We had another fire in my area yesterday while I was at work. What I thought was a couple miles from my house was as close as four blocks and ash coming down like snow flurries. If you live in an area prone to forest fires, earthquakes, tornados, flooding or other disasters make sure to have a plan. If you hike or camp in areas prone to fires, have a plan to get out or a place to hunker down that isn’t prone to fires or already burnt from a previous fire since it works as a natural fire break. After fires, be aware of rain as the areas become prone to flooding. I keep frozen water bottles in the freezer in case we suffer a power outage to keep it cold and reduce mildew growth since the ice is contained. Have a good weekend everyone and take care!
