How to Get Away with Murder

Saw the pilot of How to Get Away with Murder and really liked it. Fair warning that it's pretty dramatic and sexually explicit (gay and straight) (I wouldn't recommend watching it with your aunt or anything) but overall I enjoyed it heartily. The cast is diverse, the plot compelling, and I liked some (but not all) of the cinematography. If you're a fan of dark, plot driven crime drama I'd recommend you at least give it a try.

"2 (o'clock)" 11.3.2011

So it's 2 o'clock

In the cold

Dark

Lonely Morning.

When the wind comes

Howling

Clanging my windows

Banging my shutters

Shut.

A thunderous boom comes from

Above

I'm running or the stairs

Or ... I am falling from a cloud

I am a person

Weak

Breakable

Human

Cringing from Pain

Or a raindrop hurtling towards Mud

Uncontrolable

But with a more than certain

Destiny.

There's comfort in that,

Is there not?

So it's 2 o'clock

And I still feel my shoulders tense

My fingers brush the walls

So white

And Pure.

I think I'm the victim

But that's Brain.

Justification comes easy

when lies float off the tongue

And off of Brain.

Survivor?

Or Enforcer?

Respected? Misunderstood?

Try fading.

Old news.

New fames.

Same games.

Different names.

So it's 2 o'clock

In the Heartless

Instinctual

Truth-revealing Morning

The storm is brewing

(Though I'm not sure where)

Memories trace "simpler" times

That were the same as now

I comtemplate

reanimate

Imitate

The Past.

My own personal witching hour.

So it's 2 o'clock

And I put on mascara

Because I don't want it to run

Down

My "Blameless"

Shameless

Nameless

Face.

"One" 11.1.2011

Trudging throught mounds of snow

On a warm summer's night

The frost begins to eat my toes

It's warm, even without light

And when it's blizzarding like this

The sun has never seemed so bright.

When the red and yellow leaves fall

The fresh buds begin to grow

As the cold starts to arrive

I slip in a puddle of melting snow

A final sunset begins a smile

Winter find's itself on death row.

Then there is nothing

Maybe just white and black

And in this colorless exsistence

I want the confusion of seasons back

Because everytime I stop and wonder

This fragile chaos starts to crack.

So it's 2 o'clock

In the cold
