🍪 what did you want to be as a kid, and what do you want to be now?
i wanted to be a hunter. like my mom and pop... they were... amazing. i’ve never seen anyone work together like they did. and they were so in love... they taught us everything they knew -- we learned a few things ourselves along the way. but they also taught us the important things...
...family, honesty, loyalty, courage, justice.
look, i know that kids are supposed to want to be astronauts, or firemen, or doctors, or... well, whatever. but the truth is, you want to be those things because you believe in them or what they stand for... the spirit to step into the unknown, the bravery to plunge into the fire and save a life, the caring hands to heal hurts... but my folks? they were all of those things. i didn’t really need to look anywhere else to find a hero to idolise... or values to inspire me.
hurting the people i love...
🐝 what’s your worst trait? how are you planning to improve it?
it’s still fresh, and... tempting... to fall back into that status quo where nothing mattered other than... killing. i was... angry. at everything. at the world. at the vampires and werewolves and witches. mostly... at myself... so the solution was pretty simple. or it seemed that way at the time. but in the end... i almost lost everything because of it.
so now... when i get angry, i remember... that feeling. how easy it was. to fall into that dark space. but i also remember, who pulled me back from it and the promise i made. so i’m planning on keeping that promise. on remembering why we came here in the first place. to try to find somewhere where things can be... different.
