The trick is right now   you are not looking under rocks and feet But the rainbows only you can see

You may think yourself clever But the universe sees a fool Searching in myths not muddy pools

  a usual mistake for those like you

While backwards to the inexperienced Your master is loved in pieces Gifts of grandeur are rarely received

  and  after many years of blind belief

Rocks and feet are dirty and common But stories and diamonds are always coming And while rainbows are fleeting disillusions

I have night mares Or rather, I wish I did Because maybe that would explain My fear of the dark 

Cracks in the screen of my existence Tears on the edges of my paper heart The quilt of my soul is unraveling Destruction of beauty; the synapse of life

My sleep is not plagued by three eyed monsters Nor horns on bulls dripping with blood  I dream of destruction by my own hands My life falling apart in inconsequential sequence

What must I do to fall asleep Not plagued by the fear of a morning to come And what must I do to wake up  Not plagued by the thought of a setting sun.

I’m afraid of who my mom will see When I walk through her door Will it be who she seeks To see once more? I’m afraid of who my dad will meet When I hug him once again Will it be the daughter he wants to keep Or will he shake is head in chagrin I’m afraid of the person I will see In the mirror encore Because that person is not me But maybe it’s a better score? I’m not afraid of my morals Or the smile that will shine But merely of the childish lorals I’ll have left behind I’m afraid to look in the water For the reflective surface to show Because I am not ready for the slaughter Of the person I once was till a short time ago.

Musical people are the best people. It's like they've got an extra piece of soul, and don't know what to do with it. So if your close enough to hear em, they give it to you. And if the type of people who think the best way to live is freely and openly, aren't the best type of people. Then I'll gladly hang out with the worst of them.

Here's to the coast guard children And the air force babies Here's to the uniformed forces offspring And the submariner's kids Here's to the teens who have to convince others their dad doesn't shoot people Here's to adolescents who can't tell their friends where their mom is stationed Here's to those who don't carry an Army tag and are proud. Here's to the troops of families who deal with telegrams and sifted emails. Here's to months of radio silence. To the kids who don't get Skype. To the kids who don't know what there parents are doing. To the kids who know EXACTLY what their parents are doing. And have to sleep with that knowledge. To the over looked dependents who struggle every day. Whose normal is hard. And who's struggle seems impossible. Here's to the brave little fuckers who can live their life without fan fair because to those in the outside only the Army exists. Here's to the marines' kids who annoy the crap out of the Navy brats. And the Air Force dependents who are always told they have it easiest. Here to the unarmed forces' children who do their duty. And to the coasties who never know what's gonna happen next. People think because your camo isn't green you don't exist. But to those who aren't aware. military Brats make up for a shit ton more than you think. And we all serve too. So whether it's presents from secret ports. Or private tours of fighter jets. Or first hand photos of natural phenomenons. Or an in house doctor whose seen more than they let on. We've got the life. We know what it's like. We don't need your pity. But how about stop looking at us and asking Iraq or Afghanistan. Stop asking how many guns my dad can shoot. And asking if I love war. Stop treating us as a joke because we don't wear dog tags. And thinking that just because you don't know a submarine from a buoy doesn't mean the don't hold nightmares of hundreds of children who just want to see their pops again. Cause my life isn't a Memorial Day special. And even if it was I bet you ten bucks you wouldn't guess the right branch.

This feeling in my chest

   is not quite hollow But rather a hole filled with silence    like pictures of storming seas Looks so silent but you know they couldn't be My cavity of held breath is not a volunteer But rather a hostage held by a melancholy night And I feel the soldier of my past   and future in come Stomping at the walls trying to increase the pain

I do not wish this horror on anyone Yet I envy those who know how to use it And sadness my dear friend I detest your visits but if you could continue? For my morbid fascination of your darkness is far to intriguing to hope you stop

Relentlessly Horribly Rudely Ugily How dare thee You ruin me. You ruin my life. You ruin my happiness. You ruin everything. With you comes nothing but bitter unhappiness and horrible, horrible things. Nothing good comes of you. How dare thee. You are unnatural. There is nothing natural about you. You are the wrench in the cogs. You are the smear of the painting. You are the disgrace to humanity. You are the disappointment of this earth. How dare thee. If not for you I would be happy. If not for you I would be everything. If not for you my life would not be riddled with memories I strive to forget. If not for you I would be able to look at my mother and not feel guilt. If not for you I would not be scared. How dare thee. How dare thee. How dare thee. You had no right. You have no right. You will never have the right. You miserable. Horrible. Disgusting.
