CONFLICT RESOLUTION IS NOT CORNY. Basking in conflict and normalizing it as if it is something cool is. I’m seriously sick and tired of hearing about Black People killing each other. There is NOTHING cool about leaving children without fathers, mothers without husbands or sons, brothers and sisters without a sibling and a community without someone that may have impacted members of it. At some point we have to stop BASKING in our own destruction. Our movies glamorize it, our music glamorize it, our social media posts bathe in it and as a result generation after generation are being raised to continue it. Why don’t we normalize not allowing conflicts to fester, escalate and result in tragedy? Life has no value because we see no value in ourselves.
