I just really wanna see a documentary on the Van Der Linde as though they were real life people, and whose only documentation was through the pages of Arthur’s journal, some wanted posters, and the small side quests Arthur did being able to be traced back to him. Basically, thanks to Arthur’s drawings and entries, their legacies are able to live on.

People start doing DNA tests and jokingly recreating the Van Der Linde gang with mini reunions on the internet.

Man… this makes me wanna draw people who look vaguely like the gang recreating this image in modern times…

(Also because I love the idea of there being gay ass drawings of Charles in the book and historians being like: “they were great friends”)

I love all of the campfire songs in rdr2 but something I think about sometimes is that Pearson and Javier has learned of these songs FOR their friends. No doubt that they knew some of them already, especially Pearson seeing he travelled a lot, but Javier probably didn't know a lot of the english songs because he didn't know english.

You can find Pearson playing the song Home Dearie Home with Sean, which is also known as Ambletown and is about Amble the town in England, and when I heard it I wondered how Pearson knew it.

While he traveled far and wide with the American navy, he couldn't have learned all songs in the universe, and a sad song about an english town might not be one they sang. It is possible that Pearson learned it for Sean, learned it for a friend.

It is one of those small things that makes it really seem like a family.
