It kind of bothers me how this season is marketed as the "fun" season and how this season being so different from the original two is like a big selling point because I love the show BECAUSE of the first two seasons, I like the "two old guys sitting in a room trying to figure shit out" I like that it's been fucking depressing almost non stop, I liked the core themes, I liked the overall tone. I've really enjoyed the most recent teasers that have actually seemed to paint a accurate picture of what this season's tone will be because I was getting so worried that this season would be unfortunately very unserious and kind of obnoxious, but it seems like all of the ridiculous played up scenes that we've been shown will be presented with a decent amount of context that will dramatically shift how serious these scenes are and that the overall tone will align nicely with the previous two seasons. I completely understand changing things because we are switching between characters perspectives, I actually think it's a really good idea to have big difference in how narratives play out when there's a different narrator, but I think it has to be within reason, TVL should not feel like a completely different show, the only consistencies should not just be the characters and the background, core themes and the overall tone should carry through and it's very exciting that it seems like that's what they are doing. (Just to clarify if it wasn't clear I am so down for Lestat not having the same narrative structure, his flash backs and journey though his story not appearing in a linear narrative is so interesting to me and it's definitely something I hope they do, I think that's one of my favorite parts about Louis' journey, I loved it when we jumped around a bit in the timeline it kind of feels more engaging as the audience to also get to try to piece together the story instead of it just being told to you, and the reveals that jumping around in the timeline accomplished are absolutely delightful and a total highlight of the show, it was so fun to come out of one episode with a rough idea of how things played out and then have everything you assume flipped on its head and that made the show very re-watchable. That sort of messed up timeline was something I adored in the first season of the Witcher, watching through and progressively getting more confused about when everything was happening was very enjoyable, granted I sometimes found it a bit frustrating in the Witcher but I have a feeling TVL won't be nearly as confusing, I assume we will have a pretty good understanding of when certain events played out in relation to eachother and that we'll know before the last episode when all most of the flashbacks occurred. And I think Lestat's season having a it's own version of the intro is also great, I think it would also be really cool to see the title card in purple or green instead of red, but keep the same font and the same skyline visual idea. That being said I am kind of disappointed about the titles, I think I wouldn't be nearly as disappointed if all of them were tour locations because then it would feel like a consistent fun thing that aligned with Lestat's specific story but the occasionally cool ones feels like it's teasing me, one episode with a really interesting title and then the next episode is titled fucking "Toronto", BABES PLEASE BE INTERESTING OR DON'T BE! DON'T PLAY WITH ME LIKE THIS!!!!)
