Nowadays it seems that relationships are more like connections than relationships. As in social networks: we look at what the other person does, we like it, we heart it. We often just stop to watch, as spectators of what the other person does, without doing any more. This is what we mean when we say that relationships are liquid: they do not solidify, they do not remain, emotions that get out of hand and only serve to satisfy a momentary desire, without being aware that we may cause expectations in the other person and within ourselves. Social networks allow us to talk with multiple people at the same time. But what are these relationships based on? Do we really know the other person? Knowing a person in their privacy requires time, will, surrender. It requires feeling with intensity and not wanting to escape within two hours of experiencing a real bond. Keep in mind that we are not consumer goods, which become obsolete and are discarded: we are human beings, who feel, love and suffer. If we treat others as consumer goods, we will consume them and remain dissatisfied. We will always want more. We want to be "together but apart". Being with someone but meeting other people. Having stability and freedom. We have become unsatisfied and insatiable beings

Yes indeed. Sometimes we need to hit rock bottom in order to rebuild our lives in a better and stronger manner. I'll soon be celebrating my three year anniversary at Barnes and Noble. Crazy to think that it's been three years since I started out as a seasonal employee and now I'm a café manager. You just have to make sacrifices, do what needs to be done, get rid of bad habits and start good habits. It wasn't easy and it's still not done. I'm still a work in progress with a whole lotta work left to be done. The Weary Soul

There is no rest for the weary And I am the weary soul I'm at the mercy of the Creator He is the one in control He's good And just But He's not safe When there is time for rest There is insomnia from stress When there is no stress The is no time No logic No rhyme Coffee tastes good But synephrine doesn't hardly cut it We just have to rough it A thousand milligrams of caffeine All for naught This deep yawn is happening I learn to live In the brink of sleep That life refuses to give Anger keeps me going But even that is failing I'm my own worst enemy The battle never changes It never stops Ever it rages Ruthless is the victor There mustn't be mercy for the evil But evil never sleeps So the good can never rest Together they'll put the double-minded shell to the test The body is capable of more than you think The brain as well We're our own limiter A limitless mindset is a choice Trusting instinct’s cruel voice Tuning to it through the noise It takes practice to expand your horizon Courage as well We have nothing to fear But fear itself My ego belongs on the shelf Next to the sleeping pills Useless drugs not worth the thrill I could go for some prescription amphetamines Adderall, Ritalin, or ephrine I should let that settle in But to stop is to die And that isn't going to happen tonight Night shift can kind of bite So bite back I can't afford myself any slack I must dig deeper and push harder To overcome whatever I lack It'll never be enough But we can't go back Only forward we'll push Fighting tooth and nail Through every ambush The weary soul is not a victim But a warrior Fighting a war That never ends
