The art of life is a constant readjustment to our surroundings~!! 🕸 #wednesday #afternoon #spider #spiderweb #tree #leaf #nature #focus #canon #eos70d #ef100mm #macro #lens #photography #the #art #of #life #is #a #constant #readjustment #to #our #surroundings #quote #smile #love (at Kaka Gee House, Rawalpindi) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7DaIRkA0Gu/?igshid=1kxcy8akg6aw6
readjusting takes sooo much sometimes
Here’s my holiday card life update: I’ve been back home in the Bay Area for two months. Readjusting after 4 years abroad has been extraordinarily harder than I expected, but I’ve spent my time working at events all over San Francisco and it’s been entertaining. This week I started my new job as an event planner for a PR StartUp downtown! It’s pretty much exactly what I wanted when I came back: event planning in San Francisco. I’m already drowning in spreadsheets, but I like it. My unofficial first day was Friday when the team went wine tasting in Sonoma. It looks like I’m going to be in the Bay Area for the foreseeable future! ...I guess I can’t avoid adulthood any longer. I will still update my blog with travel experiences and observations. The adventure isn’t over even though I’m going to stay in one place for a while. 🍷🎄 Happy Holidays Peeps!
Ya know what's exhausting?
Trying to pick up on what's appropriate to say or do in conversation from one situation to the next. Trying to figure out at what point have I said too much. Trying to figure out socialization in general with people that aren't immediately close to you. Trying to remember what is socially appropriate outside of your home or in mental health treatment when you haven't been anywhere else in awhile.
I don't know why it's so hard for me to do these things when to everyone else it seems to be easy.
Readjusting to working after having been in treatment and then unemployed and in treatment has been so hard for me socialization wise. Why is this so hard?? It's been over two months and I still can't get it. Why am I so stupid???
The biggest/best tip I can give is to take readjustment slowly. It's been over a month and we're still adjusting, but it's still so amazing to see him & hold him everyday.
