So I threw together a blogspot a few years back, intending to give myself a place to put game design thoughts, but never got around to using it. Sometime last year though, I started to write down a lot of my miscellaneous game design ideas to better keep track of them in my head. Sometime this month I realized I had an even better place to put them than the wordpad on my laptop!
This one is about generating random books (or boom topics I guess) using the Dewey Decimal System. Did you know its basically just three d10 tables strung together? 'Cause I sure didn't! Not until a few weeks back when I was pondering how to make better "random" books for a library-dungeon my players were starting to delve. Hopefully someone else can get some use out of the idea too.
