I have a couple of fav authors, here they are and some good fic recommendations should you wish to read :D

In no particular order:

Chipper99, all her stuff is good but I'm currently following What's One More Year? HIGHLY RECOMMEND

@eggymf, another amazing author, all her stuff is good, but man... of paper planes and wildflower...? SOOOO GOOODDDD

@fierymiasma, mostly a one shot author but her stuff are super cute! I really like You Look Better In Green

Speedgriffon with I Know Places, *chefs kiss* for all you omi fans

@choccy-milky, the beloved! The Raven and the Snake an amazing read

@twitchydownfall, The Glory Hole, HOLEY MOLEY SMUT GLORY

@slytherizz, been following In the Shadow of Us, it's making me cry guys. Not for the faint of heart. The slow pining be slow. And the angst be angst.

@applinsandoranges, @sebswebs @anto-pops A MUST. I'VE READ ALL THEIR STUFF. ALL OF THEM GOOD. GO READ THEM ALL.

These are just what I can think of off the top of my head, I'm also not finished discovering a lot of other authors so if I think of more I'll add them below :D

oh no, i just started reading these! But that sounds so depressing! Do the ridiculously adorable characters make up for it a little?

OH NO. I mean, there’s def some depressing moments, and the plot outlined like that makes it sound fairly harsh. There’s a loss of life that is consistent with them being at war, but the books are so enjoyable, so fun! :DD Full of Stephen being a morose little shit, Jack being a happy-go-lucky enormous puppy sea Captain, full of sloths and bees and ants and marsupials, full of sneaky things and navy battles! There’s a character who makes poems and songs about the ship (Mowett!) and the surliest servant anyone has ever had to deal with, but whom they all sort of love anyway (”Which it is toasted cheese, sir....”)(Killick! <3)

Also, the books are full of Jack attempting to make clever puns, mostly failing, and Stephen taking enormous pleasure in that.
