That was a rough one. R.I.P. to Big Moose, David Thomas, David Lynch and Vital Weekly. Music continues to be the balm, whether through the potent blasts of Rapid Dye and Iron Lung, the scorched scrapyard noise of Jason Crumer and Ieskadulla, or the immersive, arresting Pictures of the Warm South. And while it's true that Musical Chairs feels like an instant classic many months on (esp. tracks 3-10), it's also true that my daughter memorizing, singing along with and requesting "Lasso" and "Red Convertible" throughout the year pushed it over the top.

Writing will become more regular again soon, very soon, and a radio show at Radio KCM is in the works. Stay tuned, and thanks for reading.
