HAIR DOES NOT GROW THAT MUCH IN A YEAR! IT’S ALMOST DOWN TO HER ELBOWS that shit takes YEARS! I have short hair and if I grew it for a year it would get just past my shoulders. listen guys, i love to criticize the government as much as the next passionate politcally-involved teenager

but really we need to start focusing on how were gonna fix the shit show that the government is leaving for our generation

its really no longer a question of whether or not the government is capable of solving problems with the power that the citizens of the united states give them. because the answer is no, they cant control their egos enough to treat each other with respect to come to a compromise.

the question now is are we going to stand by and let them point fingers at each other till the country breaks? or are we going to come up with solutions to fix ourselves. because we sure as hell cant trust the government to do it. and if they wont, who else will?

just use people's pronouns. for the love of god. you lose nothing by doing it and gain nothing by refusing to. you can respect the way someone chooses to define themselves, without fully understanding the reasons why they see themselves that way. the fact that it does you no harm whatsoever just makes it easier. then these fuckers have the audacity to turn around and say things like, "why are identity politics even an issue when we should be focusing our energy on more important things like science and economics". because we haven't figured out basic interpersonal respect yet. because you're refusing to do people the simple fucking courtesy of saying they or he or she, instead of whatever gender they appear to be biologically. the thing that really gets me is that most of the time it's purely out of malice (note the classic arguement, "at what point does your right to define yourself in a way that makes you feel comfortable infringe upon my right to call you whatever the fuck i want"). we get it. you have the right to be an asshole. what do you gain from it? is making other people feel like shit really what it takes for you to be self-satisfied? christ.
