Something like 99% likelihood they are characters we have at least seen, even if we have never been properly introduced to them. For maximum effect, they should be people that our earl recognizes... and has some emotional response to. Particularly feelings of guilt, but that doesn’t always have to be the case.

If there is a circus member among them, the one that Undertaker had easiest access to is Doll, and she was also the one that our earl was closest to. She even protected him from the others when he was in the wrong part of their camp grounds and made up that lie about being a thief. Canopus would be the best fit, probably.

Our earl might never have been too close to anyone among the Phantomhive servants, other than Tanaka, but he would definitely recognize either of the tall blond men who served as butlers to Vincent... and either of those men would be just as — if not more — devoted to the Phantomhive family now, as a bizarre doll. So, Polaris would be the best fit.

Since Vega appears to be a set of young twins, and the only ones I’ve noticed are Bluer’s young twin sisters, something might have happened to them. Our earl has only seen them once, during events surrounding the Weston cricket tournament, but he would feel sorry for Bluer and have a better understanding of why he was performing with the S4. Besides, any set of identical twins would remind our earl of himself and his older twin. I’ve got more about this in several posts, like this and this.

Lord Sirius: Well, we know that Lord Sirius is real Ciel, and that he’s now got Blavat, Polaris, and others using that title for his younger twin. A crack theory for real Ciel? Maybe that he wants his younger twin’s soul to be combined with his own body, since he cannot get his own soul back from the demon.

Lord Polaris: Since he says “butler”, I will assume this person is biologically male (though I could be wrong), and my biggest crack(?) theory for Polaris is that he’s one of the former butlers from the Phantomhive household, back when Vincent was earl. He died during the attack, but his body was spared the damage that Vincent’s received. In other words, his body wasn’t too badly burned... and it was either picked up by Undertaker or taken right to his funeral parlor by the Yard (or whoever was investigating the crime scene). Undertaker decided to turn him into an advanced bizarre doll because it would be easy to make him retain that loyalty to the Phantomhive family, particularly to whoever was the rightful heir... if either of them survived. Since, at the time, Undertaker probably had to verify that there were no remains of either child at the ruined manor. Just like bizarre doll real Ciel went through a phase of being “mindless”, so would this one. Undertaker probably just kept this one at that mindless stage until he also had real Ciel’s body and the rest , so he could advance all of his chosen “lords of the stars” at the same pace. Or nearly.

Lord Canopus: This is likely someone of relatively low status (like a servant or even lower) who died of severe injuries. They also seem to be relatively small and agile. Their room is the roughly appointed one with the bloody bandages on/near the bed and the trap door in the ceiling. My biggest crack theory for them is, if anyone from the circus was picked up by Undertaker and turned into a bizarre doll, it would be Doll, who was killed by Sebastian in some way that we didn’t witness. Stabbing? Crushing? 🤷🏻‍♀️ But Undertaker was there to witness it and would have had relatively quick and easy access... with John Brown possibly watching....

Lord Vega: Given the way they talk and how their room was appointed, it’s probably a set of twins with somewhat high status. Probably girls. My absolutely crackiest theory about them is that something happened to Bluer’s little twin sisters, and that’s why he pushed himself so hard, to the point of exhaustion, as a member of the S4. You have to remember that the S4 (when they were the P4) killed Agares, Arden, and those others. And then they had Undertaker make bizarre dolls of them. Redmond had contacted his uncle, the viscount contacted Stoker, and Stoker brought Undertaker with him. It’s possible that Bluer’s twin sisters died, and he was desperate enough to beg Undertaker to “bring them back”. Total crack, I know, and I hope it stays that way. I really do. But we have to recall that Bluer will do anything to protect his sisters. He’s the one that got the special invitation to the Midnight Tea Party the previous year... when he took a cricket ball to the face to protect a young woman in the audience... who calls to him by name; I think it’s one of his big sisters that he saves in the audience. He and Vega are not the same blood type, but Polaris (type A) and Vega (type O) can happen among children of the same parents. So, yeah... Lord Vega could be his little twin sisters.... 😔 (Link goes to really old post — over 2 yrs old — about Bluer’s twin sisters and about blood types.)

When bassy break into the music hall (chapter 117 ) no one was there except elizabeth the rooms were empty (the 3 star leave to provide real ciel with blood ) but where did real ciel and ut go ? Mybey ut leaves to meet with the aristocrat from the aurora sociaty but if that's true why did he take real ciel with him ? (Sorry for my bad English)

I think they all got a tip-off, so they had gone into hiding. Undertaker may or may not have been there at the time. But someone knew Sebastian was there in time to have all the lords of the stars go into hiding.

They didn’t have to go far to hide, though... I bet, since they don’t have souls. We know Sebastian has counted/looked for souls before, like when he was looking for Arden and his friends at Purple House. Sebastian didn’t detect anymore souls in the house, and Violet said everyone was outside... but Arden and the rest were still unaccounted for. Turns out they were soulless bizarre dolls. Further evidence that the case is similar for all of the lords of the stars; it’s likely that all of them are bizarre dolls, not just real Ciel/Sirius and Polaris.

Lord Sirius’ room has a few places real Ciel could hide, including that lump in the bed itself. The room for Canopus has a hatch door in the ceiling. Vega’s room has a door that Sebastian apparently never opens. And Polaris’s room shows the bedding draped down so much that Polaris could be hiding under the bed.

If they are quiet and still enough, and since he didn’t do that thorough of a search, they could indeed get away with hiding somewhat easily... even from a demon.

Reposting this really old post because it has been sitting in the flagged post notifications so long, under content appeal, that I have given up on @staff doing their job.... I originally posted it when the chapter was new, and it got flagged after only receiving 14 notes.

Ch117 and ch123, Who are these lords?

Questions....

1. Why is such a well-spoken (former) butler (Lord Polaris) stuck in such a horrid room?

2. Since Lord Polaris says "I shall regret it well into the next life", is he still actually alive (and not a Bizarre Doll)?

3. Canopus is in a modest room and doesn't seem particularly aristocratic, but seems at least somewhat well-spoken.... But here's my question: is that an escape hatch above the bed? The only light fixture I see is the simple bulb lamp on the table.... (The Vegas I posted about just a moment ago....)

UPDATE: Sheesh, that was in 2016, right? We still don’t really know much more about the lords of the stars than we did then.

We do now know that Polaris is a bizarre doll that requires blood to function properly, just like real Ciel... who no longer even goes by Lord Sirius. We can also determine that Polaris’ room was once more like the one that belonged to Canopus, according to the images we were given, but they destroyed it with knives.

There is an escape hatch above the bed that’s apparently in the room for Canopus.

Here’s a new question that’s been bugging me for a while now: Did Yana-san and her staff accidentally get Lord Canopus and Lord Vega mixed up? I ask this because real Ciel wanted to know whether Lord Vega would be a good candidate as a servant, but the room labeled with the ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ is so poshly appointed. What if Lord Canopus is really the two people with the nicely appointed room, and Lord Vega is the one person with a room more like that of Polaris...?

It would help explain why real Ciel would consider not just Polaris but also Vega as servant material, and why they are the ones procuring his “food”. Maybe Vega is the one with the bloody bandages, but they are now recovered enough to run errands.

Then that would mean the two who seem to be rather young are really Canopus; they are a bit posh, they speak in unison and with bubbly speech bubbles, they have nice things... and they would not be expected to act like servants....

What if Ada, with that large facial scar, is the lord of the stars that had all the bandages? 🤔

I know this idea flies in the face of Vega being twins because of myths regarding Vega, but idk. It’s something I feel the need to explore.

From previous chapters, the translation notes of Vol XXIII, and from ch123. Vol XXIII might be giving us a big clue to the identities of the lords of Vega. I no longer think they are twins who share a bed.

I’d already once suggested they might be one male and one female, since one vanity has perfume on it, while the other doesn’t. Sure, that could be a male twin and a female twin, since that can happen… and they could be so close that they share a bed anyway.

However, for the translation page they decided to specify that Vega is important to a Japanese tale of two lovers who are only allowed to see each other once a year (on the seventh day of the seventh month). Now, obviously this ch123 is not set on that day of the year, but this could be a clue that the two “lords” of Vega are actually lovers, not twins…. Lovers who are so in tune with each other that they speak essentially as one.

Who on Earth could they be? Sheesh, I *would* suggest advanced Bizarre Dolls of Peter and Wendy, but the way they talk doesn’t quite match these two “lords”, does it? Also, since they were used to the conditions at the circus, I doubt their room would be so well-appointed. Hmm….

Also, I now think the lab has five fridges because there actually are five lords.

Do you still think the lords are bizarre dolls? I saw a nice theory that said maybe Sirius was ciel's grams?

I still think Lord Sirius is the real Ciel.

However, I now think Doll from the circus is not one of them. I say this because the panels having them speak (except Sirius)… none of them reads/sounds like Doll. She would speak cockney, and none of them read that way.

Vega is definitely two people, and the fact they say the exact same thing at the exact same time suggests they are twins.

Lord Polaris is/used to be a butler, and speaks English with an accent (possibly French accent).

I’m still of the opinion that they are Bizarre Dolls, or at least some of them are, particularly Sirius. However, Yana-san could send us a curve ball or two….

There’s one other idea I’ve been considering lately, that real Ciel is at Sphere Music Hall but not a lord. I file that under crack theory, but that would leave Lord Sirius wide open to be an older person, like Cloudia/Claudia… or someone else. I think the only person it would be impossible to be is Vincent, since even his bones burned to ash.

Hey! What is the canon equivalence between the blood types and Sirius, Vega, Polaris and Canopus?

Here’s a link to an old post of mine (and some followup) about this, including the canon evidence, but basically:

Sirius = AB

Canopus = B

Vega = O (corrected)

Polaris = A (corrected)

Ch123. The lords of the stars are speaking (except Sirius). Canopus and the two Vegas seem to be speaking in English, while Polaris might be speaking in another language. Also, the bubbly shape of the Vegas’ speech bubble suggests a girlishness or some other affectation of speech.

I’m thinking now that Doll from the circus isn’t a lord of a star, after all. She would be speaking English and not very properly, so she’s not Polaris. The two Vegas are speaking the same thing in unison, so they are likely to be twins. So Doll isn’t Vega. Canopus is a possibility, but I really doubt it.

Also… Polaris is a butler?!? Who’s butler? Can anyone recall seeing this font used before in the manga? What language could this be? Or is it being used to denote a specific accent instead of a different language?

It’s also interesting that they detect it’s Bravat/Blavat outside their doors, and they just call out to him like this as he passes. This suggests something is particularly odd about their sensory perceptions. Super-advanced Bizarre Dolls are still likely, but we might have to entertain the idea they could be something slightly different.

(I imagine others are blogging about this, too, but I’m on vacation and am just now reading the translated chapter. I’m posting stuff as I read the chapter and haven’t read other blog posts about it yet, so bear with me….)
