Cool ways to make your sucky noodles better.
Part 1: flava
Replace the flavour packet with some other broth. Use broth cubes they're typically cheaper per litre. Add a dash of hot sauce or asian sauces. Put in some dried herbs. Put in some garlic paste. Experiment!
Flavour is generally increased with frying. This may be achieved using a pan or an oven of some kind. Fry vegetables and meat before you add them.
Sriacha mayo can be good on top. Try your favorite sauces. Make bbq bacon noodles. Make it yours. Claim your throne.
Part 2: Additions
Vegetables and meat. Or beans for you garbanzoheads. Shredded cabbage and turnips are traditional. I enjoy some matchsticked (very thinly sliced) carrots. Broccoli can't possibly be that bad. Especially in a chicken noodle.
Don't boil leftover chicken it gets even harder. Bacon bits are ok. Pork belly rolls are typical in japanese ramen. Fry any raw meat you may be putting it in.
Eggs are awesome. If you combine eggs and a starch slurry you can fry them in meat drippings to make fluffy scrambled eggs to put in the noodle. Alternatively a normal sunny side up egg. You can also drizzle beaten eggs into the boiling broth to make scrambled eggs (stir slow) or thick egg pulp (stir fast). Both options are yummy.
Part 3: Gimmicks
Fried noodles. Put the flavours in a beaten egg. Boil the noodles separate. Strain noodles and combine with flavored egg sauce. Fry into a large patty or omelette with some oil on a pan. Flip halfway through. Plate and sauce to perfection.
Buttered noodles. Put flavours and garlic paste in butter, fry fragrantly, add whatever hot sauces you like, some kind of sweetness. Turn off the heat eventually dont burn it. Add some starchy hot noodle water and stir to emulsify. Toss in noodles and serve.
Lunch noodles. If your workplace has a kitchen. Throw everything you want to boil into your lunch box. Empty into boiling water at lunchtime. Fry anything yummy you keep in the fridge or freezer. Get compliments (or try to coax them by slurping your noodles next to thebiggest conversation).
Part 4: spring onions
Get scissors or knife. Cut up a whole spring onion. Put the white part in the broth to boil. Put the green part on top as garnish after everything's set. You can use one or even two spring onions every time you eat a noodle. Trust.
