Happy Halloween, everyone! ^_^
I haven't done a new Dragon Rain in a while, and I promise it will come back eventually (I don't have a return date planned, but I'm definitely not done with this). In the meantime, I had a cute idea in mind after reading Ruri Dragon, myself - a real manga exactly as Lydia describes - and couldn't help but see some connections between Lydia and Ruri. (It's a very cute manga. I definitely recommend it!)
I also liked the idea of Lydia's bestie, Tiffany (as Vivian from Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door), making her first appearance post-comic with her own completely on the nose costume idea.
Rain is, of course, a Dragonite (a la, Pokémon), and Emily is Eiselin Hulkenberg (from Metaphor:ReFantazio, because I'm obsessed and couldn't just not reference the game somewhere here).
And the old woman at the door is… nobody, really. Just a generic extra I needed to make this comic work. I don't draw elderly people often, though, so I wanted to take the opportunity to practice.
I don't know where this one falls chronologically with the rest of the Dragon Rain storyline, so don't think too hard about it. Rain's at the same stage of her dragon transition as the last page but that scene's technically not done (there's a couple more pages planned). I suppose it could fall after that scene, but for now I'm just gonna call this a "Dragon Delay."
