Summary: Song fic of Pretty Girl by Hayley Kiyoko. This is for @hollandfieldluv for @neptuneparker ‘s secret santa! Syd had asked for something with Harrison, so… I hope it’s okay! I don’t write for Harrison so this was a first time for me and it’s very short but like you said you like music so I figured I’d use your favorite song, Syd!
Thursday nights I like
Seeing you under the stars' light
Through the fire as bright
Wanna know what your love feels like
Thursday nights were your thing with your best friend Harrison. Well when he was home and not off being Tom’s assistant. But lately he’d been working on his own stuff, so he was home. Something you were really happy about.
So was he, he’d missed you more than anything while he was away. He could only stay in touch so much when he was working. So, getting to spend these nights with you meant everything to him. Not that you knew that exactly.
The fire in your living room crackled as you tugged your blanket closer to yourself. The two of you were watching a movie, all bundled up in warm blankets on the couch. Harrison instinctively shifted closer to you, earning a soft smile from you.
God, it took everything in him to not lean over and kiss you. He wanted you to be his, wanted to know what it was like to actually hold you and not have the fear of ruining everything hanging above him.
I can see you're real smart
World class piece of art
I can see you in the dark
All we have to do is start
You shifted closer to him again. You really wished you weren’t taking anything the wrong way. Just the way Harrison looked at you, it made your heart soar, he had to feel it too right? No one looked at someone the way he looked at you without feeling something more than friendship, right? You wrapped yourself around his arm and snuggled up into it.
Haz smiled down at you. He knew you were smart. He knew you had to have figured him out, there was no way you couldn’t tell that he treated you differently, or looked at you different or even just that he hugged you just longer than he hugged anyone else.
You were a light in his life. One that he knew could light his way to the correct answer.
I just wanna tell you that you're really pretty girl
I just wanna know if you will let me be your world
I just know you got to taste like candy, candy girl
I just wanna tell you that you're really pretty girl
Fuck, the words were right there, right stuck shut in his mouth. Just like they always were.
The words he knew you’d love to hear. Of just how pretty you are, how deserving of love you were. The words he spoke to himself about how much he wanted you to be his world. How much he wanted to taste your lips on his.
You're the one I like
I will find a reason tonight
Feel it all despite
The fact you don't like my type
But all those thoughts always came to a crumbling halt when he remembered, he wasn’t your type. All he wanted was for you to see him the way he saw you, but he knew he had to be mistaking any kind of sign. But, he knew deep down he needed to get it out, if he didn’t he’d either end up regretting it or he’d end up alone in the world, waiting for when you when you’d never come.
Wait, let me in
I want to show you the shape I'm in
“Let me in,” He whispered to you.
You glanced up at him, your warm smile making his own heart flutter. “Harrison, you’ve been in for a very long time.”
He could only stare at you, wondering if you knew what he meant. Hoping beyond belief that you didn’t think he meant just inside your home. He searched your eyes for an answer but you gave him one before he found it.
You leaned up and placed a kiss on his lips, praying you weren’t ruining everything.
Harrison couldn’t stop himself from grabbing your cheek and pulling you in for a long kiss.

Part 2 is here
Watching your daughter run around, a small smile presented itself on your lips. She seemed so happy, as unaware of all life’s important lessons as she chased after your Dog in the park. The little ones blue eyes blinding you, much like her fathers did on the night you met. For a second you forgot and began to remember how that night progressed.
It was four years prior and you had just turned 21, so sneaking into a party for a film wrap seemed like the best option to celebrate with your best friend, Hannah. You had Y/C/H and were wearing a lilac body suit with a short black skirt to match. You and Hannah fit right in at the scene, everyone seemed young and the few people that noticed you didn’t seem to mind you being there, in fact they waved at the pair of you, as if you belonged.
A few drinks in, you spotted a tall blonde guy, who seemed to be downing shots like there was no tomorrow as he was surrounded himself with what appeared to be friends. A brown haired guy who was the same height, if not a little shorter and another friend who appeared to be the life of the party as they laughed at all his jokes. You had just found your target for the night.
Making your way over, you flashed the nicest smile you had before you accidently bumped into him, causing his drink to spill onto your skirt. What followed was him apologising, his friends apologising for him and him offering to buy you a replacement drink and taking you to the bar. He began patting your crotch area with napkins, as if to dry the wet area before he turned red and realised what he was doing.
“I… I am so sorry.” He stuttered out, placing the napkins back on the counter and ordering a round of whatever he was drinking. “I just, you know it’s not every night you spill a drink on a beautiful girl at your friends wrap party.” He said, mainly to himself before he turned to you “I mean, if I hadn’t spilt my drink on you I Probably would have a better chance with you.” He said again before he shook his head “God Harrison, get it together and ask this girl for a dance.” He muttered to himself again.
“I’d love a dance, Harrison?” You said as your drinks arrived. For a mere second he looked confused, not knowing how you knew his name before he smacked his forehead with his palm, realising he had been speaking out loud. Biting your lip, you grabbed the palm on his head and pulled his scrawny butt onto the dance floor, with a hoot from Hannah and thumbs up from his friends to Harrison, you both danced for a bit before things got hot and heavy, you ended up returning to his hotel room and well… that’s when your daughter was conceived.
Harrison treated you to breakfast the next morning but you never saw him again after that. Of course you got his number but you seemed to have lost the paper it was on and that was the worst mistake you had ever made.
The years following were the hardest of your life. Your father threw you out when he found out you were pregnant, so you moved in with Hannah but after Audrey was born, you hardly thought it should be Hannah’s problem to wake to a crying baby at three in the morning, so you moved out into a small flat. You hated feeling so isolated and you hated yourself for losing his number, you hated that he was never around to help and you hated most that it felt like you’d thrown your life away just like your father had told you would happen. All these thoughts continued until the day Audrey got sick, so sick she ended up in hospital for a few weeks. The bills nearly bankrupt you, the small payments from the government already having just covered your rent and baby needs as it was.
Begrudging as it was, you got a full time job at an office as a receptionist to cover the bills and eventually everything began to fall into place. Audrey got better and much to your better judgement you began putting her in day-care and carried on working, which in the long run helped your daughter get into a better school, you eventually moved into your forever house and from that day on you never once resented anything that happened to you because you realised exactly what a blessing Audrey was.
“Mumma!” The young girl called out as the butterfly had landed in her sandy blonde hair, pulling your phone out, you quickly snapped the moment before posting it on your twitter and Instagram. You deleted your Facebook due to the fall out of your family’s disapproval of your pregnancy.
“Drey-Drey, we gotta go home bubba.” You said to your daughter as she watched the butterfly fly away, waving as it went. As she turned to you, she had her puppy dog eyes out and a pout that could change even the president’s mind. You sighed, knowing you had to stay strong with your words but you wanted nothing more than to give her the world.
“If we go home I’ll cook dino nuggets.” You bargained, knowing she would come running exactly as she did.
When you got home, you put on the children’s channel and let Audrey Veg out while you got dinner ready. Dino nuggets and chips for her and a soup for yourself, with a much deserved glass of wine, letting her eat on the couch as she looked so tired from her running around and playing with buster earlier. When she finished her dinner, you bathed her ending in you also having a bath of the sorts, you read a short story as she fell asleep in her princess bed, clinging onto her Spiderman plush she had acquired from Hannah.
Sitting yourself down on the couch you messaged Hannah only to be sent a news article, it was with a reluctant hand and a roll of the eyes you opened the news article, hoping it wasn’t a jump scare link. When it first loaded your jaw dropped. There in the first image you saw was the father or your child and his best friend, who just so happened to be dressed as Spiderman. The article went on to explain that Harrison Osterfield was his famous best friends Personal assistant, now it all made sense, how you met and exactly who he was. You quickly replied asking what you should do and Hannah suggested you go to the meet n greet that was being held the next day. It was a Sunday which meant no work but then again you would have Audrey with you. Calling Hannah she answered with a laugh.
“Looks like daddy had the dollars now.” She stated, her laugh not fading.
“Han, you know I can’t just show up with Audrey and be all, hey you slept with me four years ago and we have a daughter I failed to tell you about.” You replied, laying down on the couch, your hand running through your hair.
“Well you can’t keep her a secret forever Y/N, He has a right to know about her and to get to know her.”
You sighed, a frustrated growl came out. You wanted him to know and hell knows Audrey wanted to know, she always asked why she never had a dad and it broke your heart every time she asked. She didn’t deserve to go without because you were too scared to confront him.
“Fine! You’re coming with me and you’re looking after Audrey while I talk to him.” You huffed.
