Nearly done re-learning all the vocab and extremely basic grammar I used to know before my brain fog hit me like a train 🤔
This is a shout out to everyone re-learning things whether it's languages, instruments or any other hobby or skill 💖
Finding connections to increase biodiversity.
The impetus to start a blog, which ended up being mostly a species identification blog, came for me particularly after reading more into permaculture as a philosophy and way of life. One of the main resources we can acquire and use when trying to set up a self-sustaining system is information, so let’s read and write about all the plants I grow or encounter, I thought to myself. Maybe one of my posts will help somebody find that species, exotic for their location, which would perfectly fill a spot in their food forest or garden, who knows! In the meantime I learn for myself and share it. But I do realise presenting plants only in terms of their native area/natural habitat, and sometimes medicinal or culinary use, can maybe prove more factual than useful, so I'm planning to focus more on connections, while so far I’ve only been casually doing it here and there.
All plants can generally, or potentially, perform far more functions than we can think of at first sight, and develop multiple beneficial connections with the organisms around them, and the environment. Here's the richness in the concept and the importance in biodiversity, which in turn we can only introduce after gathering the above mentioned information and observing connections. This won't change my posts dramatically, but hopefully it will make them more useful, especially over time as I start collecting photo material for this project.
I hope you will all feel free to add on to whatever I’ll write if you have different experiences or more knowledge about something due to living somewhere else in the world, I still don’t know where my food forest will be!
Day 1-2 Task: What is a Sentence? What are it's types? What are the possible ordering combinations of sentence words? What is the difference between a phrase, sentence, or paragraph? What are some of the most common spelling rules? What are the usages of different punctuations? And, can I try to make 3-paragraph summary on a particular subject?
