they should do what hgcz (hotguy comic zine, @hotguycomiczine*, etc) did but with riptide, i think it'd work really well (but just comics instead of comics and writing, cause i NEED to see a riptide graphic novel)

im not exactly the best organizer in the world so i aint gonna be doing it but i think itd be neat for someone else to. just gather a huge fandom-wide project to make this a thing....hey, i mean, i'd even help! i have thoughts on how it'd work but the scale of the project is too intimidating to me so i'll just say if i was the one to organize it i'd have a few criteria:
keep it as close to canon as possible, with all the in-character dialogue spoken but only having ooc dialogue sometimes (like, with some but not all grizzly moments yk. i actually do picture that taz-comic-style with grizz in the little circle or whatever but honestly yall can do that however you'd like)
gotta have only artists that have actually made comics before probably, cause that shows they're prepared to commit and probably their art is a bit more polished + they're gonna be a bit better at creative framing
maybe have teams? for lineartists/storyboarders/colorists. yk. spread the job out, make it easier for everyone
preferably try to keep the designs consistent across artists
and then we just keep doing that, like, say, one "zine" or comic per arc for however long we want. applications reopen for every arc and like. yeagh. maybe those who've participated before get a bit of a priority if they choose to sign up again, just for (artstyle) consistency's sake, maybe not
also maybe people who've participated in zines before get priority?
i think it'd be cool if there was a playlist like hgcz had.....the hgcz playlist clearly had a LOT of work put into it, it was all lyricless music and the creators of it clearly did a lot of testing to figure out the average reading time of the people who'd be reading it bc every tune seemed to match up with the section being read perfectly, but....if someone(s) wanted to take on That challenge i'd welcome it :)
*tagging them bc im fairly certain the mcyt/jrwi overlap is p big and maybe someone on that team will take an interest
UPDATE i lied i am ABSOLUTELY working on this. but it will probably take a Very Long Time. who knows maybe the riptide hiatus will be up by the time we're done with the first arc..../j
i'll be making the discord server, interest forms, and probably helping mod + storyboard some comics! no fully-done art of my own though, i am not that powerful (also i can only do traditional art because my ipad broke and i have no phone and currently my only electronic device is an apple watch and my 2016 macbook air)
