Ramn was turned before Ylva and wasn't included in her protection programing since "they were expendable." But Miranda should have made it clear to not see him as a threat, because on the first day of her job, she did as she was told and guarded the castle, and the suspicious flying type that had strung up a villager minutes before didn't look exactly non-threatening. Needless to say, Ylva got promoted to double shifts for a few days after their fateful encounter.

No way i'm actually doing something with these 2 lol.

For context, I based these 2 based on the canon run of re8, so if they did exist in re8 the way the events are played out they would have to face the wrath of Ethan and Chris eventually, but they would miraculously escape death far better than their moldy masters.

So when you only have each other, when your world as you once knew it is gone, bad blood tends to fizzle out eventually.
