrocketing. Morning sickness—or in your case, hyperemesis—is a common side effect of such rapid genetic integration."
He leaned over the bed, forcing you to look at him.
"Why did you hide this?" Vance asked. "Why did you not alert Mr. Park or Mr. Sim immediately when the nausea began?"
"I thought it would pass," you lied weakly.
"Do not lie to me," Vance snapped. "You are dehydrated. Your electrolytes are in chaos. And despite this, you engaged in strenuous... physical activity yesterday."
You flinched. From the doorway, Jay made a low noise in his throat. It wasn't a growl; it was a sound of disgust.
"You pushed your body to the breaking point," Vance lectured, pointing at the hologram. "You starved yourself. You exhausted yourself. And then you tried to manage a medical crisis alone in a locked bathroom."
He sighed, rubbing his temples.
"Do you understand how dangerous that was?" Vance asked softly. "Not just for the fetus, but for you? If you had fallen differently... if you had hit your temple instead of your forehead... we wouldn't be having this conversation. You would be brain-dead."
The words hung in the air, heavy and terrifying. Brain-dead.
You looked at Jake. He had his face buried in the mattress next to your hip, his shoulders shaking silently.
"I didn't mean to," you whispered, tears welling in your eyes. "I just... I didn't want to be a burden. I didn't want to be the sick girl again."
"You are not a 'girl' anymore," Vance corrected sternly. "You are an incubator for a Level 1 genetic line. Your health is not your own private business. It is a matter of state security for this family."
He turned to his bag and pulled out several vials. He injected them into your IV port with practiced efficiency.
"Glucose," Vance listed. "Anti-nausea medication. A high-dose sedative to keep your cortisol levels down. And a nutrient slurry."
He turned to Jay, who hadn't moved from the doorway.
"She needs bed rest," Vance told Jay. "Strict. No walking. No stairs. No stress. And absolutely no sexual activity for at least three weeks. Her body needs to recover from the shock."
"Understood," Jay said. His voice was flat. Monotone. It sounded like a computer reading a script.
"She needs to eat every two hours," Vance continued. "Small portions. Bland. If she vomits, I need to know immediately. If her fever spikes, I need to know immediately."
"She will be monitored," Jay said.
Vance nodded. He looked back at you one last time.
"You are very lucky, young lady," Vance said. "Next time you feel 'off', you speak up. Or you might not wake up."
He packed his bag. He walked to the door.
Jay stepped aside to let him pass. They exchanged a few words in the hallway—low, hushed tones that you couldn't make out, but the tone was clear. Jay was apologizing for the trouble. Vance was reassuring him, but warning him.
The door clicked shut.
Vance was gone.
The silence in the room was suffocating.
Jake lifted his head. His eyes were bloodshot, his nose red. He looked pathetic and heartbreakingly beautiful in his grief.
"Why?" Jake whispered.
He squeezed your hand so hard it hurt, but you didn't pull away.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Jake asked, his voice cracking. "You were throwing up? In secret? Why?"
"I was scared," you admitted, the truth finally spilling out. "I saw the test... and I panicked. I thought if I ignored it, maybe... I don't know. Maybe it would go away. Or maybe I could just handle it myself."
"Handle it yourself?" Jake laughed, a wet, hysterical sound. "You cracked your head open on a counter, [Y/N]. I saw you in a pool of blood. Do you know what that felt like? To see you like that?"
He brought your hand to his lips, kissing the fingers desperately.
"I thought you were dead," Jake sobbed. "For a second, when I saw the blood... I thought you were gone. I thought I lost you."
"I'm sorry," you cried, the tears spilling over your cheeks, burning the cut on your forehead. "I'm so sorry, Jake."
"We're a team," Jake insisted, looking deep into your eyes. "That's what this whole week was about. Bonding. Trusting. And you... you shut us out. Again."
He wasn't angry like he had been in the panic room. He was just hurt. Deeply, profoundly hurt. He felt like he had failed to make you feel safe enough to speak.
"I won't do it again," you promised. "I'll tell you. Everything. If I sneeze, I'll tell you."
Jake managed a weak, watery smile. "Yeah. You better."
He leaned forward and kissed your cheek, careful to avoid the bandage.
"I care about you, you idiot," he whispered. "Don't ever scare me like that again."
You nodded, sniffing.
Then, you looked up.
Past Jake’s trembling shoulders. Toward the door.
Jay was still there.
He hadn't moved. He hadn't come to the bedside. He hadn't spoken since Vance left.
He was watching the scene with an expression that chilled you to the bone.
It wasn't concern. It wasn't relief.
It was disappointment. Cold, heavy, absolute disappointment.
He looked at you like you were a bad investment. Like you were a soldier who had fallen asleep at your post.
His arms were crossed, his biceps straining against the fabric of his white shirt. His jaw was set so hard you could see the muscle ticking.
Your eyes met his.
You wanted him to come over. You wanted him to yell, or to grab you, or to demand you eat something. You wanted the possessive monster who had carried you up the stairs yesterday.
But that man was gone.
In his place was the CEO of Valeris Defense. The man who managed risk for a living. And he was looking at you like you were a liability he couldn't afford.
"Jay?" you whispered.
He didn't answer.
He looked at the bandage on your head. Then he looked at your stomach, covered by the sterile hospital blanket.
A flicker of something painful crossed his eyes—anger, yes, but mixed with a terrified realization of how close he had come to losing his heir. And you.
He couldn't handle it. The loss of control. The fact that you had almost died under his roof, under his protection, because you didn't trust him enough to speak.
It was an insult to his dominance. It was a failure of his protocol.
He pushed off the doorframe.
"Jay, wait," Jake said, turning in his chair. "Come say hi to her. She's awake."
Jay shook his head once. A sharp, negative motion.
"She is stable," Jay said. His voice was devoid of emotion. It was ice. "The doctor said she needs rest."
"But—"
"I have to go," Jay interrupted. "The drone team is waiting for the incident report."
He looked at you one last time.
"Rest," Jay commanded.
But it didn't sound like care. It sounded like an order given to a subordinate he was disgusted with.
He turned on his heel.
He walked out of the clinic room. He didn't look back. The door slid shut with a final, heavy hiss, sealing you in with the beep of the monitor and the crushing weight of his absence.
You watched the empty door, your heart sinking.
You had survived the fall. You had kept the baby. But you had broken something else—something fragile that had just started to grow between you and Jay.
And looking at the closed door, you realized that fixing your head might be easier than fixing his pride.
The next twenty-four hours were a blur of solitude and Jake.
You were confined to the clinic bed. The IV drip was your new umbilical cord, feeding you fluids and nutrients because your stomach was still too volatile for solid food.
Jake practically lived in the room. He had the bots bring a comfortable armchair in, and he slept there, curled up uncomfortably, waking up every time the monitor beeped or you shifted in the sheets.
He was attentive. He wiped your face with cool cloths. He read to you from his datapad—mostly technical manuals about the neural grid that went over your head, but the sound of his voice was grounding.
But Jay... Jay was a ghost.
He didn't come in. Not once.
You knew he was in the house. You could hear his heavy footsteps in the hallway outside the clinic door. You could hear his low rumble of a voice giving orders to the house AI.
“Increase the temperature in the clinic by two degrees.”
“Ensure the nutrient slurry has added B6.”
“authorize Dr. Vance’s second visit.”
He was managing you. He was overseeing your care with the precision of a hawk. But he wouldn't see you.
It hurt. It hurt more than the headache.
"He's just... processing," Jake said on the second afternoon, seeing you staring at the door again.
"He hates me," you whispered, picking at the blanket.
"He doesn't hate you," Jake sighed, putting down his datapad. He came over and sat on the edge of the bed. "He's terrified, [Y/N]. You have to understand... Jay doesn't do fear. He controls things. When he can't control something—like you falling and cracking your skull—he shuts down. He retreats to his fortress until he can rebuild the walls."
"I just want to see him," you said.
"Give him time," Jake advised. "Let him cool off. Let him realize that the sky didn't fall."
But you were tired of waiting. You were tired of being the invalid in the tower.
By the evening of the second day, Dr. Vance returned. He checked your vitals, shone the light in your eyes again, and nodded.
"The concussion is resolving," Vance announced. "HCG levels are stabilizing. You may be discharged to your room. But bed rest is still mandatory for another 48 hours."
"Can I walk?" you asked.
"Slowly," Vance warned. "With assistance."
When Vance left, Jake helped you up.
You felt weak. Your legs were like jelly. You leaned heavily on Jake as he guided you out of the clinic.
"Let's get you to bed," Jake said. "Our bed. Jay had the sheets changed to the hypoallergenic ones."
You walked down the hallway. It felt miles long.
When you reached the master bedroom, the door was open.
Jay was there.
He was standing by the window, looking out at the stars. He was wearing his suit pants and a white shirt, unbuttoned at the cuffs. He held a glass of whiskey in one hand.
He heard you enter. His back stiffened.
He didn't turn around.
Jake guided you to the bed. You climbed in, sinking into the familiar softness. It smelled like them. It felt like home.
"Jay," Jake said softly. "She's back."
Jay took a sip of his drink. He stared at his reflection in the glass, and through it, at you lying in the bed.
"I see that," Jay said quietly.
"Are you going to come to bed?" Jake asked.
"I have work to finish," Jay replied.
"Jay," Jake warned, his voice taking on a harder edge. "Don't do this. She needs us."
Jay turned around.
His face was tired. There were dark circles under his eyes that hadn't been there two days ago. He looked at you, huddled under the duvet, the bandage on your forehead stark white against your skin.
He walked over to the bed.
He stopped at the foot. He didn't come to the side. He kept the barrier of distance.
"You are feeling better?" Jay asked. It was polite. Distant.
"Yes," you whispered. "Jay, I'm sorry."
"We have established that," Jay said, cutting you off. "Apologies do not fix head trauma."
He looked at your stomach.
"The doctor says the pregnancy is high-risk," Jay stated. "Because of your history. Because of the incident."
"I'll be careful," you promised.
"You will be monitored," Jay corrected. "I have installed biometric sensors in the bed. In the floor. If your heart rate spikes, if your temperature drops, I will know. Before you hit the floor."
It was a declaration of total surveillance. Total control.
"Okay," you said. You would have agreed to anything.
Jay looked at you for a long moment. He seemed to be warring with himself—the urge to comfort you versus the anger at your recklessness.
The anger won. Or maybe the fear did.
"Sleep," Jay said.
He finished his whiskey in one swallow and set the glass on the dresser.
"I will sleep in the guest room tonight," Jay announced.
Jake gasped. "Jay, no."
"I am restless," Jay lied smoothly. "I will disturb her. She needs rest."
"That's bullshit," Jake snapped. "She needs you."
"She needs safety," Jay said firmly. "And right now, I am not... safe."
He looked at his hands. He clenched them into fists, then released them.
"I am too angry," Jay admitted, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I look at her, and I see her bleeding on the floor. And I want to... I want to break something."
He looked at you, his eyes burning.
"I cannot be near you right now," Jay said. "Because I want to shake you for being so stupid, and I want to hold you until you can't breathe. And neither of those is good for the baby."
He turned away.
"Goodnight," Jay said.
He walked out of the room. He didn't look back.
Jake sat on the bed next to you. He looked devastated.
"He'll come around," Jake whispered, pulling you into his arms. "He just... he cares too much. It scares him."
You buried your face in Jake’s chest, tears leaking from your eyes again.
You had the baby. You had the luxury. You had Jake.
But as you drifted off to sleep in the massive, half-empty bed, you realized that without the heavy, grounding weight of Jay on the other side, the nest felt terribly cold.
The weeks bled into a month, and then two.
Time in the Spire had a way of warping. Without the daily struggle for survival, days were marked not by shifts at the scrapyard or ration drops, but by the slow, inexorable changes in your own body.
The bump appeared around week eight.
It wasn't massive, just a firm, rounded swell low in your abdomen that refused to be sucked in. It disrupted the line of your silk nightgowns. It made your jeans—the ones you hadn't worn since the escape attempt—impossible to button.
It was real.
The master bedroom had officially become your domain. The bots had moved all your things from the guest suite—your few scavenged treasures, the clothes Jake bought you, the toiletries. The bed was a vast ocean of linens, and you were the queen floating in the center.
But the king was missing.
Jay was still sleeping in the guest wing.
He was a ghost in his own house. You saw him, of course. He checked on you every morning before he left for the Ministry, scanning you with his eyes like you were a piece of sensitive machinery he was calibrating.
"Did you take the iron?" he would ask, standing in the doorway, fully dressed in his armor of charcoal wool.
"Yes, Jay."
"Nausea levels?"
"Manageable."
"Good."
And then he would leave. He wouldn't touch you. He wouldn't kiss you. He wouldn't look at the bump with the reverence Jake did. He looked at it with a terrified respect, as if it were a bomb he was waiting to defuse.
Jake, on the other hand, had become your second skin.
He had scaled back his hours at Neural-Link, delegating the crisis management to his VPs so he could stay home and "monitor the asset."
"Asset, my ass," you teased him one afternoon.
You were sitting on the kitchen island—a habit Jay hated but Jake encouraged. You were eating pickles dipped in peanut butter. It was disgusting. It was heavenly. The salty crunch of the brine mixed with the sweet, sticky nut butter hit a spot in your brain that felt like an orgasm. You never tried anything like this in sector 7.
"Don't judge me," you mumbled, catching a drip of peanut butter with your thumb.
"I'm not judging," Jake grinned, leaning between your spread knees. He wiped a smudge from your chin and licked his finger. "I'm admiring the biological imperative. You're building bones in there. You need the sodium and protein."
He placed his hands on your knees, sliding them up your thighs. His touch was warm, familiar, and constant.
"Hey, little one," Jake whispered, leaning down to talk to your stomach. "Is Mama eating garbage again? Yeah, she is. She has the palate of a raccoon."
"I can hear you," you said, kicking his shin lightly.
"You're supposed to," Jake winked. He pressed a kiss to the fabric of your dress, right over your navel. "Hello in there. It's Papa Jake. The fun one. The one who doesn't sleep in the guest room like a grump."
Your smile faltered. "Is he... is he ever going to come back?"
Jake straightened up. His smile didn't fade, but it grew tight at the edges.
"He's stubborn," Jake sighed, running a hand through his hair. "He's punishing himself, [Y/N]. He thinks if he gets too close, he'll break you again. He thinks his desire is dangerous."
"That's stupid," you grumbled, taking another bite of the pickle.
"He's a man of logic," Jake shrugged. "Logic says: I hurt her, therefore I stay away. Emotions say: I miss her and I want to crawl into that bed. He's just... wrestling with the logic right now."
He leaned in, his eyes darkening.
"But I'm not logical," Jake whispered. "I'm selfish."
The shift in the air was instantaneous. One moment, he was talking about Jay; the next, the scent of his arousal hit you like a wave.
The pregnancy hormones had turned you into a different creature.
"Jake," you breathed, dropping the pickle onto the plate.
"Hungry?" he asked, but he wasn't talking about food.
"Yes."
You didn't wait. You wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled.
He groaned, stepping into you, pressing his groin against the apex of your thighs. He was hard. He was always hard for you these days.
"You're a menace," Jake laughed breathlessly as you began to grind against him. "A total cougar. Predator."
"Shut up and fuck me," you ordered.
You hopped off the counter, dragging him toward the living room. You didn't make it to the couch. You pushed him onto the thick rug in front of the fireplace.
Jake went down willingly, pulling you on top of him.
He tried to be gentle. He always tried to be gentle now. He would hold your hips with soft hands, asking if you were okay, if the angle was alright for the baby.
"Too soft," you hissed, biting his lower lip.
You sat up, straddling his hips. You hiked your dress up to your waist. You weren't wearing panties—you rarely did inside the house anymore. It saved time.
You guided him in.
He filled you. The sensation was immediate relief, a pressure that scratched the itch deep inside.
"Oh god," Jake moaned, his head falling back against the rug. "You're so tight. How are you still so tight?"
You didn't answer. You rode him.
You set a punishing pace. You didn't want gentle lovemaking. You wanted to feel him. You wanted the impact. You slammed your hips down, grinding against his pubic bone.
"Rougher," you demanded, grabbing his wrists and pinning them to the floor by his head.
"Baby, careful," Jake gasped, bucking up to meet you. "The doctor said—"
"The doctor said I'm healthy," you panted, hair falling in your face. "Do it, Jake. Fuck me like you mean it."
Something snapped in him. The "soft dom" veneer cracked.
He freed his hands and grabbed your hips. He stopped your frantic bouncing and took control. He drove upward, hard and deep, hitting your cervix.
You cried out, head thrown back. Yes.
He fucked you from below, his thrusts powerful and rhythmic. He watched you ride him, his eyes black with lust. He reached up, one hand kneading your breast, the other gripping your ass cheek, leaving red marks on your skin.
"You like that?" he growled, sounding terrifyingly like Jay for a second. "You want it hard? Fine."
He sat up, bringing you with him, wrapping his arms around you so you were chest to chest. He pounded into you, biting your neck, marking you.
You came hard, your nails digging into his back. He followed seconds later, pouring himself into you, groaning your name against your skin.
You collapsed against him, sweating and panting.
"Jesus," Jake laughed weakly, kissing your temple. "You're going to kill me before the baby gets here."
"Maybe," you murmured, nuzzling into his neck.
But even as you lay there, sated and heavy, your eyes drifted past the stairs. To the guest wing.
It was good with Jake. It was amazing. But there was a heaviness missing. A darkness you had grown to crave.
That night, the silence of the house was broken by voices.
You were in the master bedroom, trying to read a book on prenatal development that Jake had insisted you start. But the shouting from downstairs made the words swim.
It wasn't a conversation. It was a fight.
You crept out of bed, pulling your robe on. You walked to the top of the stairs, staying in the shadows of the landing.
Jay and Jake were in the foyer.
Jay had just come home. He looked exhausted. His tie was undone, his jacket in his hand. He looked thinner than he had a month ago.
Jake was standing in front of him, blocking his path to the guest wing. Jake’s hands were on his hips, his posture aggressive.
"This is ridiculous, Jay!" Jake shouted. "It's been eight weeks! She's showing! She's healthy! Stop punishing her!"
"I am not punishing her," Jay’s voice was low, controlled, but laced with a dangerous edge. "I am protecting her."
"From what?" Jake demanded. "From us? From you? You think you're toxic? You think your dick is radioactive?"
"I think I am volatile," Jay snapped. "I think I almost killed her."
"She slipped!" Jake yelled. "She was sick and she slipped! It wasn't your fault!"
"It was my fault!" Jay roared.
The sound echoed off the high ceilings, making you flinch.
Jay threw his jacket onto the bench. He paced a tight circle in the foyer, running his hands over his face.
"I pushed her," Jay said, his voice dropping to a tortured whisper. "I pushed the protocol too fast. I scared her into hiding her sickness. If I hadn't been so... so obsessed with the timeline, she would have told us. And she wouldn't have been alone on that floor."
He looked at Jake, his eyes haunted.
"I saw her blood, Jake," Jay said hoarsely. "I saw her lying there, grey and cold. And I knew... I knew I did that. I broke the one thing I was supposed to keep safe."
"So your solution is to abandon her?" Jake countered, his voice softening but losing none of its intensity. "To leave her alone in a bed that's too big for her? She misses you, Jay. She asks about you every day. She thinks you hate her."
Jay flinched as if slapped. "I do not hate her."
"Then show her!" Jake pleaded. "Come upstairs. Just sleep. Just... be there. Be the man. She needs your weight, Jay. She needs to know you haven't discarded her."
Jay stared at the floor. He looked defeated. The arrogance, the coldness... it was all a shield. He was terrified.
"I can't," Jay whispered. "Not yet. If I touch her... I won't be able to stop. And I can't risk hurting her again."
"You're an idiot," Jake said, his voice trembling. "You're a stubborn, pouty, self-righteous asshole."
"Perhaps," Jay said.
He stepped around Jake. He walked toward the guest wing corridor.
"Goodnight, Jake."
Jake stood there, watching his husband walk away. He kicked the bench in frustration, letting out a string of curses.
You shrank back into the shadows as Jake turned toward the stairs. You hurried back to bed, your heart aching.
Jay didn't hate you. He was terrified of himself.
When Jake came to bed twenty minutes later, he smelled of toothpaste and frustration.
He climbed in, pulling you into his arms immediately.
"You're awake," he whispered.
"I heard yelling," you admitted.
Jake sighed, burying his face in your hair. "Jay is just... being a pouty asshole. He's working through some stuff."
"He blames himself," you said softly.
Jake stiffened. "You heard that part?"
"Yeah."
"He's an idiot," Jake said firmly. "He thinks he has to be Superman. He thinks if anything goes wrong, it's a personal failure of his management skills."
Jake kissed your forehead.
"Don't worry," he soothed. "I'm working on him. I'm wearing him down. He's jealous, you know. He smells you on me every morning and he looks like he wants to murder me."
You chuckled weakly. "That's healthy."
"It's the Park way," Jake grinned in the dark. "Dysfunctional but effective."
He shifted, pulling one of your legs over his hip to settle you more comfortably.
"Now," Jake said, changing the subject with practiced ease. "Let's talk about something better. Feet."
"My feet are swollen," you groaned.
"Exactly," Jake said. He sat up, moving to the foot of the bed. He lifted the duvet and pulled your feet onto his lap. His hands were warm and strong. He began to knead your arches, his thumbs working out the tension.
"Oh god," you moaned, your head falling back into the pillow. "That feels amazing."
"I know," Jake smirked. "I have magic hands."
He rubbed your ankles, working his way up your calves.
"So," Jake said casually. "Names."
"We don't even know the gender yet," you said, eyes closed in bliss.
"I have a feeling," Jake said. "It's a girl. A little princess who is going to wrap Jay around her finger and destroy his entire ego."
"If it's a girl," you murmured. "I like... Luna."
"Luna," Jake repeated, testing it. "Moon. I like it. Matches the whole 'light in the darkness' vibe."
He pressed his thumb into a knot in your heel.
"What if it's a boy?" Jake asked.
"I don't know," you said. "Something strong."
"Jay wants 'Regulus'," Jake snorted. "Like the star. Or the Roman general. I told him that's child abuse. The kid would get bullied."
"No one bullies a Park," you pointed out.
"True," Jake conceded. "But still. I was thinking... Leo. Or Seojun."
"Seojun Park," you said. "Sounds like a CEO."
"Exactly."
He massaged your feet for another twenty minutes, talking about nurseries and holo-mobiles and whether or not ducks could be kept as indoor pets (you vetoed that immediately).
It was sweet. It was domestic. It was everything you had never dared to dream of in Sector 7.
But as you drifted off to sleep, with Jake’s hands on your skin and the baby resting quietly inside you, you couldn't help but look at the empty space on the other side of the bed. The pillow was cold. The sheets were unwrinkled.
You missed the storm. You missed the ozone.
And you made a decision. If Jay wasn't going to come to the mountain, the mountain was going to have to waddle to him.
The week of silence stretched the very fabric of the penthouse until it felt like it might tear.
Jake was trying. God, he was trying. He filled the silence with chatter, with music, with the hum of bad reality television from the 21st century. He filled the empty side of the bed with body pillows and his own limbs, trying to simulate the weight of the man who refused to be there.
But Jake wasn't Jay.
Jake was the sun—warm, constant, nurturing. But you had grown addicted to the storm too. You missed the ozone. You missed the heavy, silent gravity that Jay brought into a room. You missed the way he looked at you—not with Jake’s adoration, but with that dark, consuming possession that made you feel anchored to the earth.
You were three months along now. The bump was undeniable, a hard, round evidence of their claim pushing against your silk shirts. Your face had filled out, the hollows of Sector 7 starvation replaced by soft, flushed cheeks. Your breasts were heavy, aching, and swollen.
And you were angry.
The hormones were a volatile chemical fire in your blood. One minute you were weeping over a commercial for robotic dogs, and the next you wanted to set the drapes on fire because they were the wrong shade of grey.
But mostly, your rage was directed at the closed door of the guest wing.
It was Tuesday. Jake was gone—a mandatory shareholder meeting at Neural-Link that he couldn't wiggle out of. He had kissed your belly, promised to bring back spicy noodles, and left you with a stern warning to rest.
"Rest," you scoffed to the empty room.
You had been resting for weeks. Your feet were swollen and sore from the water retention, aching with a dull throb that made you want to elevate them forever.
But you didn't.
You stood up from the sofa. You smoothed down the oversized silk shirt you were wearing—one of Jay’s old ones that Jake had stolen for you. It was tight across the chest now.
"Enough," you whispered.
You marched out of the living room. You bypassed the kitchen. You walked straight to the gym.
You knew he was there. You could hear the faint, rhythmic clang of metal on metal vibrating through the floorboards. It was the sound of a man trying to exorcise his demons through physical exhaustion.
The gym doors were glass. You didn't wait for the sensor. You slapped the panel.
The doors slid open.
The air inside was different. It smelled of exertion, of testosterone and sweat. The lights were low, focused entirely on the weight bench in the center of the room.
Jay was there.
He was lying on the bench press, shirtless. His skin glistened with a sheen of sweat that highlighted every cord of muscle in his torso. He was lifting a barbell loaded with plates that looked heavy enough to crush a car.
Down. Up. Down. Up.
His rhythm was punishing. His face was contorted in a grimace of focus, his eyes staring unseeingly at the ceiling. Music was blasting from the room’s speakers—heavy, aggressive bass that shook your ribs.
He didn't see you. Or if he did, he ignored you.
You walked over to the wall console. You slammed your hand onto the mute button.
The silence was instant and deafening.
CLANG.
Jay racked the weight. The metal bar slammed into the cradle.
He lay there for a second, his chest heaving, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He wiped a hand over his face, slicking back his damp hair.
Then, slowly, he sat up.
He turned on the bench to face you.
He looked... wrecked. He was physically perfect, an Apex specimen, but his eyes were haunted. There were dark circles under them. He looked like a man who hadn't slept a dreamless night in weeks.
He looked at you. His gaze dropped to your feet (bare), then up to your stomach (round), then to your face.
You were scowling. Your brows were furrowed, your lips pressed into a thin line. The extra weight in your face didn't make you look intimidating; it made you look soft. Furious, but soft.
Jay blinked. A flicker of something—pain? longing?—crossed his face.
He stood up. He grabbed a towel from the bench and wiped his face, deliberately breaking eye contact.
"You should not be in here," Jay said, his voice rough from disuse. "The air quality is not filtered for... the condition. It smells of sweat."
He turned his back on you, walking toward the rack to change the weights. He was dismissing you. Again.
"Jay," you said.
He grabbed a 45-pound plate. "Go back to the living room, [Y/N]. I will be done in an hour."
He slid the weight onto the bar with a metallic shink.
He was ignoring you. He was treating you like a child he had sent to her room.
Rage, hot and molten, exploded in your chest.
You stomped your foot. It was a childish gesture, ridiculous really, but it felt good. The impact sent a jolt of pain through your sore heel, but you didn't care.
"Jay!" you shouted.
He stiffened. He didn't turn. He reached for the second weight.
You marched up to him. You didn't care that he was sweaty. You didn't care that he was a foot taller than you and twice your weight.
You reached out and shoved his shoulder.
It was like shoving a brick wall. He barely moved. But the contact—your hand on his skin—made him freeze.
"Look at me!" you screamed.
Jay sighed. It was a heavy, weary sound. He slowly turned around.
He looked down at you. You were vibrating with anger. Your chest was heaving.
"What?" Jay asked, his voice devoid of emotion. "What do you want? Do you need water? Did the bots miss a supplement?"
"I don't need a supplement!" you yelled, pushing him again. This time, he took a half-step back, purely to indulge you. "I need you to stop being a coward!"
Jay’s eyes narrowed. "Careful."
"No!" you snapped. "I won't be careful! I'm sick of careful! I'm sick of you treating me like I'm made of glass! I'm sick of you sleeping in the guest room like a martyr!"
The words started tumbling out, faster than you could control them. The dam broke.
"You think you're protecting me?" you demanded, poking a finger into his hard pectoral muscle. "You're hurting me! You leave me and Jake alone in that giant bed every night! Do you know how cold it is? Do you know what it feels like to wake up and not see you there?"
Jay’s jaw tightened. "I am doing what is necessary."
"Bullshit!" you cursed. "You're hiding! You're the big, scary Apex of Sector 1, and you're scared of a pregnant girl!"
"I am scared of killing you!" Jay roared back.
The volume of his voice shocked you into silence for a split second. His control slipped. His eyes blazed with a terrifying intensity.
"I almost broke your skull," Jay hissed, leaning down, invading your space. "I pushed you until you collapsed. I look at you, and I see the blood on the tile. Every time I close my eyes, I see it."
"I'm fine! You didn’t do anything, it was all me!" you argued, tears springing to your eyes unbidden. "Look at me! I'm full! I'm healthy! The baby is fine!"
"For now," Jay said darkly. "Until I lose control again. Until I want you too much and I break you."
"Then break me!" you sobbed.
The confession tore out of your throat, raw and ugly.
"Break me, Jay! I don't care! Just touch me!"
You began to cry. It wasn't a pretty, cinematic cry. It was a messy, hormonal breakdown. Your face crumpled. Sobs racked your body, making your shoulders shake.
"I miss you," you wailed, hitting his chest weakly with your fists. "I miss you so much. And you hate me. You hate me because I fell. You hate me because I'm weak."
"I don't hate you," Jay said, his voice sounding strangled.
"You do!" you cried, pushing him again, though your strength was fading. "You won't even look at me. You look at the wall. You look at Jake. You never look at me."
You stumbled, your sore feet giving way under the weight of your emotion.
Jay moved.
He caught you before you could dip an inch.
He grabbed your wrists, stopping your weak assault on his chest. His hands were large, calloused from the weights, and incredibly warm.
"Stop," Jay ordered.
He pulled you in.
He didn't push you away. He pulled you flush against his sweaty, overheated body.
He wrapped his arms around you, trapping you against him. One hand splayed across your back, holding you tight. The other cupped the back of your head, pressing your face into his neck.
"I don't hate you," Jay whispered into your hair. "God. I could never hate you."
You broke down completely. You grabbed onto his shoulders, your fingers digging into his skin, slippery with sweat. You cried into his neck, soaking him with tears and snot.
"You left me," you accused through your sobs.
"I know," Jay murmured, rocking you slightly. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
He held you while you cried. He didn't care about the snot. He didn't care that you were ruining his workout. He just held you, absorbing your distress, letting his own walls crumble brick by brick.
He kissed the top of your head. Then your temple. Then your forehead.
"I thought I was poison," Jay confessed quietly, his lips brushing your skin. "I thought my need was too heavy for you. I thought if I stayed away, you would heal faster."
"I heal better with you," you sniffled, pulling back slightly to look at him.
Your face was a mess. Red blotches, swollen eyes, tear tracks.
Jay looked at you like you were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He raised a hand and wiped a tear from your cheek with his thumb.
"You are so stubborn," he whispered, a small, sad smile touching his lips. "So loud."
"And you're an idiot," you countered weakly.
"Yes," Jay agreed. "I am."
He looked down. His chest was pressing against your stomach. He could feel the bump—hard and undeniable—between you.
His expression softened into something resembling awe.
"He's grown," Jay murmured.
"She," you corrected automatically, though you didn't know. "And yes. She misses her dad."
Jay closed his eyes for a second, looking pained. Then he opened them, and the hesitation was gone. The distance was gone.
"Okay," Jay said.
"Okay?"
"No more guest room," Jay promised. "No more hiding."
He scooped you up.
"Jay!" you gasped as the floor fell away. "You're sweaty."
"And you're crying," Jay said, walking toward the door. "We're a mess. Let's go fix it."
He carried you out of the gym, up the stairs, and straight into the master bedroom.
He didn't put you down on the bed. He walked into the bathroom.
"Shower," Jay announced. "Again."
He stripped you out of the silk shirt. He stripped off his own gym shorts.
He pulled you into the shower with him. He washed you. He washed your face, tenderly cleaning away the tears. He washed your swollen feet, massaging the arches until you groaned in relief.
Then he washed himself, letting you help, letting you reclaim him.
When you were both clean and dry, he carried you to the bed.
It was mid-afternoon. The sun was high. But Jay closed the blackout curtains, plunging the room into twilight.
He laid you down on the mattress.
"Jay," you whispered, reaching for him.
He climbed over you. But he didn't lie down next to you.
He straddled your hips—carefully, keeping his weight on his knees so he didn't press on your stomach.
He looked down at you. His eyes were dark again, but not with distance. With hunger.
"You said I hate you," Jay murmured, running his hand up your side, over your ribs. "Let me show you how wrong you are."
He leaned down and kissed you.
It wasn't gentle. It was starving. It was a kiss that tried to inhale your soul.
His hand moved up to your breast.
It was swollen, heavy with the changes of pregnancy. The nipple was dark and sensitive.
Jay groaned. He squeezed it, his hand encompassing the fullness.
"Mine," he growled.
He moved down. He buried his face in your chest. He took your nipple into his mouth and sucked.
"Jay!" you cried out, your back arching.
The sensation was electric. Your nipples were hypersensitive, connected directly to your womb. As he sucked, a jolt of pleasure shot straight down to your clit.
"So heavy," Jay mumbled against your skin. "So full."
He wasn't gentle. He bit lightly, teasing the nub, before soothing it with his tongue.
His hand moved down your belly, tracing the curve of the bump, before sliding between your legs.
You were wet. You were always wet for him, but the makeup sex combined with the hormones created a flood.
"Open," Jay commanded.
You spread your legs.
He moved off you, positioning himself at your side. He grabbed your leg and hooked it over his hip.
"Side," he said. "Easier for you."
He rolled you onto your side, curling his large body around your back. He spooned you, his erection pressing against your ass.
He reached down and guided himself.
He pushed in.
"Oh god," you moaned, pushing back into him.
He filled you slowly, inch by inch, letting you adjust to his size. It had been weeks. You were tight, but your body remembered him. It welcomed him.
When he was fully seated, he stopped. He rested his forehead against the back of your neck. He just breathed, feeling himself inside you, feeling the baby between you.
"I missed this," Jay whispered roughly. "I missed being home."
Then, he began to move.
It was slow, deep, and rhythmic. He kept one hand on your breast, squeezing and teasing the nipple, while the other hand splayed flat over your baby bump, holding you steady.
He fucked you with a possessive, steady cadence. Thrust. Drag. Thrust.
You moaned, your head thrashing on the pillow. It felt so good to be full again. To be claimed.
Jay nuzzled your neck, biting the sensitive spot where your shoulder met your throat.
"You're mine," he growled into your ear with every thrust. "Mine. The baby is mine. All of it."
"Yes," you sobbed. "Yes, Jay."
You lost track of time. You just floated in the sensation of his weight, his heat, and his cock stretching you open.
The door to the bedroom clicked open.
You didn't hear it over your own moans. Jay didn't hear it over the blood rushing in his ears.
Jake walked in.
He was tired. The meeting had dragged on for five hours. He had loosening his tie, ready to complain about engineers and quarterly projections.
He stopped in the doorway.
The room was dim, but he could see perfectly.
He saw Jay curled around you. He saw the rhythmic rocking of Jay’s hips. He heard the wet, slick sounds of sex and your breathless whimpers.
He saw Jay’s hand kneading your breast, pulling at the nipple. He saw the way you were pushing back into him, desperate for more.
Jake didn't say a word.
A slow, brilliant smile spread across his face. The tension that had been carried in his shoulders for weeks evaporated.
He leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms, and just watched.
Jay sensed him. The Apex instinct.
Jay turned his head slightly, without stopping his rhythm. He looked over his shoulder.
He saw Jake.
Jay didn't stop. He didn't pull out.
He stared at his husband, his eyes black and dilated. He reached down and grabbed your thigh, hiking it higher, opening you wider for Jake to see.
He thrust harder.
Smack.
Your cry was louder this time.
Jake let out a low, shaky breath. He was instantly hard.
"Finally," Jake whispered to the room.
He walked over to the bed. He didn't join in—not yet. He just wanted to witness it.
He walked to the side of the bed where you were facing. He crouched down so his face was level with yours.
"Hi," Jake grinned.
You opened your eyes, hazy with lust. "Jake?"
"Hey, baby," Jake whispered. He reached out and brushed sweaty hair off your forehead. " having fun?"
"Jay," you panted. "He came back."
"I see that," Jake smirked, looking up at Jay, who was looming over you, pounding into you with renewed vigor now that he had an audience.
"You done pouting?" Jake asked Jay.
Jay grunted, driving deep. "Shut up."
"Make me," Jake challenged softly.
Jay reached out with the hand that had been on your breast. He grabbed Jake by the back of the neck and pulled him forward.
Jay kissed him. Hard. Messy.
You were in the middle. You felt Jay thrusting inside you, and you watched him kissing Jake right in front of your face.
It was too much.
"I'm cumming!" you screamed.
Jay broke the kiss. He wrapped his arm around your chest, holding you tight against him. He drove into you, fast and hard, chasing his own release.
"Come for us," Jay ordered.
You shattered. Your walls clamped down on him.
Jay moaned, burying his face in your neck, emptying himself inside you. He held you through the tremors, his body shaking with the force of his climax.
Jake watched, his eyes dark with love and arousal. He leaned in and kissed your nose as you came down.
Jay slowly pulled out. He collapsed onto his back, pulling you with him so you were resting on his chest.
You lay there, listening to his heart thunder.
Jake climbed onto the bed. He lay down on your other side, wrapping an arm over both of you.
"So," Jake said, his voice light but his eyes serious. "Does this mean I can sleep in the middle tonight?"
Jay let out a huff of laughter—a rare, genuine sound. He kissed the top of your head.
"No," Jay said. "She stays in the middle. Where she belongs."
You closed your eyes, surrounded by them, filled and safe. The cage was closed, the lock was turned, and for the first time, you were perfectly fine with throwing away the key.
