my personal thoughts on every (popular) hazbin hotel ship. pt 1

i've decided i wanted to write out my thoughts on every single hazbin hotel ship. keep in mind this'll probably be messy and i'm just yapping. my opinion is my own and if you disagree with any of them (which you probably will lol), thats totally fine! tell me what you think in reblogs or comments:3 i'd love to see peoples opinions

CHAGGIE (charlie x vaggie) i love chaggie. i think they have a very cute dynamic and i think hazbin hotel did a pretty good job at the pre-established relationship thing. along with that i think the concept of 'lucifers daughter' x 'ex-demon exterminator' is also pretty interesting! i just wish the series gave them more time to shine, however i understand that's not totally vivziepops fault because she and the team were only given 8 20 minute episodes, so naturally some stuff aren't going to take centre-stage. regardless, i like this ship.

HUSKERDUST (husk x angel dust) i enjoy seeing art of these two together and i totally understand why someone would ship this! although im not totally invested in this ship personally, i'm partially certain its either going to end up canon or just hinted at as the show progresses. i like the characters dynamics and i think most of their interactions have been fun to watch too! also 'loser, baby' is fire.

RADIOAPPLE (alastor x lucifer) i personally cannot enjoy radioapple. i recognize this is one of (if not THE) most popular ship in the fandom atm, however while i can totally see the appeal (menacing, terrifying x goofy guy) and where it stems from (their canon 'rivalry') i cannot find any enjoyment in it. and it's not even because of alastor canon identity, i can enjoy alastor ships but it feels to me as though a lot of the artwork, memes and fanfiction of these two are strangely out of character; trying to fit the characters into a trope rather than the trope fitting them. other than that, i can't properly articulate my hatred of this ship. i just know i do not like it :,)

RADIODUST (alastor x angel dust) i again can totally see the appeal of this ship, that being 'horny fuck' x 'don't fucking touch me', i just personally don't ship it. i do still enjoy comedic art of this ship, so i maybe ship it as more of a crackship rather than anything serious?

STATICMOTH (vox x valentino) i believe this one is canon! i don't really have any issues with this one, but i guess i don't have much of an opinion of it. i find it super fun and i love fanart that i see hinting/out right showing this ship. and i do like these two characters together, because i feel they complement eachother well.

RADIOSTATIC (alastor x vox) i love radiostatic!! i started off only really liking and consuming RADIOSILENCE (one sided, from vox's end), however that eventually just grew into me liking the ship fully. i believe there's a shitton of story telling potential with these two no matter how you look at it, and i think their canon interactions so far have been super-super fun to watch. i love all the fanart i've seen of them so far too!

LUCILITH (lucifer x lilith) we haven't seen much of lilith in the series but i do like the love story we've seen so far and i really like the dynamic of 'majestic woman' x 'goofy guy'. i think it's a sweet couple (based on what we've seen so far). and even if it isn't portrayed as a sweet couple in fanon, it's such great angst potential. i like lucilith.

CHARLASTOR (charlie x alastor) now, while i can recognize the appeal some people have have for this ship it just leave a gross taste in my mouth seeing that there's a whole song where she realises she's seeing alastor as a genuine father figure, even if alastor doesn't actually see her as a daughter figure. i have seen really nice art for this ship though!

I'm so over all the raddioapple stuff on my feed. Idk why it is so popular, it makes no sense and it's everywhere.

1) the only thing they've ever canonically done is fight. There is literally no connection besides their fighting over Charlie. (Which Alastor definitely has sinister alterior motives for doing)

2) Lucifer is married to and HEAD OVER HEELS for lilith. Her leaving literally sent him into a depressive spiral. Man's is the definition of devotion.

3) Aro-ace rep. Why does everyone always go after other people's representation? Alastor has never shown romantic intentions towards literally ANYONE and has shown multiple instances of being touch/sex repulsed. So, WHY DOES NSFW ALASTOR ART EXIST. I get that being asexual doesn't mean they can't have sex, but in this instance, it does.

Alastor x anyone makes zero sense to me and feels like people just think he's creepy and hot. Which is kinda stupid, like his haircut. Also, he is literally a serial killer and cannibal. He is psycho. There's plenty of other hot characters you can drool over. Who aren't Aro-ace rep.

Just clarifying that even though some of my top posts encourage shipping Alastor, I am very much so a hater in regards to that. Fuck RadioApple. All my homies hate RadioApple. Lucifer already has Lilith and Mr. Beast shut up. You already have enemies to lovers, you have CherriSnake, give that damn ship some more love, it surprisingly doesn't get much fanart, at least here, at least compared to other ships. God damn brother
