🪢 To the one that didn’t bounce back 🪢
They keep asking why you’re not “back to normal.”
They miss the version of you that never cried in public.
The one that said “I’m fine” and wore it like armour.
But what they don’t understand is you’re not trying to bounce back.
You’re not elastic.
You’re not designed to stretch for everyone else, then snap into place alone.
No.
You’re rebuilding.
Brick by bloody brick.
You’re choosing which parts of the rubble to carry forward.
You’re not a recovery. You’re a rewrite.
And it’s messy. It’s sacred.
It’s yours.

Reinvention is not always loud or linear. Sometimes it’s quiet defiance. A whisper that says, “I’m not who I was, and that’s the point.”
Yes indeed. Sometimes we need to hit rock bottom in order to rebuild our lives in a better and stronger manner. I'll soon be celebrating my three year anniversary at Barnes and Noble. Crazy to think that it's been three years since I started out as a seasonal employee and now I'm a café manager. You just have to make sacrifices, do what needs to be done, get rid of bad habits and start good habits. It wasn't easy and it's still not done. I'm still a work in progress with a whole lotta work left to be done. And I won't quit until I'm at where I want to be. #BuildTheFoundationOnRockBottom #RockBottom #Rebuilding #RebuildYourLife #LifeIsntEasy #LifeChanges #LifeIsAlwaysWorthLiving #LiveLife #MakeChanges #SetGoals #Positivity #PositivityOverNegativity #Hardwork #HardWorkPaysOff #RollingUpYourSleeves #GettingYourHandsDirty #LeadByExample #Motivation #MotivationalWords #Success #Failure #Resilience #SiscoVanilla #SiscoVanillaIsStepping
