What an experience it has been to read this. It's a mini tribute to the fandom, truly beautiful!!!

Arthur being all simp for Merlin is never going to get boring and I think it's because it compensates a bit for the feeling of imbalance compared to what we see Merlin doing in the series.And let it be all whippedd by Merlin if it was satisfactory, it was perfect to make me kick my feet like a schoolgirl

Then we get to the sad part and the explanation that Merlin gives to Gwaine MADE MY EYES WATER How dare you? Merlin speaks to the reader there, I swear, we have been with him in his worst moments and we know all the pain in his heart.

It has been the perfect combination of anguish and comfort With a big and beautiful amount of fluff I'll read it a dozen more times I'm sure

“But it hurts to be apart.” Arthur whined, proceeding to unceremoniously drop all 180 pounds of himself onto Merlin’s lap. “It hurts deep in here.”

Arthur grabs Merlin’s hand and rests it over his heart. Merlin just looks at him with a deadpan look as he wrestles his hand back and tries to shove Arthur off.

Or Merlin believes Arthur has been hit with a love spell and has to deal with an insanely clingy Arthur for two days while he tries to figure out how to break it.

A talk with the druids leaves him thinking about his supposedly unrequited love (and how it might not be so unrequited)
