Y’know, I was reading an absolutely adorable dad!Boreas' and Razor fic and then after looking at Tumblr saw all those “everyone hates MC” posts.

So how about Razor!MC who is hated by Mondstadt? Not the wolves, Boreas, Varka or Venti, but the people?

Imagine if the people of Mondstadt considered Razor!MC a omen, or a creature in human skin, and someone tries to off them for the 'safety' of Mondstadt's citizens...

Boreas is not please about this attempt, and makes it known. Probably ends up nearly having a falling out with Varka and Venti for this crime, and takes Razor!MC away from human civilization.

You could hear the enraged yelling from Varka as he yelled at the people, along with a not to gentle storm building up above the city as a stone face Venti tries to hold back his own rage.

Fem razor idea

I just get the most random ideas so enjoy fem razor!mc and she is 16.

Fem razor who dies young in a fire. Gets reborn as a little baby girl and boreas finds her after finding her seemingly abandoned. He feeds her some of his blood to help her heal from being alone for hours and starving, this affects her appearance. She has a long fluffy wolf tail and ears that she can put down to make it seem like it’s just hair. She is a very cute kid. She is very little and likes to play fight with the other pups in her pack. Her dad is very involved and doesn’t let her out of his sight. Covers her in his scent and is very overprotective. She is such a sweetheart to her pack and they genuinely worry that someone might hurt her, so the area they live in is not very welcoming to humans as a precaution. Venti one day catches a glimpse of a little girl running in the forest and playing with wolves and goes to boreas for answers. He just says she is his daughter, razor!mc is only around 6 years old. Venti just tries to get boreas to let her go to the human world but he refuses to let her go alone. 2 of the wolves volunteer to go for her. Venti has varka come with him when they meet the daughter of boreas. Varka finds her adorable and is trying to not pick her up but the urge is so intense.

They take the little girl to mondstat and she is a huge hit. Everyone loves the little girl and call her the wolf maiden. Everyone looks out for her and is aware of her wolves. At night when you hear the wolves howling in mondstat people say it’s the wolf maiden’s father calling her back home. She visits her dad constantly but her dad understands she is very curious about the human world and supports her. The ladies in mondstat like to dress her up in bows and dresses and the wolves that are by her always approve and even let themselves get dressed up with bows. All for their little pup. Boreas finds it cute too and loves seeing her look so cute. Out of a desire to be involved in his daughter’s life he has a human form so mondstat regularly sees a handsome tall man carrying around razor!mc. Boreas is taller and bigger than varka but muscular. It’s hard not to stare especially when the father and daughter duo have their tails and ears out. This causes a problem when the other nations that are vaguely aware of boreas in his wolf form, now wanting to see his human form. They are roaming mondstat to catch a glimpse of him and all this attention is scaring little razor and that is unforgivable in the eyes of the citizens. Venti has to intervene before boreas did something violent. Varka has a crush on boreas and all the other knights are trying to be his wing man but fail to get him to confess. This is over the course of years and everyone is happy.

When the traveler and others visit mondstat, they witness the wolf god boreas and his daughter dancing. Varka has already gone to nod krai but him and razor still write letters. Boreas also writes letters. Boreas has feelings for varka and plans to confess when varka’s mission is over. Razor!mc helps the traveler. They stay in mondstat after the traveler leaves.

When it gets to nod krai razor is worried about her father figure and boreas and her go to see the knights. They were concerned about the abyss. The ratniks are terrified of boreas when they meet him for the first time and are shocked that sweet razor is his daughter. They think she is scary when she rips up abyss mages with her claws. Varka is happy to see them. After everything is done and the fighting is done, boreas takes varka to private place and confesses to him. Razor and the traveler and Paimon are secretly watching and are excited.

Lohen and razor play fight and she scratches him with her claws. He loves to see that she has improved in her attacks. They all head home to mondstat and live happily together as a family.

I have no idea for a love interest for Razor!mc so you can pick if you want.

Female Razor!MC sounds so cute! So fluffy! And then you added a human version of Boreas, and this idea became even better! 🤩

Also, uh... you mentioned Boreas is bigger and more buff than Varka... do you think he's the top in the relationship? 👀🤭

And aa for pairings for Female Razor!MC... honestly, I'm a sucker for Bennet being paired with her. They're just so cute together, and no one can hate clumsy but pure hearted Bennet.

Bennett and Fischl could visit Nod-Krai under the pretence of asking Varka for help “convincing the Wolf of the North” to return to Mondstadt! Of course, the two are only using the official reason as an excuse. Oo, they could come across a Wolf!Razor!MC on their way to the Favonius Keep - either in a cuddle puddle with other wolves or fightig off the Wild Hunt to protect the two - and just think that this is a nice wolf spirit, only to find out that this is the supposed “monster” from Mondstadt. Of they had any trust/belief left for Mondstadt regarding this, the place has just lost it, because what do you mean this nature obsessed wolf-child is a “shapeshifting monster that plans to kill the people of Mondstadt”?!

Yeah, La Signora is taking her role as big sister very seriously here. (Boreas is just as happy - he has his dead-son’s mate/his daughter back, and Varka (his older could-be cub) here as well - and their all in Nod-Krai/Amsvartnir, his birth place and original home.)

Varka is protective and furious. The child he promised that they’d be safe in Mondstadt was hurt there - had been repeatedly discriminated against even before the murder attempt and he hadn’t noticed. The Grandmaster is drafting many strongly-worded letters to the Knights of Favonius and the Church, all basically boiling down to “What the fuck is wrong with you? That is a child that I introduced quite clearly as Boreas’ cub. Who let these rumours go unchecked and who allowed this?”

Jean better not have anything to do with the attack and discrimination, or else she’ll have to step down as Acting Grandmaster. Oh god, how is Barbara taking this? She’s incredibly focused on being a good deaconess, did she take part in the discrimination or did Mondstadt do something similar with her as they did Bennett and Fischl? What about Dahlia? Amber?

Oh damn, what do the Lightkeepers and general Nasha Town inhabitants think about this? The Knights do drink often and heavily, keeping secrets is a bit difficult when inebriated. Varka is also friends with Flins - who could tell Illuga, who’ll tell Nikita, etc. (Perhaps new rumours in Nod-Krai about a returned wolf god with a hurt godling? No monster rumours though)

And yeah, Razor!MC at tea parties! The Fatui grunts just have to deal with two massive fuck-off wolves showing up at the Research centre every week. (Wait, where did that kid come from and why is the Fair Lady calling them her sibling? Since when has she had siblings? Did that wolf just talk?)

The wolves are less aggressive towards the Fatui now - unless they get close to Amsvartnir, then they get aggressive the closer they get - and even occasionally help fight against the Wild Hunt. The smaller of the two massive wolves shows up just as often as the claymore-wielding kid does.

Ok, so the thing about Jean and Barbara, along with the Knights still in Mondstadt along with the Church, part of me wants to say it was a misunderstanding, that they've been trying to stomp out the rumors... but what if paranoia and suspicions override everything?

Like maybe s situation with the Abyss happens... and all evidence pointed towards Razor!MC, and for the safety of Mondstadt, Jean had to do what she thought was BEST for her nation. Because as much as she trusted Varka's words... people can make mistakes.

He could've made a mistake about that... creature.

'It' had to be dealt with accordingly-

Cut to an enraged Boreas destroying parts of the city before taking the 'creature' away, and then Venti arrives, and Jean thinks he was going to go after the traitorous Wolf god! Cause he was helping that 'creature'! Oh no... what if Boreas had been contaminated with the Abyss so that's why-

The happy Venti the Bard ceases to exist... and an enraged Barbatos the Anemo Archon takes his place.

...Sides that, everything was going well in Nod Krai! Razor!MC was happy, so that's all that matters, right?

Really, people can be so short sighted at times. Oooo, does Boreas save Razor!MC from the attack? The citizen(s) attempting to kill them suddenly come face to face with an absolutely furious Wolf of the North. Immediately finding out they fucked up by attempting to kill his child.

Hmmm...

Perhaps Boreas, Razor!MC and the wolves go to Nod-Krai/join Varka on his expedition there while Venti deals with Mondstadt's actions? They can stay in Amsvartnir. Boreas can tell Razor!MC about their grandmother!

(Ouch though, Barbatos doesn't show for 5 centuries, only to appear to yell at the Mondstadters for hurting his nibling.)

What about Signora? In the lore she was in a relationship with Rostam, one of the Knights of Boreas (acknowledged by the wolf god, not just ceremonial title). Perhaps she goes to check out this wolf child only to be called big sister for her ties to Rostam. (I mean, come on, he was literally called the Wolf Pup - what are the chances that Boreas doesn't tell his cub about his (long dead) older brother and his mate?) If you listen to Arlecchino's voice lines about Signora you'll know that she'd be all over a younger sibling - especially one with actual ties to her lover.

What would her reaction be to this happening to Razor!MC?

Yep, don't worry, Boreas does end up saving Razor!MC in time before taking them away to safety and then moves them plus the rest of the wolves in Mondstadt over to Nod Krai. Because if the humans of Mondstadt don't want the wolves around, much less Boreas' pup? Fine. Then he'll give the humans what they want.

And yeah, ouch to Mondstadt seeing it's Archon after 5 centuries and he's tearing into their asses over HIS nibling! And Mondstadt is going bug eye, cause HIS nibling! That thing-

Cut to a more violent storm kicking up cause who the hell called Razor!MC a 'thing'?!

And La Signora! Oh, I love the idea of her meeting Razor!MC! Say, maybe because of this, she doesn't go to Inazuma, meaning she doesn't get offed by the Shogun!

I'm not hjaking the idea!! I'm just… taking control of the console for a bit…

Anyways, Razor!MC and for his possible origin!

Here me out…

Dottore's son who he made BUT… he ADORED Razor!MC. Like Dottore, the real one, was always with him, the segments visited as much as possible too. The Fatui don't know he has a kid. Overall, Dottore and his segments are protective and feral/insane over him(PLATONICALLY!!!!).

But… Razor!MC was sick, badly… so Dottore did ANYTHING to find a cure for his son, putting the boy in stasis except and he did! He found one! And it even had the cute little side effect of his son turning into a wolf pup on ocasion. Dottore's red, STARRY eyes always softened at his son's own STARRY eyes.

Dottore had grown up in Khaenri'ah as a kid but it was destroyed and he fled to Sumeru and getting taken in.

He had often sung the songs he could remember that came from Khaenri'ah.

Then an incident happened. 

He had taken his son, his adorable little baby boy, to a lab as an annual check up. Never the same lab, never the same place, he only trusts his home to be safe for his son, but even then. 

But the worst thing imaginable happened. 

A segment had gotten corrupted, had thought itself above the others, above the original, DOTTORE. That Segmant had made the home a ticking time bomb and Dottore could only watch too late.

His son was gone, and that Segmant did not survive, nor would it ever be recreated.

Dottore!MC did not know how Razor!MC survived, nor would he even hear a hint about the boy until perhaps years in the future, or perhaps he never does, it's all up to fate.

Sooo… little explanation/summary… Dottore grew up in Khaenri'ah but it was destroyed when he was a kid, then he fled to Sumeru, got expelled, left, made his son, but Razor!MC was really sick, Razor!MC was put in stasis and Dottore found a cure which also had the side effect of Razor!MC being able to turn into a wolf, then an attack happens and Razor!MC is thought to be dead in the destruction/chaos of it all.

Now this part is a little iffy and wishy washy. It's a what if add on, doesn't even need to happen.

But essentially when Dottore's lab was destroyed/blew up, a young Segmant sacrificed itself to protect Razor!MC. In the destruction, Cyno's parents found the boy.

They assume him a victim of Dottore's experiments, and they took him home. They were in awe of his starry eyes and introduced Cyno to him.

Cyno was attached, like really attached, often toddling around whoever was carrying Razor!MC.

Razor!MC was even given a little bracelet, because Cyno's parents knew how a necklace could be dangerous in a fight. The bracelet had different beads, no two beads were the same, and it had a jackal head charm. 

Cyno had a matching one and the young boy even made a vow, he would protect Razor!MC, he would always follow him, no matter what. Razor!MC's safety above all else, and his happiness was a top priority. 

This was of course said childishly but that's the gyst of it.

But once again, peace cannot last.

Cyno and Razor!MC were sacrificed, sold by their so called parents to the temple.

The two were expirimented on and then one day, the people took Razor!MC once again to another testing however… they did not bring him back. 

Cyno raged for days, biting, clawing, screaming for his brother. 

They did not bring Razor!MC back.

That's it for Cyno's part!

Now if we wanted these ideas individually…

Dottore's would go the same way except he and Razor!MC aren't Khaenrians. Cyno's would go the same way except that thing with the parents finding him and taking him in never happen (he would be their bio child in that au) and the people at the temple were the ones who gave him the ability to turn into a wolf. For Khaenrian au… I'm kinda thinking he's either a random child or a child of one of the Khaenrians (the sinners, the two Fatui ones [though he would be Pierro's grandchild], and dainsleif) and in either version he was sent hurtling through a moon gate which messed with his genetics and such so now he can turn into a wolf.

Personally I like it when all three are mixed together (wait a minute… DOTTORE as one of the sinners/Dainsleif's/Capitano's child/Pierro's grandchild!!! but that's if you want it to be that way!) sooooo…

That's the ideas and what ifs!! I did all three ideas HEHEHEHEHE!!!!

I'm sleepy so I don't know if this was all coherent but what do you (Quiet) and 🐸 Anon think?

No pressure for any of these though! Now back to my current works!

Baby Razor!MC suffered so much in such a short time, the hell- 😭

First with being seperated from Dottore, then eventually seperated from his adopted older brother! Can our wolf pup catch a break?!

MC was loved by his parents, but they were always so busy with their work they barely had any time for him. He’d been trusted to survive on his own since shortly after he was tall enough to reach and learn how to use the microwave. (His parents adored their son, but they had to keep food on the table and electricity on and couldn't afford a house-sitter until he could go to school. They hated their neglect, but least they could do is meal prep and make sure he didn’t have to use the stove.) MC was fascinated by the forest the town he lived in was next to, and spent as much time as possible as he could there, running between the trees, identifying the various animals and plants he came across, etc. He spent almost his entire childhood in the forest, and when he grew up decided to become an animal and wilderness conservationist and ranger.

A side effect of having a rather isolated childhood was that MC was quiet. Not because he was timid or didn’t know how to speak, but just because he didn’t want to - in the forest, talking meant noise, and noise meant less animals. His quietness often made people think he was mute, which he didn’t mind - he knew more of animal behaviours and interactions than human ones. Another habit that MC picked up by constantly being in the forest was that he tended to swear on nature and weather instead of gods or higher beings (Honestly, I just thought this was funny.)

MC was killed when he attempted to stop poachers from targeting a wolf pack in his forest. He managed to chase them off and save the wolf pack, but was bleeding out from multiple gun shot wounds the poachers inflicted on him. The last thing MC saw before closing his eye one final time was the wolves he had saved coming up to him and encircling him, keeping his dying body safe. The cubs curled up next to him and he died with a smile.

MC opens his eyes to a forest glade at night. He doesn't recognise the trees, the flowers and (most disconcertingly,) the stars. Worst of all, he is unable to move properly, and when he manages to turn his head to the side he sees a pudgy baby's hand where his should be. The baby's hand was his he realised after a few seconds for his brain to restart. Where was he? What had happened? The last thing he remembered was… was… He was missing something his death. Oh stars, had he been reincarnated? But why was he on his own in the forest? Where was his family? What h- that was a wolf. Several wolves. And MC was a baby. This was bad. They had no way to leave or de-escalate the situation. They were a baby, not even a toddler, so what could they do?

A strange feeling overcame his body - and with it a transformation. He were still on his back, but his eyesight had suddenly gotten better. They could see better and further. MC's body felt strange, the blanket he was in itched, rubbing against his fur his what the wrong way, and hishead no longer wanted to look at the sky, instead falling flat against the ground, having them look at the world upside down.

The wolves paused in their approach. Where a human pup had just been there was now a wolf cub. A young wolf cub. Where was it's pack? Why could it look human? The cub was so small, with spiky and fluffy gray fur, and eyes as red as blood. The pack looked at each other in confusion, not noticing the most reckless of them sneakily making his way to the now-cub. The wolf tilted his head in confusion at the cub and nosed it over onto its stomach. The cub smelt of no pack - not even a human one. All he could smell on it was the forest, the dampness of rain and some plant life he didn’t recognise. The cub whined in distress - calling out for its pack, for safety. The pack was alerted by the noise and stood to attention, waiting to see if any other human-wolves showed up for their cub. There was nothing. The wolves eventually decided to bring the strange cub to Wolf-King Boreas - perhaps he knew what to do with a small cub that could turn human?

Boreas was surprised when one of his packs came to his den with a cub that did not smell of Mondstadt, but was too small to have survived a long journey from afar. He listened to the wolves tell him of what they saw, curiously eyeing the little cub. He looked so small. Anything could kill him. MC being in cub-form when brought to Boreas made the Wolf-King much more accepting of him, even protective of the child.

Razor!!MC getting his name goes roughly the same, with just a few differences. Razor!MC had gotten injured in wolf-form (still a cub, but a little older - just apply human aging to wolves) when Varka came across him. His pack was there with him and were wary of Varka going near MC (especially with his injured leg), but trusted him a little as the Knight of Boreas. Varka manages to convince the pack that he can help Razor and heal his cut, and the pain of the antiseptic he uses startles MC into his human form (That, and MC gets a good look at Varka and recognises him - Oh shit, the name Boreas is not just coincidence, he’s in Teyvat and that is the Grandmaster of Favonius ohmystarsI’mRazorWhy).

Varka is stunned at the sudden child, but hides it well when they pack gets very defensive, growling and baring their teeth, ready for an attack. Luckily, the Knight manages to deescalate the situation. He names Razor!MC the same way he named Razor in-game, but unlike his canon counterpart, Razor!MC is much more integrated with the wolves and even less interested in Mondstadt. Boreas is also overprotective and won’t let Razor!MC leave the wilds without at least three other wolves with him. The first sight of Razor!MC in Mondstadt is probably Varka with a wolf-cub in his arms with several wolves following him. (The Northwind is very strong that day.)

(Also just had a funny scene of people thinking Razor can’t talk or read, only for him to get fed up at some people saying stupid shit and insulting them flawlessly, criticising their clothes, their hair, their love life and their ability to think. Only to go back to silence and animal vocalisations after.)

I had Razor!MC not have any memories before the wolf pack for a reason (excluding his life as MC). That being I can't decide whether to make him Cyno's brother, Dottore's son, Roland's son, a Khaenri’ahn, or combinations of these.

Heheheh~ reading this made me do a little happy dance in my seat! 🥰

A Razor!MC is already amazing but one where he can turn into a literal wolf pup AND is adored by Boreas? That was the wolf's pup, there!

And adding to that, Razor!MC is smart! Lol, I can already imagine the sheer shock on those jerk's faces when Razor!MC insults them all with the most brilliant words that even makes Kaeya go "Oh my-", and he goes about his business like nothing happened.

I like your idea about Signora not going to Inazuma! I was originally thinking of this happening pre-canon (with Venti being awake earlier), so Razor!MC is an even cuter wolf cub, but during works too! The Traveller will definitely not be pleased with Mondstadt, because seriously, that is a child. Oo, what about Bennet and Fischl? They tend to be a group, no?

Maybe Signora recognises Boreas’ reaction to Razor!MC getting hurt as similar to his reaction to Rostam dying? And then she hears that the Wolf of the North has left Mondstadt for Nod-Krai, AND that the Anemo Archon has shown himself to rage at his people? Well, now she has to see what is going on.

Only to come across a smaller Boreas (Razor!MC) playing with other wolves in Amsvartnir and finding out that the so-called “monster” from the Mondstadt rumours was in fact her (kind-of) baby sibling. (If Venti doesn’t kill whoever hurt Razor!MC, Signora the Fair Lady, Crimson WItch of Flames Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter Beloved of Rostam will.)

I feel like because of some unfortunate timing, mostly because of paranoid Mondstadtians and adventurers, Bennet and Fischl never had the chance to meet Razor!MC, but I feel like they would be suspicious of the rumors, so they wouldn't believe it unless they see the so-called monster.

Maybe Varka somehow gets them to Nod Krai and they actually meet Razor!MC in a calmer, kinder setting?

Sides that, yay, La Signora lives in this au! And also, yeah, if Venti doesn't end up killing the haters... then La Signora might come in to finish the job.

And awww~ Razor!MC at tea parties? That would be cute~ And protective Varka? YES. Gosh, imagine what his expression was when Boreas, the wolves, and Razor!MC showed up in Nod Krai. Because what the hell was his people thinking?! His knights?! Did Jean actually allow this?! The church?!

…Boreas showing up to a Harbinger’s meeting with a wolf Razor!MC and Cyno (both covered in ash and grinning (they’re like this: >:3) hanging from his mouth, dropping them at Dottore’s feet, giving him and the cubs a look™ before turning around and leaving.

Razor!MC turns human to give his dad a hug before tackling Cyno into a play fight, Dottore is pretending nothing out of the ordinary is happening, the palace workers are freaking out about there having been a giant wolf-god-thing in the palace, and the Harbingers are baffled. Wait- is that the fucking General of the Mahamatra Il Dottoreexplainthisnow (He does not explain)
