The Russian president Putin continues his saber-rattling, this time proposing a "high-tech duel" to the West.
During a televised Q&A session, Putin boasted about Russia's "Oreshnik" missiles, claiming they are impossible to intercept.
He proposed a challenge: to target Kyiv with Russia’s missiles while the West uses its full air defense systems to test their effectiveness.
The suggestion, bizarre as it sounds, ones again exposes the brutal nature of the Russian regime, openly adhering to the logic of war crimes and showing complete disregard for human life and international law.
every day i think about children deported from occupied territories to ru*sia. entire orphanages moving out, kids with parents, kids who just lost their parents. they will be subjugated to the worst propaganda that is out there. anything ukrainian will be stripped off them. they will be taught about great rus*ian saviors, insinuating favourite ru*sian narrative of ukrainians being inferior. i think about tens if not hundreds of thousands of these kids and i become physically sick. i sincerely hope they will not forget about their past lives and there will be a way out - back to ukraine.
Kinda funny that “collective guilt” is still treated like some hysterical faux-pas height of anti-intellectualism because the only reason this view persists is that if the notion of entire societies and cultures being guilty for producing monstrous systems caught on that might mean we, as in I, you, and your grammy, are responsible for there being evil in the world, and gee golly does that idea give one’s stomach an ouwie.
The body of Yevgeny Matveyev, the mayor of the city of Dniprorudne in Zaporizhzhia, who was tortured in captivity, was returned - OVA.
The Russians seized the settlement at the end of February 2022, and later took its leader Matveyev prisoner. The Russians held the official for 2 years and 8 months and tortured him. The body was returned to Ukraine during the last exchange.
Yevgeny Serhiyevich was a true patriot, not indifferent to the fate of his country and his community. Always worked with people and for people, listened and helped everyone who needed it. He was strong-willed and principled. During the occupation, he did not leave the city or the people, he did everything to ensure the life of the community, constantly informed the population about and supported.
3,798 educational institutions in #Ukraine have suffered from #Russian bombing and shelling, with 365 of them completely destroyed, according to the Ministry of Education and Science.
#Russia claims it only targets military objects in our country, but this is a blatant lie.
We visited the village of #Pokrovske in #Dnipro Oblast and saw with our own eyes one of the schools destroyed by Russian troops.
