I went for a run today straight after work, which is why my steps are so high as I'm moving around quite a lot at work. I also walked a bit this morning with the dog and to the doctors.
So the path that I usually run on was closed today. I had to run on the path right next to a busy road, the one that leads into the city where I live😂 Oh dear lord that was not fun. It definitely made me run and not give up at any point though…. that lovely feeling of being watched! But!! Look at my time! I know it’s not amazingly quicker, but I tried to aim for pace rather than distance today! (Ahh well I’m proud of it even if no one else thinks it’s impressive!) I'm really trying my best and that's all I can do at this point until I can build up my endurance.
Edit: I forgot to say that I had to go to the doctors today to get a repeat proscription of my pill and whilst I was there I decided to weigh myself. I've actually gained 2kg recently. But I'm feeling really good about my body since I've started taking running more seriously. I've felt and measured thinner than I was before for example my waist was at 28 inches I'm now down to 25 inches. I'm never going to go back to what I was before when I had an eating disorder. But I'm happy and I don't even care about gaining the weight 😊
Day one done of Couch to 5k. It looked like it was going to rain, and the wind was against us. But we still did it.I struggled to get back into my stride, but having someone with me was a huge motivation to just get on and keep going. I found myself forgetting that I was running with trying to keep our motivation up. We’re going out again on Friday which gives me a couple of days to rest up and do some stretching. I would recommend if you don’t have a buddy to run with to get one, it’s such a motivational boost and it’s fun to just get out and chat. My only complaint is that next time I’m going to switch to a different app as this one wasn’t as good as ones I’ve used in the past.
Day 4/365
I didn’t want to run today. I’d worked two days. I was tired I was happy relaxing at home. It was cold today. It was lunch time and I hadn’t eaten yet. My usual running buddy is agin unable to come as she was sick today. - I had all the excuses to not run today. But I still got dressed, I still got up and got my butt out of the door. I’m soooo glad I did it. After we popped into store on the way home as the puppy had been such a great runny buddy I decided she deserved a treat :D But you know?! I’m just so happy with how much easier it is to run, I still had to keep making my body work harder to push myself to tell myself I only had a little bit left to go! But I did it!!
