These people here were caught spewing hatred on video. You don't want blacks in your fraternity? That's perfectly fine. However, what I want the masses to understand is that when Blacks acknowledge that we are unwelcome somewhere and then create things for ourselves, it is not "racist" as some people love to refer to it. Racism is what you see in this video. Recently, there was controversy/criticism behind a "Miss Black Clarksville Pageant" here in middle TN, and people were wondering why we set ourselves apart. Why is it exclusive to Blacks? That's racist. What if we had a "Miss White" pageant? Well, the next time you find yourself wondering why there are black fraternities and sororities, historically black colleges & universities, black churches, black pageants, community organizations specifically for African-Americans, etc., or even if you wonder why all the black kids sit together in the cafeteria, I want you to remember that things like this were started for two primary reasons: 1. We have unique customs, traditions, culture, and heritage associated with us as a race that is a minority population in this here nation. 2. Racism existed, and...pssstt..it still exists. Don't believe me?.. just watch the video. Furthermore, we're not that far removed from segregation, the Voting Rights Act, and many other civil rights struggles. It was only a few decades ago.
