It’s Toy Time Tuesday! With...Breyer Alborozo Red Unicorn! This is another from the Stablemates size Unicorn Crazy Surprise Bags. He is a great, really red color. Usually fantasy toys don’t venture into the super bright red, but really, this one looks great in it. He has short white fade sock markings and a slightly silver tip to the tail. The horn is a matching silver. This is a nice change of pace, as usually red is paired with gold. The pose is taken from their Traditionals size (big) one, with some simplification going on (no bangs, hair a bit different) so he’s not an exact clone. The darker red for the hair is nice also. You can notice he has an interference glaze going on (the sheen you see there is not quite white) which gives a sort of pearlized/fantasy glow to it that’s very fun. With an unusual fantasy color, bold look, good sculpted hair & cool color choices this is a great one to collect. Plus, this size is usually pretty inexpensive too.

It’s Toy Time...Tuesday...later... With Breyer Unicorn Crazy Surprise Series 2: Red Andalusian! Well, ol TTT appeared on Xmas eve or so, and with a holiday around things got out of hand so it missed. So now instead it’s Thursday with this appropriately red horse! This is the Andalusian from their 2nd set, and he’s not rare this time. (Previously this pose was) Somehow, the dark red color is like...super suitable for the pose? It just looks really right & nice. The silver hooves/white mini socks are an odd choice because usually gold goes with red...but they do look good here. One thing to really note in-person is the actually blue-ish glaze/over paint/spray whatever that’s all over. Its actually really subtle and cool to see. The first photo here picks it up the most. Blue is another odd choice for a glaze on top of red but it gives it a really unique/unusual quality.  Vivid red is almost never used on a fantasy horse toy (why? Its a pretty color) so this is super to see. Very unusual combinations plus bright color will have this one standing out in any collection. I’m actually sort of surprised they were bold enough to do this. If I accidentally get another of the green (already seen here) and this one too, I’ll add them to my xmas horse/pony display. Remember: you can have this one for only about 3$ if you’re in winter/2019/2020
