The Magical Adventure of Reading : Ravenclaw Aesthetic
Benefits of Buying Used Books
1. Cheaper books = more money for more books
2. It’s fun to just browse what they have
3. Finding books you never expected to find
4. Finding really cool editions of classics
5. When the spine of the book is broken in really well (good for easier reading)
6. Sometimes they have the previous owner’s name in it (the little details...)
7. Children’s books sometimes have drawings on or in them (shows that it was well loved)
8. Finding bookmarks or receipts in them
9. When they’re in great condition
10. That old book smell
.... These are in no particular order. It’s just things that I’ve known and experienced since I started buying used books almost 3 years ago.
Ravenclaw Headcanon #2
Many Ravenclaws walk round with 'book bites': these are fork prong indentations on the side of their mouths from when they were eating whilst reading.
For a term, book bites became a type of fashion, with Ravenclaws showing off how much they read. It became such a problem that Madam Pomfrey created a magical shield ointment and went to Ravenclaw tower and smeared it round all the students faces.
Hi 🖤
I’m Ellie, and I have an obsession with dark men who would probably hurt me, and I would like it.
I have already read some AMAZING stories here, and I cannot wait to discover more 💗💗💗
XOXO - A girl who really should get a life but is having too much fun in fantasy land with my husbands Paul Atreides and Feyd Rautha
Stay anchored & look for new horizons.
So I think I am addicted, lucky I am on holidays but this could become a problem.
I stayed up to 3 am reading on Wattpad Right By Your Side ~ Larry Stylinson by Ontsmette - such a lovely story, well written and awesome amount of smut.
My childhood obsession with dolphins may have also got my interest.
I woke up the next day to miss the shop in the next town that is only open Tuesdays 9-12. I made myself a promise, no reading today.
Later that afternoon I was reading satellite by suspendrs on AO3 after a recommendation here.
My Sister is the Best
My 8 year-old sister: I finished reading my book. Now what do I do?
Me: read another book?
Sister: But I want to read this one.
Me: Then, reread it.
Sister:Do you do that? How many times have you read your books?
Me (gesturing at Carry On): Well, I've only read this one twice so far. But I've also only had it for about a week.
Sister: I read my book yesterday. And then, I read it again today. Maybe I'll read it again later.
