Mafiatale Sans: He totally understands nightmares. Pretty much all of the Judges are used to nightmares. So he’s able to empathize with you when you wake up sweating from a nightmare. He’s there to listen if you want him to, but if you don’t, he’s happy to just hold you close to his chest while you drift back to sleep.
Mafiatale Papyrus: He may not be used to nightmares, but he knows Sans has them a lot. He’s used to helping Sans calm down after a nightmare, so he basically just applies the same principles to you. He’ll make you some hot chocolate, build a nest of blankets, and turn on a comforting movie if you want. He doesn’t sleep much, so he’s more than happy to spend his non-sleeping time with you!
Mafiaswap Sans (Lucky): He may not be too happy about losing sleep, but it’s worth it knowing that he’s helping you. No matter how tired he is, he’ll always stay awake with you until you fall asleep again. He might encourage you to talk to someone professionally if it keeps happening, but for now he’ll happily sit with you and pet your hair until the sun comes up.
Mafiaswap Papyrus (Slim): Like I mentioned, all the Judges have nightmares, and Slim is no exception. He also has recurring nightmares where he dies, head lopped off with one fatal slash, so it’s easy for him to understand what this is like. Like his brother, he’ll stay awake with you for as long as you need, just making sure you know that you’re safe, and that he’s there.
Mafiafell Sans (Butch): The fact that you’re tortured by nightmares tears him apart. You don’t deserve that. Someone like him, sure, but not you. He offers to take you to a therapist or something if you want. He’s never been to one himself, but he’s heard that they help. When you wake up from nightmares, he’s always happy to just cuddle with you so that you feel safe, not letting you go even when you eventually fall asleep.
Mafiafell Papyrus (Noir): He’s totally ready to throw hands with your brain. Logically, he knows that won’t do anything, but it’s his first instinct when something is bothering you. He’ll probably have to do some research about what to do when you have a nightmare, and he carefully applies his newfound knowledge the next time you wake up screaming. He makes sure you feel safe, he’ll protect you. Don’t worry.
Mafiaswapfell Sans (Scar): Like Noir, he’s tempted to fight these imaginary robots. However, that’s impossible, so he settles for helping you in real life. He’s already used to helping Hound, so he will gladly apply his skills. Anytime you wake up from a nightmare, he’ll usually carry you to the kitchen, we’re he’ll make you some comforting food. Then, he’ll lay you on the couch and cuddle with you while your favorite movie plays.
Mafiaswapfell Papyrus (Hound): When you first tell him about your nightmares, his first instinct is to hug you and not let go. He has to eventually, but he hugs you for a good couple hours. He knows what it’s like to die over and over again, without being able to change anything. He’ll listen to you talk about it, and might suggest things that help him. His main strategy for when you wake up from a nightmare is to cuddle you, to let you know that he’s there and that you’re safe. No robots are going to kill you on his watch.
