in which. darkstripe was appointed alongside spotted by bluestar. giving him not only insider info on bluestar for tigerstar and allowing him to use his power to cross over borders but giving him exact details on where to find yew to feed to unsuspecting kits! i believe that darkstripe really believed that he could be important and be helpful but neither he and spotted could talk to starclan and it drove him to find more solace in tiger + longtail and eventually resentment for both spottedleaf and bluestar instead of clawface killing spottedleaf it's darkstripe . and sandstorm hunts him DOWN when she finds out. darkstripe was blinded by selfish rage but acted out in cowardly ways. jayfeather was blinded (ahahah shoots that rainy) by rage for the injustice and hypocrisy of the stars and took it head on bonus round! spottedleaf killed thistle to keep her clan (and herself.) safe. she kept that secret to herself, and began to keep the secrets of everyone else. hollyleaf killed ash to keep her clan (and herself/her family) safe. she couldn't bare the weight of all the secrets, and laid the clan out bare to remove the strings attached to their relationships

mothwing took the silence of starclan as a sign they were never there at all. lionblaze takes the silence of starclan as a sign that they are scared of what they've created (the dark forest, those they've condemned)

for further context btw darkstripe and jay are not blood related (firegrey. greystripe wiggled his way into firesand's love life /hj) and that is a coincidence (some kinda hidden gray gene passed down through sandstorm or smth) but they are uncomfortably similar in some ways mothwing is the other mother of the three! kinda. technically. starclan mother mary'ed leafpool and cursed her to bare kits that vaguely looked like her girlfriend to "punish" her spottedleaf is their great-great grandmaw (aunt technically cause redtail was a single dad who worked two jobs who loved his girl and never stopped) and obviously! never got to meet them none of the healers ever talked to starclan (or thought they did.) and all of the three were "blessed" with it

boy oh boyyyyy it's time for rainy to talk about dream/the puppet's design! now because i'm still not sure of how this looks (in my ruinous quest to be original) this is all just doodles to get a feel for this specific design its inspos include the beldam's amazing bobinsky from coraline, ironically. pinocchio, automatonophobia, trypophobia & scopophobia, the beast from over the garden wall and the lub-glubs from adventure time

to understand the full scope of this freak i have to explain his origins a little the puppet is . as its name implies! a life-sized marionette modeled after both the late god of chaos and "its followers," the enderian people that exodus laid claim to. he was made from porcelain and filled with old string which he manipulates to form his ears, horns and tail through the cracks of his casing. his mask is made of pale oak and was carved and painted after his love for the circus it would follow as a young...thing. art project. it made it to come off as more approachable. the tears were added later on its eyes kinda just roll loose in his head. it makes an attempt at looking where it wants to (except for when he's hunting) as dream descends further into chaos in the duration of the valley's story, his casing chips away both from physical attacks (e.g. from tommy in the vault) and from the sheer intake of exodus's energy until the void starts to goop him up. as more of his shell falls off the less it's able to hold itself together

by the end of it all, the puppet is little more than spaghetti ! horrible ooze spaghetti. if you tried to grab it you'd come away with a handful of cold wires slick with oil, writhing and alive!!!!

from a rewrite standpoint of spirit tracks; zelda is expelled from her body and link is taken by byrne, leaving her stranded in the spirit realm (think like...the one from skyward sword, aesthetically) anjean, having been one of the lokomos/sages trapped there after malladus's imprisonment, gives her the spirit flute and teaches her how to drive the train. she goes on to save her kingdom despite the challenge (gameplay wise...instead of hearts you have force energy that can be drained when the body you possess faints/dies AND LATE GAME be stolen by poes, which you fight off with the lokomo sword) (because zelda can't touch physical things she guides companions to do it for her using the flute.) (lots more puzzles and less fighting...wisdom!)

heyyyy chat sorry it's been a while. got some cats for you today

tried my hand at that little design challenge where you have to draw these four and see how different your designs are bluestar and crowfeather aren't *too* out there (i was influenced by the latter days map back in the day and now nb crow is canon in my heart forever punches the air) but i ran with ash and cinder i made ashfur look more like his sister and mom (mama's boy...) and i couldn't leave out their beautiful blonde hair i gave crow a little variation to their eyes, to reference back to the journey the new prophecy cats took! cinderpelt is a redesign from my brighthowl's pack au where i wanted to make frostfur and her kits a little more genetically accurate bluestar doesn't stray very far from the norm, though i'm thinking of redesigning her soon!! i think i could work with different ear shapes/face shapes, but other than that i really like how these came out :3
