Your treat is a small analogue camera. It's in very good condition, apart from a small burn mark right on the edge of the lens. There's a roll of film in it already but it's only halfway filled, so you can take lots of pictures still!
hello i am so in awe that you have collected all the pokémon games (i finished my collection of 3ds ones a bit ago but i considered a lot of the other ones out of reach) and i was wondering how long it took? i know especially the older remakes are insane to get so i’m super curious
(This got incredibly long i'm so sorry for the wall of text my guy)
In relation to this post
Hello there! :D
Believe me, I still can't believe it myself that I managed to pull it off considering who I had to get ahold of! Been happy dancing to myself ever since I got the last game~
God it feels like it was longer ago honestly, but I only really began trying to finish the Pokemon collection just a year ago! Had to check back in my DMs with my buddy, but the day I began to seriously search for the rest of the authentic generations was May 5th 2023, the day I discovered my copy of Platinum was a repoduction, ya watch ONE video regarding reals vs. fakes and it all went down from there when I looked over the ones I owned already, luckily Platinum was the only one who was fake ;w;
I had passively over the years been picking up games as I went, but from that day last year til recently I looked where I could for the games I was missing, to be fair I had about half the collection to begin with just from growing up and finding ones out and about, I only needed to find the pair of whatever I owned already, besides gen 5.... since I somehow never played gen 5 growing up. Funny enough I didn't have to look too far, every single game I found had all been local! Facebook marketplace saved me big time I just had to wait and compare prices til I was happy with what I was willing to pay for! I scrutinized every single copy I got my hands on and triple checked everything before I was satisfied XD
The 3DS titles were very easy to get thankfully, and the same goes for you too good on ya for getting your 3DS ones! Hardest for sure were gens 3-5, specifically ALL of gen 5 they are the WORST to get since no one wants to sell them and they're required to be able to move anyone forward to the 3DS and then to the Switch! I think It'd be easier to list who I owned and who I hunted for in the year of the search.
So I owned:
Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Leafgreen, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, X, Alpha Sapphire, Moon, UltraSun, Sword, Violet and Arceus (some I had gotten as gifts growing up and others I had gotten through yardsaling and thrifting by chance as I grew up, Emerald was 70 at a yardsale!)
The ones I got from the year of the hunt:
Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, Platinum, Heartgold, SoulSilver, Black, White, Black 2, White 2, Y, Omega Ruby, Sun, UltraMoon, Shield, Lets Go Pikachu, Lets Go Eevee (I DID own Eevee before but traded it in before the hunt) Scarlet, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl.
Now knowing who I had to get, we all know it costs a pretty penny, so I essentially sold things myself to fund the hunt, like my amiibos I didn't really need or want, a handful of random collectable things I picked up and kept over the years (notably a masterchief helmet from the legendary collection I got for free like 10 years ago lol) and some odds and ends I didn't need anymore and to declutter the home! I think out of my own pocket I only paid maybe 40 bucks total so I paid for everyone that way! It was all mostly luck finding everyone and keeping an eye on marketplace, and some of them I had gotten from folks I knew! Black and Black 2 actually came from one of my managers at work who sold them to me for insanely cheap, and Sapphire I got for free as I mentioned in the games post XD
If you do try to go for the complete collection, I say have a gameplan for how to pay and build that piggybank of funds, go for what you can afford! So if you see a game without a case thats usually better, you dont NEED a case or have a game CIB really, a bunch of mine dont have a case or box and I'm alright with that! Look locally at second hand stores, vintage ones, marketplace or any other local yardsale or fleamarket type thing you may have in your area, and I say this with caution, but if you HAVE to, you can consider ebay, but I strongly suggest not to when it comes to the games. I had originally tried to get a Brilliant Diamond copy from there and well, dude never sent it at all and got my money (ebay fully refunded me but that still bites). And finally get well versed in learning how to authenticate to the best of your abilities, 3DS and switch I don't think can be faked but everything else can be! I used this as my guide to figure out who was real and fake in my search and it worked very very well! Twas my bible of knowledge
Don't get scammed into purchasing a knockoff at an authentic cartridge's pricing.
End of the day it didn't take as long as one would think, but luck played a HUGE roll in this endeavor, I was smart with my money, and I was very very VERY stubborn and wanted them all XD
If you go for the complete collection like I did then I wish you the best of luck my friend! And thank you very much for the ask! It kinda got away from me while typing but yeah thats the story and process of how I got all the main series titles!
wait wait wait so you mean to tell me you say sauce like source???? -ultimate
mm yea p much! source is a lil uhh. idk deeper? slightly harder r? but theyre v v similar! it makes a lot more sense than sauce and loss rhyming imo hgjlfkjgd.
for the prompt how about…. siblings and appearance shifting!
Even with his mind on something else the secretary could hear the conversation in the principal’s office quite clearly. The shut door really didn’t make a lot of a difference. It made it rather hard not to listen. Especially since these were two of his favourite students.
“Alright, so first of all, you’re not in trouble.”
“Again.”
“Listen, last time you did deliberately shapeshift into each other to swap exams.”
“You can’t prove that.”
The secretary snorted softly at his paperwork.
“You’re right. I can’t. And I trust it will not happen again.”
“No, ma’am.” (This was spoken in unison. The rest of the time it was rather hard to hear which one of them was even speaking. Even their voices tended to start sounding more and more alike the longer you spoke to them.)
“Now, back to the present. While I realise that Ms. Penning’s suggestion of having you both wear buttons is both a bit childish and a little out of order, I do sympathize with her confusion. I know you cannot help your transformations most of the time, but it is really very hard to tell you two apart when we do not know what you look like at all.”
“Mister B. has no trouble knowing who we are.”
“Mr. Bardakçı has second sight, we are not all so lucky.”
“We are not going to wear name tags.”
“I am not asking you to, I merely want to have a conversation – together – about how we can make sure you two are comfortable and the teachers are able to do their jobs. So work with me here.”
There was a short pause.
“We could limit the frequency of our involuntary transformations by reducing stress.”
“That sounds like a good idea regardless of the transformational aspect. How do you propose we do that?”
“Cancel math.”
Another pause. This time considerably more tense. With the distinct pressure of two people holding in laughter and a third holding in unacceptable language. Behind his desk the secretary quietly sent a message to the principal’s next appointment, cheerfully telling them not to hurry.
i hope we’re still allowed to send these! a dragon shifter (they/them) and a crow shifter (he/him), who are best friends, with 5. showing off their favourite possession. (also if i’m allowed to add extra my main thought process of choosing these two was that they would both like the ✨shiny✨ so if that could be a thing please)
Galaxy, you are speaking my language!
“These I have had since I was just a chick. I know they are just glass but they’re still so pretty.”
The dragon nods in agreement, blinking at the gemstones cradled in their friend’s hands. The cut glass reflects the light in a dozen different twinkles and they can feel the pull of it flickering in their eyes. “My first hoard was the brass rings I stole off the living room curtains,” they confide.
Their friend laughs, shaking black down out of his clothes as he does. There are still feathers stuck in his hair. His transformations are always strangely messy. “Do you still have them?”
“Damn right I do.” They are hidden among things of far greater value, collected together in a special velvet pouch. A handmade birthday gift from their father, who reasoned that since the curtains were ruined anyway they might as well be put to good use.
“You have a lot of rings,” their friend points out.
“Mm,” they hum proudly, swirling a clawed finger through the small pile of glittering jewellery lying in front of them.
“Why do you never wear them?”
They shudder. “Shiny metals are for hoarding, not for wrapping around your skin.” Metal pressing against scales is a terrible, terrible thing.
“Pretty though,” he coos, letting the glass stones slide gently out of his hands to pick up one of his silver bracelets. His eyes gleam with smugness. “I stole this right out from under a magpie.”
The dragon snorts. “You mean your cousin.”
“Yeah I wonder when he’ll notice. Serves him right for taking my sugar tongs.”
“Still think you ought to have scorched him for that.” Touching someone else’s hoard uninvited is definitely a scorching offence as far as they are concerned.
“Och,” the crow chuckles. “The thieving’s half the fun.”
Thank you for sending in an application to be matched with one of our service dragons! Generally all our animals are of the “pocket dragon” variety, which tend to not get very big. A while ago someone brought in what we must assume is a crossbreed, however, because he is about the size of a Savannah cat. Because of this we have not been able to place him so far, but since you requested a bigger dragon, you two might be a perfect match!
Like most of our rescues we do not know his age, but he is an older adult with dark green scales. He has been nicknamed “Nanny” by his caretakers, because he’s in the habit of treating us all like hatchlings in need of chin-boops and reminders of a Proper Dragon Routine. This being the case, we think he might adapt to your needs very well.
He will have to get along with your parents as well as yourself, of course, so if you’re interested, perhaps you can make an appointment together. We hope you will!

PS. We have enclosed your application form below.
Service Dragon Application Form
Size: small but not too small maybe about big cat sized
Skills: helping me go to bed at a more reasonable time would be great, helping calm me down when i get to anxious or stressed would also be nice, and maybe helping me not procrastinate on things as much. also making me go outside even if it’s to just sit in the backyard would probably do me good
Personality: i’d definitely like a affectionate dragon but they’d also need to be able to push me to do things if i’m being stubborn and also be ok with just kinda hanging out in the same space
Living Situation: i don’t tend to do much besides school work and internet and occasionally going out for groceries and the like. i live in a small house with my parents and we have an also small backyard/garden

hi i just wanted to send an ask saying how much i love your patchwork fairytales podcast i know you’re nearing the end of your fairytales so i figured now is a good time as any to say how much i appreciate them they’re really good and it’s definitely one of my favorite podcasts so thank you for making them and it i’m excited to see where you’ll take the podcast after the fairytales are done i wish you all the luck on it i hope you have a good day! (also your writing in general here is awesome!)
Hi! Thank you so much, I’m really happy that you enjoy my stories so much. It means an awful lot to me <3
To keep the podcast going I think I’ll have to allow myself not to stick to a set schedule anymore, so I can distribute the work that goes into it better. But for my longer fantasy stories (some of them are nearly fairy tales, others full on urban fantasy) that are too long for posting on tumblr I would love to keep recording. I do love storytelling above all ^^
So thank you again, I hope you’ll keep enjoying everything that’s still coming on the blog and the podcast (the last two fairy tales are two of my absolute favourites) and as always, I’m always open to questions and requests 💜
